Be wary of linking any GCP projects to Firebase. There is no method to unlink the Firebase project from Google cloud.
The only option that Firebase support can give me is to just set my Firebase API's to not make any calls. They can't delete my Firebase account, can't disconnect Firebase from Google. I now need to start a new and configure a new GCP project. I'll need to shift all my application dependencies over to the new project and then can delete the project that is linked to Firebase.
The kicker? Firebase won't let me delete my Firebase account even if the projects are deleted. It will just remain a ghost account.
I'll never step anywhere near this application again.

Getting CONSTANT scam/phishing emails from their domain!

Please stop sending spam to my company mail!

Iam sick of this firebase it should be banned my inbox is being filled - upto 85 a day with misleading e mails.... spam .... promoting gambling lots of gambling as well as lots of other rogue traders/sites .... not to be trusted at all ....
I feel iam being harassed on a large scale daily .....its disgusting how Google allow this ..... contact Google they fo nothing nothing at all disgusting

An awful shell of a company that is linked with Google. This is a service that allows “ab”users a way to spam people’s inboxes with obvious and malicious spam. The only way offered to “report” this is a form where you have to fill out all of the details yourself (doing there work for them). A company that allows this behaviour and does nothing about it should be avoided at all costs… unless you are a scammer, then this company is well suited to you.

I received over 100 spam emails from this site.

Firebase users abuse their position. I’ve had countless emails for all sorts of products that I have and would never use. I’ve blocked users of firebase and they still send through spam thick & fast. Appalling behaviour. Wonder where they obtained my contact info?

they sell faulty goods !! and do not offer refunds or even to swap out the fault goods !!! avoid this shop

Bad . So over complicated with googleclound linking for hosting online. IT was SUPPOSEDD to be a free ez solution, but its PAID NOW

And, firebase studio is so not good. I have been getting a single error, and its not able to solve it.

It's incredible how complex Firebase has become, because of the link with Google Cloud. Firebase used to be an easy solution, but it's all soo overly complex that I don't trust any of it.

Maybe I will suddenly get a large bill because I made a mistake, or the configuration is bad. It's really annoying. The service has gone from an easy to use cloud solution to a complete mess of configuration annoyances, security angst, complex issues.

The documentation is overly complex. You loop around in al the options. And everything refers to Google Cloud again.

Nothing is easy with Firebase anymore. It has become a little glue on top of GC, nothing more.

They have made it super easy to get started, in the sense of adding firebase to you project. However, if you want to use it for anything, it gets much more complicated and is full of bugs. I needed to just have basic email authentication, and that is broken by default on all new projects. You can sign up with your email, but you are not allowed to sign in again. It has been like this for 3 months, see firebaseui issue 1040 (unfortunately I'm not allowed to post direct link). Firebase itself might work, but do not rely on Google to maintain FirebaseUI.

DO NOT INTEGRATE FIREBASE - YOU WILL REGRET IT.

We have implemented standard push notifications in dozens of apps but recently had a client that insisted on Firebase for all services as they wanted to use some of the additional features. Integrating Firebase has been a complete nightmare and caused us countless lost hours. Every SDK we have used (iOS, Android, Python) is extremely poorly documented. The majority of things one needs to know is not documented. Additionally, the SDKs are full of bugs. You have to work around almost every feature. The entire design of the Firebase APIs are almost non sensical. No consistency, no proper naming, different operation than stated. The issues with firebase are absolutely endless. AVOID.

Now, some might strongly disagree with me on what I am about to say, just keep in mind this is my opinion:

First off, firebase is amazing for any new or experienced developer that wants to create a web application but doesn't like back-end or needs a trusted ( more on that later ) hosting for it.

The features it offers are 2 types of databases, a storage solution, authentication, ads, analytics and functions. All of them run fine and are just as promised, the problem appears when you start going over the free limit. While not being very expensive, sometimes renting a VPS, setting up Appwrite.io and using that is cheaper, as firebase has Google Cloud prices, which are not the most friendly ones.

Now, about privacy: technically, when you store a users data with firebase you don't actually own it ( by my understanding of the service terms ), meaning your users data is not private from third parties, leaving google with all of your data at their disposal.

tl;dr : Why 3 stars? Well, I like my users data to be private and be shared only with my and theirs consent. Also, it is a bit pricey compared to the self-hosted alternative. Is it amazing? 100% yes! Would I used it in production? If the data is shared by default, no.

Fornisce vari servizi come:
1) Database
2) Storage per file
3) Auth per autenticazione utente
4) Cloud Functions, funzioni da usare nella tua app da remoto
ecc...

Unica pecca: rende la tua applicazione davvero pesante.
