I booked 2 busses with Student First Berrien Springs to transport 89 people from New Buffalo to our wedding venue… in seats!!! I worked extensively on logistics to ensure everything went smoothly. They sent handicap busses which only had seats in the front. This left my guests (elderly, children) forced to stand on a bus for 45 minutes on highways and rural roads. I was NOT made aware of this until the following day. When I called First Charter they responded with an email saying that I agreed to having my guests stand on the school busses—patently false (insane). After further review with MDOT, State Patrol, Attorney General’s office I learned First Student Berrien Springs was not licensed in the state of Michigan. It had been revoked.

Poor Communication
We were never contacted by the local provider confirming transportation. After calling First Student Charters Bus Rental, they suggested we reach out to the local provider. It was early Friday (day before the wedding), we called both of the numbers given for the local provider. No answer.
We left voicemails at both numbers, and texted with someone at the second # when they asked who we were. Then that person ghosted. We never heard back with confirmation until 9:45 pm the night before our wedding!!
The driver was great but her mgmt. is/are terrible at communication.
