I left my car with Flamenca which I have many times with no problems,I have always left my wife’s mobility scooter in the boot for .convenience this time I arrived in Spain was were met at the airport no problems,we drive straight home as we are not young and we’re tired,when we picked up the car the guy asked us if we wanted to put our bags in the boot,I told him he wouldn’t be able to that as the scooter takes up most of the room,
So we parked our car on our drive at home and didn’t go near it until Sunday when we were going out for lunch I open the boot and saw that my wife’s scooter had gone missing including the reverlant chargers.straight away we sent an email to Flamenca,we had no reply so I managed to get the owners number so phoned her,she admitted that she hadn’t got the email so I explained what had happened she was not interested.
She is telling me that why didn’t I report it on the Saturday and I replied that I hadn’t even been to the boot until the Sunday,her reply was I had to prove that the scooter was in the boot when we dropped off the car,to which I replied how the hell can I do that,I told her that one of the people who had access to to keys had stolen the scooter she did not like the fact that I had accused her staff,I pointed out that I have better things to do than report the scooter missing for no reason to which she replied she trusted her staff she was more of less calling me a liar,she just kept saying I would have to prove the scooter was in the car again I lold her that was impossible,my wife always kept the scooter key in an old spectacle case which was still in the front of the car,she asked me what I was expecting her to do about it I replied I just wanted my disabled wife’s scooter returned to her.
I might as well have talked to the moon she was so obstinate,I pointed out to her someone had been in our car as there were empty cans of orange in the back of our car,we don’t drink cans of orange she couldn’t explain that one,we keep a pot in the front of the car which we put change as a lot of people do that had gone she also couldn’t explain that either,I suggested that she check the ctv that they advertise on the radio,she said she would i haven’t heard anything at this time.
I suggested that I didn’t think the treatment we got from her was the sort of thing there customers who pay there money in good faith should have to put up with.
She had no answer just that I had to prove the scooter was in the car for about the tenth time.so people out there please come to your own conclusions as to whether you think I have been treated fairly by ‘this company.
Just don’t leave any thing in the car if you are crazy enough to use these people.

If its still trading avoid like the plague

Just like many others this company took our money then cancelled 2 weeks before pickup date without reason and said refund would follow.
That of course was the end of communication no mater how I tried to get response from them. Customer service never answers, emails I suspect go straight into trash.
What makes some companies treat people like this, they take your hard earned and just keep it believing that's acceptable. Thank goodness there are some responsible companies out there this however is NOT one of them. If there not out of business they should be. Truly shocking !
I have used chargeback with my CC provider.

UNTRUSTWORTHY AVOID

I have bought a car from this company car hire and know a lot more people have done the same . We are all waiting on transfer of tax book to our names ans yet we all have paid our money . They have scammed us out of 8000 . For a car and I know 3 others in the same boat so there must be loads of us all scammed.
Avoid these people
Don’t trust them with parking your car and keeping it as they are not trust worthy .
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

It's all gone pear shaped

Yep, as per other review, Flamenca cars appears to have imploded. I heard they were unable to get the cars they used to have and I was one of those who was cancelled with no other explanation than "beyond our control" and a vague promise of a refund of the deposit which has not appeared. You should avoid this company now. They used to be good but it has all fallen apart it would seem.

A very dodgy set up

On the past two occasions Flamenco Parking have taken my car with plenty of petrol for my return journey and it has been delivered back with the reserve petrol light on twice in the early hours of the morning, and the roads to the parking facilities,are unusable.
I found the company very unprofessional and I would not trust them with any vehicle I have of value.
There used to be two or three year deals but that is to get the money in.
The future of this company and the way it's run is far from professional and I and other people have been let down for over an hour with no vehicle, and unsure if I could make it home in the dark on two occasions,because of disappearing petrol , I cannot allow
My valuable goods to be abused ,and parked in a road so bad it is only a matter of time before the suspension and base of the vehicle will be wrecked.
I have asked for a refund for the balance of the contract,as I have absolutely no faith in the dodgy set up they call flamenco parking.
I believe the car hire is in liquidation
And helpful members of staff are no longer there.
My car from start to finish was not secure in any way. Avoid flamenco parking,or take your chances

Not Trading

They took the money for a car hire after they had finished trading. I am trying to get the money back through my bank, but I was lucky as we found out before our holiday others on facebook have not been so lucky.

Avoid avoid avoid.. booked a car with Flamenca cars months in advance of our holiday. Then got an email a few weeks before we arrived to cancel our reservation and said they would send a refund. No refund and no communication with them, they just do not respond!! This was our 1st time to book from them and we will never use them again. Pathetic company and just refuse to engage with their customers.

Flamenca Parking

In September 2024 I took an annual contract to Park with Flamenca.
I Paid 1 Year in Advance
I Contacted them to take car for ITV.
Passed ITV
On return from ITV having passed the ITV the car broke down.
Car was taken to Flamenca parking. It had oil. I had the car taken to my garage.
There was Absolutely no oil in sump. No cracks. No holes. No broken Seals. No visible sign of leak. Engine was seized.
Mechanic said there could not have been enough oil to get to test station never mind return but passed ITV.
All warning lights must have been on.
Flamenca finally after legal threats responded to my emails.
They refused to take any responsibility.
I requested the balance of my annual payment in advance to be refunded to me but to date have had no response.
Lovely way to treat Customers.
My car was an American import, a Chrysler Town & Country. Beautiful car but I had to have it scrapped.
I Cannot Recommend Them.
A Terrible Service if anything happens to your car while in there care.

In September 2024, I signed an annual parking contract with Flamenca, paying one year in advance.

I contacted them to take my car for its ITV, which it passed. However, during the return from the test, the car broke down. It was taken back to Flamenca parking, where they confirmed it had no oil. I then had it transported to my own garage.

My mechanic found that there was no oil in the sump—no cracks, holes, broken seals, or visible leaks—yet the engine had completely seized. He stated there couldn’t have been enough oil for the car to make it to the test station, let alone return, and that warning lights must have been on throughout.

He gave me a video and report which I sent to Flamenca.

After repeated emails and eventually legal threats, Flamenca finally responded, but denied any responsibility. I requested a refund of the unused portion of my annual payment, but have received no reply.

My car, an American-import Chrysler Town & Country that I took great pride in, ultimately had to be scrapped.

In my experience, I cannot recommend Flamenca. If anything happens to your car while in their care, expect terrible service and no accountability.

Appalling business practise

Used this company for years after chasing Murcia to do with our booking and being ignored for approx 1 month I called Alicante office to be told all hire cars cancelled as they have gone bust and we have all been notified. We were never notified, or refunded have reported a fraudulent claim against them with our bank, lots of people owed money not to mention people landing to no hire cars cancelled. Companies go bust but be honest I know owners who have lost 100s of pounds also booking last minute when they knew they were going under it’s appalling

I absolutely love this company

I absolutely love this company, their service is unrivalled. I have been with them for 2 years now so have used their service for around 15 trips which is 30 drop off/collections without an issue.

Moving their cars at Murcia without any issues to get heir customers is another way sample of their service.

Disgraceful and heartbroken

Booked a car for myself and my family to attend a family wedding. Paid in full months ago but have been emailed saying that they are no longer able to provide a car. The wedding is in a couple of weeks and everywhere is fully booked so i now have no way to attend. Disgraceful

Be careful

Booked a Car in January, been trying to contact them for 4 weeks with no response via email or phone, 6 days before collection an email saying its been cancelled with no explanation, still not had a refund yet.
Used to be a great company but there is obviously something going, likely they are going bust.

Gone downhill

They used to be so great. Easy to book and smooth process. Now I can't even get a reply to a WhatsApp or email enquiry. Customer service appears to be nonexistent. The website is useless too. I thought I'd booked online but no confirmation email so had to call them to sort it out. What a pity. I

Poor aftercare and no responsibility

Poor handling, no support when things go wrong!

Arrived at the airport with my family of five — no one there to meet us. Tried calling their office numbers and WhatsApp, no response. After 40 minutes, finally got through. Was told they’d call back — waited another 15 minutes, nothing, chased again and was promised another call back. Eventually got a call from Lucy apologising: The car we were due to hire had been in a serious accident the night before and they had no replacement (apparently). Their approach was: Here’s your money back, sorry, see you later — as if that absolved them of any responsibility or duty of care.

She even mentioned they don’t cover compensation — despite the fact I hadn’t asked for any. That said a lot. They were already trying to limit the damage to themselves, when all I wanted was the hire car I’d paid for in advance or a replacement from either of their 2 offices. They could have emailed, texted, or called me to let me know there was a problem in advance. But it was me who had to chase them down.

This wasn’t about the severity of the accident — it was about how Flamenca handled it afterwards. No plan, no backup, no urgency. We were left stranded at the airport in peak summer with young children. I asked them to at least get us to our villa. They said they’d call back again. Eventually agreed to send a car or taxi.

As we couldn’t risk waiting any longer, we booked a new hire car at the airport — costing us €600, which was over €200 more than our original booking we’d already paid with them. Told Flamenca to cancel their driver, they agreed and said the refund was coming.

Chased for 5 days. Refund finally came — but only partial. They refunded me half the amount I paid.

Can’t fault the pre-booking communication, but zero stars for aftercare and abandoning us at the airport. They should have helped us find another hire company or made a recommendation as a bare minimum. Poor customer care, no contingency, no accountability.

They offer good prices and communication upfront, but when things go wrong, there’s no support. Pay extra and go with a bigger company. I’ve used Lara Cars before — far better service and reliability.

NEVER AGAIN

Hired from Flamenca previously as recommended by family. First time we hired they were spot on. No fuss, no unnecessary charges just very easy to use with pleasant staff.
Unfortunately, this was not the case when we hired from them the second time. To say we were absolutely shocked is a complete understatement.
Second day into our holiday we experienced issues with our key fob - it would not unlock the car. Called the office and they were great. Sent someone over without any hesitation. Issue was sorted. Same happened again on the fifth day so as we did previously, we called the office and again the lady we spoke to was very helpful and suggested they would change our car to ensure this didn’t happen again. New car arrived within the hour which was great. Last day of our holiday, we arrived home from our day out to missed calls from the company and also a WhatsApp message confirming the drop off time at the airport for the following day. We then received a call from a guy named Tel or Pel stating he was the owner of the company. He informed us that he was on his way to see us. Unsure why, we met him outside the apartment. What happened next shocked me to my core! He approached us with what can only be described as a very “bullish” attitude. He stated raising his voice instantly stating he had over 300 cars in his fleet and that there was nothing wrong with any of them. He then continues to raise his voice and told my partner to remove his hands from his shorts pocket as he didn’t want to fight something with their hands in their pockets! FIGHT, yes FIGHT. He was nose to nose with my partner and said "the problems stop with me" to which I asked why he felt we were a problem when all we did was let them know we were having an issue with the key fob. He then continued by saying "people like you get dealt within in 2 minutes", " people like you end up getting buried"! He then proceeded to shout at me because he thought I was filming him. I was merely holding my phone in my hand. He then lunged towards me and grabbed my arm trying to free my grip on my phone. At this point we retreated back into the safety of our gardens. WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. ABSOLUTE BULLIES WHO ARE ONLY EASY GOING WHEN EVERYTHING IS GOING GOOD. This guy also felt the need to mention that his grandparents started this business over 30 years ago. WELL, I HOPE THEY ARE EXTREMELY PROUD OF THE WAY YOU ARE RUNNING A BUSINESS THEY NO DOUBT WORKED VERY HARD TO SUCCEED. AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO THEM.

Best car rental experience in Murcia…

Best car rental experience in Murcia ever!! Very responsive to emails and telephone calls for any issues I had with my booking.
The staff I dealt with all spoke English which was so helpful.
There are really no hidden cost or up-selling at point of collection absolutely transparent.
At the airport arrivals and departures there was someone looking out for me to collect/ return the car.
Honestly the quickest I have ever left the airport!
