The artist was really friendly, and did a wonderful job, & did exactly, as I requested her to do.

I’ve used flayr twice now and got two different makeup artists, extremely professional and very happy with the end results. I will be using them again!

I booked using Flayr, paid the deposit, and received a confirmation email. I contacted the artist on Sunday before the appointment giving instructions regarding parking. She responded. All good I thought.
The morning of my appointment I called the artist at 9:20 am (appt was at 9) to see where she was. She said “you cancelled” I certainly had not cancelled. She sent me the cancellation email sent to her FROM FLAYR. My account and link still showed I had an appointment. I messaged Flayr on the number they provided for “urgent matters” telling them the situation. They didn’t respond for OVER 2 HOURS and tried blaming the make up artist as a no-show. They are processing a refund of my deposit but have provided no explanation, no phone call, no apology and no compensation. DO NOT USE THEM to book- and I wouldn’t use them as a booking system as an artist either. They are trying to charge the makeup artist a $100 no show fee and blame her. The worst customer service I have seen in a very long time.

I love the choice of artists and how you can see the profiles of each individual stylist and price before booking. Very quick to reply when I needed clarification on something and it was sorted quickly. Would definitely use them again

Flayr made it so easy to find the right make up artist without any fuss for my wedding this April. Within a day or two of finding this very helpful website, I had selected and booked my chosen make up/ hair stylist. The website enabled the make up artist to get in touch with me straight away and I was able to send photos of my ideal hair and make up looks for my bridesmaids and I. The portfolio of work - the images and reviews - helped me to make my choice with no regrets.

Do NOT use this website for your bookings. You will be severely out of pocket. When you try to book a specific artist, the website will tell you that they are unavailable and encourage you to book another artist ASAP, so effectively, you have to pay two deposits (or more!), to ensure you are covered. Then they tell you the original artist you booked IS available, and you can just use the second deposit as a "credit" on your Flayr account. But what if you never use their services again? How many people, in this cost of living crisis, can afford to have money sitting in credit somewhere that they may never use? I specifically wanted to use this site for the first time to have a stylist attend my home to "glam me up" for my first Xmas function with my new employer, wanting to look and feel my absolute best, and the whole process was just stressful, expensive and left me wondering if the whole thing is a scam. Go to your local hairdresser / beauty salon instead - you'll probably save money and be contributing to your local economy and small business as well. I will be escalating my complaint to the relevant authorities if I don't get my money back. Buyer beware!

The hairstylist created amazing hairstyles for me and my bridesmaids. She was professional, friendly, and efficient, and we couldn't be happier with the end result, which was exactly what we had hoped for.

I selected Warda based on her positive reviews, despite her services being the most expensive, as I sought the highest quality. I provided her with several photographs showcasing my desired makeup and hairstyling. However, she informed me that she does not perform hairstyles involving an updo and only accommodates hair worn down without extensions, to which I responded affirmatively. The specific style I requested was hair worn down with a side-swept fringe. Initially, she agreed to this request. However, the following day, she communicated her preference to conduct only the makeup application and not the hairstyling. Her combined fee for hair and makeup was nearly $200, which caused me discomfort regarding the service arrangement. Consequently, I opted to cancel the appointment and request a refund. I have since discovered that I am not eligible for a refund, but rather only for credit, which I find unjust given that the stylist advertised both makeup and hairstyling services and later restricted her services to makeup alone. I am disheartened by the company's refusal to issue a refund following my cancellation, which occurred almost 24 hours after the payment was made. The event for which I required these services is scheduled in six weeks. Additionally, it is unfortunate that communication with the stylist is contingent upon a deposit. This situation raises significant concerns regarding fairness and customer service.

If youre a Makeup artist DONT use this company...they dont care one bit about artists, only how much they can make from you. I had to cancel a client, which I had never done before, due to a sudden death of a loved one. I was told my account would be suspended untill I paid $100 to reactivate plus they would add a 1 star review to my profile which was all positive client reviews. When I finally decided to pay the fee and reached out...they have completely ignored me. They also dont make it clear to clients that any deposit paid does not go to the artist it goes direct to the company, so if a client cancels on an artist...the artist is left out of pocket but the client is able to use deposit towards another booking. Very poor treatment of the artists that are making them the profit!

I recently used Flayr for a special occasion and was absolutely impressed! The booking process was smooth and the make-up artist arrived on time, fully prepared, and very professional. The final look was flawless — exactly what I asked for, and it lasted the entire day.

As a first time user it was quite stressful due to flayr not having a phone line (just email) and not being able to get hold of the artist due to a phone issue. I didn’t know if I’d been scammed, turns out they were legit but was inconvenient having that stress during a very busy time arranging a huge event. Now that I know flayr is legit I will definitely use them again as it was easy to book and they were communicative by email

First time booking through Flayr. I was nervous about the service as I hadn’t used it before and hadn’t heard of it before, came across it doing a google search. But booking was easy and makeup artist made contact with me and all went really smoothly!

First time user! Found it easy, was updated including notifications in real time as well as reminder and details about appointment loved the infor I could provide beforehand as well as about my artist.

It was so easy to contact hair and make-up artist and to have them responded quickly to let us know if they were available or not. Your company made it very easy to find the perfect fit for us.

The whole process was easy and affordable. Kahlia’s work was well suited for the occasion and we looked fabulous.

This website help me alot, from a florist, baker and make up artist. Trusted website for sure. I dont have any problem at all. I would recommend this flayr to everyone! This made my day easy, in organising everything. A huge thank you ☺️

This website is very user friendly and I like you can see a bunch of client results images attached to the MUA. It did take me over 10 requests for me to have an artist accept my hair and makeup job, and it wasn’t cheap! I found out after the artist had driven almost two hours for the job which surprised me because i thought putting a location in would generate a local artist. My artist arrived almost an hour early because of the daylight savings change and I wasn’t ready for them (still wrangling the kids to be fed and entertained while I was going to busy).
The communication on this website is not good. It took a long time and many messages to eventually get a message response, and to be honest I think I text her first before and got a response that way before she noticed my messages on the site, so I’m not sure the artists get notified easily through it.

My makeup and hair was good and I was happy with the service in the end. It took 4 days to get all the hairspray out of my hair.

Loved Vicki.. she was fantastic, experience and taken a interest what I wanted... my make was light but as I don't wear much makeup it lasted the night.. as for my hair she listened and went beyond my imagination and done an incredible job.. which lasted the whole night also. Unlike the bridal party who went elsewhere didn't last before the actual wedding. A big thankyou to Vicky from Flayr.. I will highly recommend you
