Terrible

Terrible, charged me sequentially 5 times even though I was in a trial and never notified me I'd be 20 dollars extra. Do not waste your money. Very shady, and the AI product is crap. I got more out of Gemini for free. Just use Kicad.

Charged $142 after canceling a free trial — support went silent

Signed up for the 14-day Pro free trial just to explore the platform. On May 3, before the trial ended, I canceled through their in-app support. Their team confirmed in writing that the plan was canceled and I'd keep access through May 17.

On May 5, I was charged $142 anyway. My account still shows the plan as canceled.

I messaged support immediately with the full timeline, screenshots of their own confirmation, and a 48-hour window to resolve before disputing. Three days later, still no response — even though their support shows as active within the last 30 minutes.

Filing a chargeback with credit card. Be careful with the free trial here — canceling apparently doesn't stop them from billing you, and getting anyone to respond afterward is its own problem.

I tested Flux.ai during the free trial and had an extremely disappointing experience.

I provided:
- A fully completed bill of materials
- A complete netlist
- Markdown documentation containing datasheet parameters for every component

The project was already heavily prepared before importing into Flux.ai. The AI still spent around 20 minutes “thinking,” making what appeared to be endless random tool calls and external lookups, including searching the web for components even though all relevant datasheet information had already been provided.

By the end of the session:

- All 20 "ACU" credits were consumed (equal to the monthly credit limit of the $142 dollar Pro plan)
- No working schematic was produced
- No usable PCB layout was produced
- No meaningful simulation results were generated

The most frustrating part was that the AI seemed to get stuck on irrelevant details instead of actually completing the engineering work. Watching it burn through the entire monthly allocation without delivering anything usable made it impossible for me to justify paying for the service. For a service marketed at $142, it has added zero value to my projects.

The concept is promising, but in its current state the pricing-to-results ratio feels completely unreasonable for serious PCB development workflows.

SCAM!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD!

They will charge you immediately, there is no 14 day free trial. It simply does not exist, even though they claim it does. Once you enter your credit card, charges start within about an hour. I used the service for about 20 minutes and canceled the subscription right after, but they still charged me immediately after I canceled.

There is no explanation, no receipts, no information, just charges.

They charged me 6 times, $20 each. I blocked my credit card, and they still attempted to charge me two days after I canceled the subscription. Customer service does not exist.

I repeat,DO NOT SUBSCRIBE to this service. You will get multiple fraudulent charges, and you will likely need to block and replace your credit card because they do not stop charging and they won't answer your support calls.

EDIT, in response to FLUX’s comment:
1. You did not respond to my messages on your website chat or via email, yet you chose to reply here, which is absurd.

2. You have a 2 star rating on Trustpilot. Even if what you are doing is technically legal, which I seriously doubt, your billing and subscription terms are clearly problematic. Maybe that is why so many users are leaving negative reviews. (Isn't that obvious?

It is ridiculous for a company to show no intention of improving.

ONCE AGAIN, STAY AWAY.
Their product is just as bad as their billing and customer service.

Regarding the ACU consumption charges, we understand how confusing receiving a bill you didn't expect is, and I'm happy to explain.

Flux's subscription, and ACU's are billed and charged separately:
- A subscription gives you access to the tool (project creation, schematic, layout, exports, etc). This is billed every 30 days, and can start during a "14 day trial" if you run out of credits in your trial, and accept the prompt to start a paid plan, thus ending your trial prior to the 14 day period.

- ACU's are extra outside of those included in your plan, and are only billed if you interact with our AI features. Every subscription gives you free ACUs, but any other consumption on top of those will be charged.

Deceptive Billing Trap: Charged Twice Despite Cancellation!

Beware! Deceptive billing practices. I canceled my subscription but was still charged. Then, while trying to use my remaining credits, the system automatically triggered another $20 charge without any confirmation or warning. This app could of been okay... But instead is so bad it's forced me to leave a negative review. Something I don't like todo.

Whilst the app may have been good, I’ll never know — I barely got to use it before it started charging me like it had direct access to my bank account.

Avoid this app unless you enjoy surprise payments.

I was using the AI when I “ran out of credits” (convenient). A tiny bit of green text appeared offering more. Naturally, I assumed this would take me to a pricing page or at least some kind of confirmation. Nope. Instant £15 charge. No warning, no confirmation screen, no chance to back out. Just tap = charged. That’s not a design choice — that’s a trap.

And somehow, it gets worse.

I asked it to generate a PCB design, which took about 20 minutes. During that time, the app quietly charged me another £30 (two more £15 payments) because of whatever it was doing in the background. No alerts, no “this will cost extra,” nothing. Just silently billing away while you sit there thinking everything’s fine.

So in under an hour, that’s £45 gone — with zero transparency and zero control.

At this point, it doesn’t feel like you’re paying for a service. It feels like the app is just seeing how much it can get away with charging before you notice.

I genuinely don’t understand how this kind of payment flow is allowed. No clear pricing, no proper opt-in, no safeguards — just “tap here” and hope you don’t realise what’s happened until it’s too late.

For £45, I could have paid someone on Fiverr, agreed the price upfront, and actually got a finished result without my wallet being chipped away in the background. I gave this a try because AI tools are becoming more common — lesson learned.

As a business owner, I can’t wrap my head around this approach. If I charged customers like this, I wouldn’t have a business — I’d have complaints. It’s not clever, it’s not innovative, it’s just shady.

Being billed in USD suggests this company is based in the US. Maybe this sort of thing you can get away with there, but in the UK this kind of “charge first, explain later” approach wouldn’t go down well at all.

And before the developer drops a generic copy-paste response about “terms” and “user responsibility” — don’t bother. If your system relies on people not noticing charges in real time, that says everything.

If you want to test how fast £45 can disappear if not even more, give this app an hour.

Otherwise, stay well away.

Great concept - but don't waste your money on the AI copilot

The Flux AI assistant sounds great on paper and it does create some really good plans, accurately summarizing what the user wants to do, including a list of "success criteria". But when it comes to executing those plans, it burns through credits so fast it feels like actually burning money. I burned through at least $50 of credits in less than 30 minutes, without any useful output. Instead it corrupted the project and Flux AI now refuses to do any work (because I refuse to buy more credits, fool me once ...). While I love the concept of a web-native schematic/PCB editor and have been following Flux for several years, eagerly waiting for it to mature enough to warrant a switch, I must say that it's not there yet. It is rude - and TBH scammy - to charge this much for AI credits when it appears everybody is having the same experience. Considering the amount of work I am able to accomplish with Claude Cowork/Code for $20/mo it make no sense that Flux is charging $50 for 30 minutes of "thinking" that doesn't lead anywhere. Flux people: You're doing great work, but you need to stop luring people into paying for the AI copilot until 1) it actually works, 2) the cost is reasonable vs. the output.

Fehlende Kernfunktionen, kein (Teil‑)Refund – enttäuschende Erfahrung

Ich habe ein Abo abgeschlossen, weil in Doku und Copilot zentrale Funktionen genannt wurden (u. a. @schematic_placement, verlässliches Autorouting/Layout). Nach Beginn stellte sich heraus, dass diese Features nicht verfügbar oder nicht wie beschrieben nutzbar sind. Selbst die Anforderungen an die Funktionen des Schemas wurden nicht von dem Tool umgesetzt. Das Schema wird irgendwie hingeworfen, schwer lesbar, schwer nachvollziehbar und nicht sinnvoll exportier- oder speicherbar und der Großteil fehlt einfach. Die Nutzung meinerseits war minimal, dennoch wurde ein (Teil‑)Refund abgelehnt mit Verweis auf „verbrauchte Credits/ACUs“. Support blieb freundlich, aber ohne Lösung; lediglich die Kündigung zum Ende des Abrechnungszeitraums wurde bestätigt. Insgesamt fehlt Transparenz über den tatsächlichen Funktionsumfang – für mich aktuell keine Empfehlung. Auch fehlt jegliche Transparenz auf der Webseite zu den Verantwortlichen und der Firma, die hinter Flux.Ai steht. Es grenzt an Scam.

Potenzial erkennbar, UI grundsätzlich ok.
Negativ: Dokumentation/Versprechen vs. Realität, instabiles Autorouting/Layout, schlechte Performance, kein Entgegenkommen beim Refund.

What you are seeing is a pre-authorization. When you sign up for a trial, your card is run for a pre-auth to make sure we can honor the trial period by ensuring it's an active card in your name. This pre-authorization will post and officially be charged if you continue after the trial period, but will be cancelled and removed from pending if you cancel your plan before the period ends.

Now, because you've reached out many times, I have gone ahead and cancelled your account effective immediately so you don't have to worry about getting the pre-auth charged. Reach out to your bank if you don't see the money released in the next 5 days.

Charged After Account Deletion – Serious Billing Issue

This is one of the most frustrating and concerning services I have used.

After finishing the trial, I explicitly deleted my account.
Despite that, I continued to be charged.

The situation is very clear:

* The account was deleted
* I cannot log in
* The service is completely inaccessible
* Yet charges are still being applied

This alone is unacceptable.

On top of that, the overall service itself felt outdated and difficult to use.
The UI/UX is not intuitive, workflows are confusing, and the value provided does not justify the pricing in my experience.

What is even more concerning is the support response.

Instead of addressing the actual issue (being charged after account deletion),
they repeatedly explained how their trial and ACU system works — which is irrelevant.

At one point, they even suggested checking my account.
That is impossible, because **the account no longer exists**.

This suggests either a serious lack of understanding or an attempt to avoid the issue.

Additionally, I found multiple public reports describing similar problems:

* Charges after cancellation
* Billing continuing after account deletion
* Difficulty stopping subscriptions

This raises concerns that this may not be an isolated issue, but potentially a **systemic problem**.

At this stage, I have had to escalate the issue and consider a chargeback.

Between the billing issues, poor support, and overall usability problems,
this service does not meet even basic expectations.

I strongly recommend extreme caution — or avoiding it altogether — until these issues are properly addressed.

I booked the free "Pro" Trial. When I switched to the Basic version within the free trial period, I got charged $140. Very annoyed. Hidden Fees and an Unfinished Product

1: I took out a subscription. It was not apparent that usage within the subscription would incur additional costs. With a significant time delay, an extra 20 USD was charged for "Flux ACUs - usage based" on top of the subscription fee. Support has been uncooperative. They refused to answer the question of when and where I was informed about costs beyond the subscription.

2: The quality of the product. As of March 2026, it is very immature and barely usable.

Hard to cancel... use at own risk

Used it for 10 minutes cos of the advertising, but it didnt quite produce what i wanted. Went to cancel, and like many, I can confirm 100% that the "help" page they provide to cancel is a lie... the page has a video showing a manage button, however, this button doesn't seem to exist in real life (i have screenshots etc).
their chat bot was pretty useless, as it said the same thing, but then said something similar to "email them directly". Googling the cancelation process, it appears many have struggled to cancel A FREE TRIAL, and still get charged later for their "trial".

while its nice to have the "owner" reply to some of these saying...
1:"there is a button to cancel."... if its there, at best its well hidden and not in line with the documentation on their site and at worst, its just not there (aligned to the many comments already stated, including my experience)
2: "you are charged cos you used over the allowed ai credits" (which seems to be other feedback), then maybe block user and say "you are out of credit, would you want to buy some credits?" rather then just chew and bill... they say in their terms of services "We are responsible for communicating those fees to you clearly and accurately, and letting you know well in advance if those prices change", but clearly they havent done well on this front....
3: TOS - "We will immediately bill you when you upgrade from the free plan to any paying plan." - i havent tried this but im assuming if you switch the plan even though you are 14 days free trial, you start paying straight away... if so, choose your trial plan carefully

The whole thing just seems to be a bit misleading, it wasnt a good experiene, i didnt get what i wanted as a design out of it (the output was really rough, bad routing etc, the schematic were not clear etc felt like a 10 year old kid scribbled to make it)

ive had to resort to cancelling credit card so i can feel confident i wont have other issues / charges later for my trial.

Sign up at own risk, be prepared to change credit cards (or use a disposable one)

Scam and fraud

I wanted to try their free trial.
But just after registration, they charged me on $142.
Customer support said that they don't see any transactions in my account, and what that can be "may be a pre-authorization."

The "charge" you're referring to, is not actually a charge on your account, it's a pre-authorization. If your trial is cancelled and doesn't renew, then the pre-auth is released. If your trial converts into a subscription, then your first month fee of $142 (pro plan) is finalized then, and the pre-auth is charged at that point.

Scam

Scam. Don't put in your card details. I can't cancel, contact customer service and all they say is can't find account. Im resorting to cancelling my bank account just for this stupid app.

I emptied my bank account and I get email saying there was insufficient funds. Then they start charging again, I use same email to contact support, give them transaction ID with Flux.AI showing on statement and they just close ticket after saying I'll have to cancel bank account then.

Absolutely superb waste of time.

It's a scam

It's a well made scam. I signed for a trial and there is no way to cancel your subscription in the user interface. Nowhere. The good thing is that i used a Revolut to register and now I can just deny payment when they try to charge me!
I wish I could attach a picture with my communication to an AI bot, that answered my questions with the very same email no matter what I ask.

They refused to refund my money

They refused to refund my money, but after pressure from Stripe and Link Wallet, I will finally receive my money after 10 days. Thank you, Link, thank you, Stripe. Note: The FLUX team told me that a refund was not possible at first. #3173-6160 #3826-1315
You say in the comment below that I meant another company. This is a cover-up. I meant you. Today I received the amount you deducted, even though they refused to refund it after pressure from Stripe. It's good that I used Link's wallet as an intermediary between us. I'm very restricted; I was about to be scammed out of $65.

These aren't ticket numbers for any tickets we have (we use a different number structure for ours), and our company's name is not "Glocks". I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with that other company though, and I hope they fix it soon!
