Match Engine: Most negative element of game by far. Boring to watch, doesn't make sense most times, no visuals, bugs in some metrics. Gk can score goals, ball teleports from one penalty box to another in a single second. As soon as you start to play with teams close to your rating you will hate match engine like everybody else.

Development: They don't improve match engine but implement one really good feature outside of M.E. once in 2-3 months. Overall the game is improving but at a really slow speed.

Team: Friendly and trying to help but hard to reach outside UK office hours. Slow to react with complicated problems. Like someone rigged auctions before for couple seasons and they couldn't do anything in that time period.

Starting Budget: This part is really misleading. Players come with starter packs are worthless above Division 7 and Division 6 is the minimum division you need to play for winning something not tiny. So don't expect to scale with 50-100$ budget. From my personal experience over a year, if you are not willing to spend something like 500$ it will take forever to start climbing even in mid tiers. For high tiers make it double or triple. I would recommend starting free with as caretaker and doing your own math for at least being competitive at division 6.

Play to earn mechanics: If you can afford above budgets and play smart, yes you can profit.

I would give it 2 star but they asked positive reviews in discord which created a false overall rating from my perspective. Also some shady giveaways make me lose trust with team so i am rating as 1 star.

I am in my 23rd season of playing Footium and I love it. I have always enjoyed football management games and when I found this one that allows me to play against other people's teams rather than a computer, plus buy and sell players with real money, and win real prize money, I was sold. As there are 8 Divisional levels it means the game can be played at whatever level of investment (time and money) you choose. I started modestly and grew my teams to a higher level sustainably without additional investment, and can now proudly brag about my profits as well as my teams' successes :) The game is continuing to grow and the team keeps the managers closely involved in its development, which only increases my attachment to this great game. Forza Footium!

It's a game with prizes to be won free to play for anyone - if you encounter any issue along the way, there are people ready to reply and work on those issues straight away - in my case, I started with nothing while playing this game and gradually, I'm building a team that is ready to compete in higher division as we gradually get promoted (all due to the fact I won both monetary and player reward for winning the caretaker and SDF league).

feels as real thing, as games are scheduled, and you can't just play other season if things don't go your way

It's a great game that doesn't take up too much time, but allows you do develop your own football club over time. Features are constantly growing and the team is pretty good at communicating their priorities from season to season. While the speed is much slower than on a typical smartphone app, it's a much longer-term effort when you're planning your strategy for the next seasons (e.g. developing young players vs. signing established players later in their careers).

I created an account after hearing about Footium through TomFM. I was genuinely interested in the project, but after looking into it, I realised it wasn't for me.

I wanted to delete my account, but there doesn't seem to be any option to do so or to request account deletion. I tried using the assistant for help, but it was no use. I even tried using ChatGPT to find a way to delete my account, but it couldn't help me either.

I then tried visiting "help.footium.club", but the website appears to be unavailable (DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE). I eventually found "footium.crisp.help" and searched for "delete", but no relevant results came up.

At that point, my only option was to dig deeper. I joined the Footium.club Discord server and created a support ticket to request the deletion of my account.

Let's see if this is really the only way to delete an account.

So far, my experience with this site/company has been poor. The process of simply deleting an account shouldn't be this difficult.

Would not recommend it.

First of all, I changed my rating from 1 to 3 because the support I received was impeccable: quick and honest. Above all, good customer support is always a great way to maintain an excellent relationship with customers.

That said, I believe my review is fair and accurately reflects my experience. I never complained about the response time. My complaint was about how difficult it was to find a way to manage my account and, ultimately, request its deletion.

As you have acknowledged in your response, there was no clear information explaining how to delete an account. I had to look for a solution myself, eventually finding the Discord server and opening a support ticket. From my perspective, it is reasonable to question why deleting an account requires joining a Discord server when there was no clear information directing me there.

I appreciate that the support team handled my request quickly once I reached the right place, and I have already received confirmation that my account has been deleted. However, the fact that the request was resolved quickly does not change the difficulty I experienced in figuring out how to make the request in the first place.

I am not criticising the game itself or the support team. My criticism is specifically about the account deletion process and the lack of clear information available at the time.

I therefore stand by my review. It was based on my genuine experience and was not made in bad faith.

If you’d asked me 3 months ago, I’d have given it a 2 star, but the team have made massive strides forwards and the game is better than ever! Would now recommend to friends as the game continues to grow and get better and more sophisticated.

Been playing since S15 maybe or just after and i thoroughly enjoy the game and the community within discord as they both go hand in hand.

I would highly advise that you run as a caretaker team for a season to get a feel for the game, I did this then purchased a team which became 2,3,4 and now I am upto 5 teams, thats how addictive it can become.

There is a good friendly community that are active daily within discord and it is well run and everyone is very helpful.

Havent signed up yet what are you waiting for, this is FM on steriods.

Unbelievable game, love owning my club, especially as there are loads of active players, lots of whom are very passionate, creating X accounts specifically and posting content around the game.
I also think it's educational, not necessarily from the sense of it teaches you 1+1=3, but real life business skills with the transfer market.
It's also super detail oriented with the new academy system, player ratings, including stamina, leadership and the condition of your players. This gives the game several strategic aspects that really makes the best managers thrive, and for good reason, it's not overly easy to make it to the top league.

Been a Footium club owner since season 1 acquring a few more clubs along the way, big advocate for Footium and the team behind it, driving the developments to new heights each season, highly recommend this!

This game gives you the long term view of players and club that I’ve been wanting. Plus a bit of treachery of having my own money invested I feel like a real club owner. Super addicted and so keen to keep my boys climbing the ranks!

Just like football manager but with cash pay offs! Can be a little difficult getting used to the ETH wallet but once you have it set up and know how to move the ETH in and out, football managers dream!

Footium combines football management, strategy and Web3 in a really unique way. The community is great, the game keeps evolving, and there’s always something new to get involved in. Definitely one of the most interesting football games out there!
