Having worked for Soto Jonas of Freon Doctor i can say it's good to hear he is no longer taking advantage of customers. His whole operation was crooked. He operated out of an abandoned sheet metal shop out in the woods , at Jett's sheet metal shop 211 Newton Rd Fredericksburg Va., yet his website says Lewiston Rd . That is the address of his ex wife , it is a family residence, not a business location. His parts inventory, consisted of old trashed units there that he would pull parts off of and sell for new. Even after his employees warned him of getting caught, he would sell thermostats for many hundreds of dollars that costed $30. There is no real telling where he is right now. And being he had many serious lawsuits against him, he may have just dropped out of sight. It was so disgusting, going to a customers home and hearing him talk about coming from greece to the united states and all his hurdles and his love for the lord and how much he loves his dear wife, who hasn't had a thing to do with him for a decade. I hope he shows back up so he can account for all the money stole.

This company seeems to be a rip off company. Sign 3 year contract last year and now cannot get a hold of them. No answering of the phone or line busy. Do not do business with these guys...

Freon Doctor ripped my parents off by probably $20,000 they kept putting their trust in this horrible individual. Soto had excuse after excuse for everything. He deserves every bad thing that is coming his way.

They serviced our gas fireplace last year and we signed and paid for a three year maintenance agreement. They are no longer answering their phones and appear to be out of business. I have filed a complaint with BB and will proceed to take them to small claims court. Do not use this business if they have robbed you please report it.

Agree with previous poster. Also signed a yearly contract. None of the phone numbers work. Can’t schedule return service.

Don’t waste your money. Look elsewhere.

Owner is also not afraid to share his political views with his customers. Unprofessional to say the least.

The Freon Doctor may not be in business any longer. I signed a contract with them in June 28 for a new HVAC and paid a deposit of $2750. To this day (August 2024), the company has not installed the system or communicated with me. None of their listed phones are working and they did not return emails. I had to put in a court petition to recover my deposit. I do not recommend this business to anyone. Avoid them as they may take your money without completing the job.

Outstanding annual furnace and fireplace maintenance Nov 13, 2023. Just extraordinary and skillfully thorough. In over an hour the absolutely most professional service, the proficient technicians checked, cleaned, verified correct operation, and fully vacuumed all systems. Suitable, proper price. Timely response and arrived on schedule. Great, fantastic job. Well done. Please also note that Freon Doctor is an extraordinary supporter of Veterans and all military. The owner, Soto, is a dedicated, superb patriot himself who loves America with honor and with all his heart.

The Freon Doctor is nothing but professional. We had new gas log installation today and without a doubt the best service we have had with any HVAC/GAS log company. From start to finish The Freon Doctor kept us in the loop with parts and timing. Soto and his team are hands down the best company to use for HVAC or Gas log service.

I have used Freon Doctor to service my fireplace for 6 years. My heat pump required replacement. Soto was my second opinion from my cooling and heating company. He saved me $3,500 on the replacement compared to original estimate.I I have recommended Freon Doctor to many of my neighbors. Great experience.

Sotto did such a great job and was quick and efficient. Also, my AC UNIT is back to working efficiently. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have their AC Unit repairs or replacement go to the Freon Doctor. They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the project quickly and as scheduled. Their employees are always on time, professional and work hard to get the job done in a timely manner. I highly recommend the Freon Doctor for AC repairs and replacements needs to everyone. The company has Top notch Professionals that keep everything on track and was great to work with. Installation went well, the crew was attentive and courteous, to my daughter and me. I Appreciate the job that was done at my house. The company is completely dependable, and I would not hesitate to recommend Freon Doctor to everyone. Sotto showed a lot of responsiveness in the r process, and the results. Also, the company go above and beyond by exceeding the customers goals. Great Company!!!

Alan K - I called Freon Doctor about my out side unit was not working today. They had a tech come out the same day I called. He look the unit over. He said it was my Thermostat. The tech put a new one on all is working. I will use them again. 1/12/2023

Watch out for this company. I had come out to service my fireplace and was advised by Mr Soto that all my controls etc needed replaced at a cost of 3000.00. Told him I wanted to get a second opinion which I did.
The other company came out and advised me I did not reset one of the controls and other than that, everything else worked properly. Charged a 189.00 service fee and the unit works as it is supposed to.
Mr Soto is not a very honest person

Freon Doctor folks just left and I have to say that they did an amazing job with our gas fireplace service. They were prompt, professional and not only did a very impressive job, Mr. Soto was a really nice, warm person and I would not hesitate to hire them for any job I had.

Soto and his team replaced the parts, rebuilt, and cleaned my family's fireplace at a GREAT price. They were professional, responsive, and addressed all questions to our satisfaction.

The fireplace was a great addition for my birthday with my husband.. After a great evening out, we had wine in front of the fireplace for a happy ending...

We look forward to doing more business with the Freon Doctor in the future.

I had really great service from Mr Soto and his team from Freon Dr this morning. They were very responsive with the appointment scheduling and arrived promptly

I found the promo on the Nextdoor App and I took a chance. Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise.

The person who answered the phone (Allen) was friendly and helpful. He quickly found a convenient appointment from me and we agreed on a time.

Mr Soto and his duo of brothers arrived with their masks on, removed their shoes and treated my property with respect.

They took the unit apart and cleaned it thoroughly. Great service overall. I was so impressed with their efficiency that I immediately referred them to another homeowner.

Waited for weeks for them to come out to do the 99 dollar special. They called the Friday before a scheduled Monday appointment and wanted to push me back two more weeks because they had a big install job come up! My time is not important!! My question is, why would you take another job that day if you had me scheduled and I’m sure others to do an install. Wait, I know….more money!!! Not very customer service oriented! I will never use them and I will not ever recommend.

Mr. Jonas Soto - is simply awesome, He consistently places customer service and quality performance above all. In all my lifetime, i have rarely had the pleasure and privilege of interacting with a business owner or company representative who provide such a detailed overview of everything that is going on. He places his professional reputation in all of his work and that of his staff. If you need any type of heating, cooling, gas log installation, routine maintenance, repair etc, he will be your first and only call. I highly recommend him and his company. Freon Doctor truly rocks.

This company is truly the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to use. Their professionalism and responsiveness are truly exemplary. They take a personal approach to meet and exceed your service expectations. You won’t be disappointed with Freon Doctor as they truly are THE BEST.

I have had the Freon Doctor come to my home for three years now. The service is always timely professional and neat. They observed the virus protocols and have always removed their shoes when entering my home or used the shoe booties. Not a big deal for some but I appreciate the effort. Pricing is fair and workmanship is above bar. Wouldn’t and haven’t felt the need to call anyone else. My extended family now uses them as well. The owner Mr. Soto has even come out to verify my happiness with the installs we have had done.
