Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Freshly Services from start to finish.

At first, the phone booking process seemed straightforward and professional, however in hindsight much of the information provided during quoting turned out to be inaccurate or misleading once the contractor arrived.

I booked both carpet cleaning and furniture cleaning, however the final price was significantly higher than originally quoted, with GST and additional charges only added on the day. I was charged full room prices despite only partial areas being cleaned, and the stain treatment advertised as part of their process was simply not done.

The technician was unprofessional, arrived in a personal vehicle rather than a professional service van, and the overall standard of service did not match what was advertised on their website.

After raising my concerns, the company offered a “do-over” instead of a refund, which I accepted on one very clear condition — that the same technician was NOT to return.

On the day of the rebooking, the technician failed to arrive within the agreed time window. After I chased it up myself, I was told they would be another 40 minutes late, only for me to then discover they had sent the exact same contractor again, completely ignoring the one condition I had made absolutely clear.

At that point I refused a second attempt and requested a refund, only to be told they would not refund me because they had already paid their contractor — something that should never become the customer’s problem.

What frustrates me most is that I gave this company multiple opportunities to resolve the issue privately and fairly, yet was met with poor communication, repeated disregard for my concerns, wasted time, no accountability and ultimately no resolution.

I cannot recommend this company at all. If you value honest pricing, professional service, quality workmanship and a business that stands behind its service when things go wrong, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Turned up fast. Friendly and polite service. Did an awesome job!! Removed really shitty stains. Good job Henil!!!! Would get them back again.

SCAM, they sent out Sherwood Pest Control - a scam company, there address is in a different suburb! Guy said 280,came down from ceiling and said 1480 - he said i must have misheard due to his strong accent - I did not. He had photos of the issues. Said he would not leave without payment. I told him to get out. Had a different guy through the next day. The photos from the scammer of my ceiling were not even my house! Yes, he left a possum trap with my apple too, but would not have worked as the possum had a way out - so would not go into the trap. The second guy said these companies are scammers and they get these calls all the time to resolve the issues.

Freshly Services carpet cleaning were completely unprofessional and ruined brand new carpet. They quoted a price to steam clean a smallish white stain on the carpet. Their sub-contractor turned it into a large brown stain because his equipment was rusty.

Then they gave me the run around for over a month about redressing the problem. The sub-contractor never responded to my calls. Head office sent several emails over the month saying they were going to send someone out to fix it and they never did. They lied about the fact they were going to fix it or give a refund. They never did either.

They ruined brand new carpet and did nothing to fix it. Do not use them. The company is a scam. They just take your money and don't do the job properly.

Do not go with these guys. We had a terrible experience of guy doubling the original quote using pressure tactics.

Even after a few days, our carpet and couch are still very damp. They did not remove the water after steam clean. Had to go around and soak up water with towels. Requested for them to come back but didn’t even get a response. Very disappointed and also concerned about long term damage.

This company is a scam they don't have proper license to remove/relocate possum. They will ask you to transfer payment through payID straight away and then start the work. I called many days and many time they don't come back to put a cage. Do not use them !

Wish I’d read reviews before paying them $330 to put a $50 possum cage on the roof! I called with scratching noises in walls and ceiling, we had rats, not possum, he came back unannounced on a Friday night to collect his empty possum cage but we were not home, I called them saying problem not solved they said our technician was on annual leave and will call us back but never did. I’ve since paid a 2nd company $500 to remove the dead rats after I spent $200 on bait and traps “and killed them myself. Do not use this company! I have complained to fair trading for a refund.

Do not use this company. Absolute scam. Tried to charge me $1000 to remove a rat I’d already located and they ended up reducing their pricing dramatically to try get my business, proving that this was scam pricing in the first place and just trying to take advantage. They also did not have the right equipment. Completely unprofessional. Couldn’t reach it and made a joke about not getting their money on the way out

Paid $800 for a “deep clean and deodorising” service and the rental smells worse now than before they came. Completely ripped off.

The guy showed up with what looked like a cheap Bunnings-style carpet cleaner and the results were terrible. Absolutely do not use these guys if you expect professional equipment or actual results. Total waste of money.

I recently used Freshly Services Brisbane-based possum removal service and honestly could not have been happier with the experience. The cost was a little more than I had originally anticipated but after dealing with another possum company beforehand that I quickly dismissed because I was not comfortable with them, I am very glad I chose these guys instead.
Two Indian gentlemen arrived (Sammy and coworker) exactly when they said they would and immediately got to work. They set a trap, cleaned up all the possum droppings in the ceiling and sprayed a repellent to help stop the possums from returning. They were polite, professional and explained everything clearly.
I will admit, after they left, I jumped online to read reviews and was horrified to see so many negative comments calling the company scammers. I instantly worried I had made a terrible mistake and assumed I would never hear from them again. Much to my surprise, Sammy returned the very next day to check the roof. The possum had not been caught yet but a few days later it was successfully caught it and followed through exactly as promised and released the possum just down the road.
I am still genuinely shocked at how good the service was considering all the bad reviews I had read. Perhaps the bad experiences were with branches down south because my experience here in Brisbane could not have been better. They were upfront about all fees from the beginning, so there were no hidden surprises and they were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process.
I would absolutely use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone needing possum removal done professionally and reliably.

We recently had our couch professionally cleaned and unfortunately were quite disappointed with the overall service, particularly considering the price charged.

We booked the “deep clean” package for our 5-seater couch at $420 (although the invoice states $400). Prior to booking, we were quoted approximately $190–$220 over the phone, so the final price was already much higher than expected.

What was most disappointing was that the morning after the clean, my husband was able to remove marks and additional dirt himself that the technician had advised could not be cleaned. These were not permanent stains such as paint, so it was concerning that they remained after what was meant to be a deep clean service.

The area was also not left clean afterwards, with water left on the floor that I had to clean up myself once the technician had left. In previous experiences with couch cleaning companies, the area has always been left clean and tidy.

I emailed the company with photos showing the additional dirt removed after the service and was advised they would speak with the cleaner. Unfortunately, I have not received any further response.

Overall, we do not feel the service reflected the level or standard expected for the amount paid, which was very disappointing.

SCAM. This is by far the worst business I’ve dealt with in Sydney.

I was charged $1,100 upfront for possum removal, and the issue was never resolved. The trap provided was ineffective, no alternative solutions were offered, and I ultimately had to deal with the problem myself.

While the contractor arrived on time, he appeared completely unprepared and unqualified — no ladder, no bait for the trap, and using his phone as a torch. In hindsight, I should have asked him to leave immediately.

I attempted to request a refund given the service was not delivered, but this was unsuccessful.

They do not have a physical address or person to talk to about the problem, you are required to email them and there was no response.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Possum issue in the attic was getting annoying. Service was alright, had to follow up once, but after that they came back and fixed it properly. No activity since then.

Had them over for a general spray around the house. Booking was simple and the technician was polite. Took a few days to notice the difference, but it worked in the end.

Had possums in the roof for weeks, especially noisy at night. Booked them after trying a few things myself. They came out, checked properly and set it up. Took a few days but the noise is gone now. Big relief.

Charged $1400 for a couple of possum traps. Though it was not a possum issue it was a rat. Still in the cavity. They said they put poison out but who knows?
