I had pain across the top of both feet and also in both knees. In the morning it was particularly bad and I had to force myself not to walk downstairs sideways … This had been going on for a few months, I suppose gradually getting worse. I was not willing to accept that this was due to getting older (I am 59), and so turned to the internet to try and find an explanation and cure. This was when I found the Functional Socks ad; having read the reviews I decided to give them a go. I decided there was nothing to lose with the returns policy offered, and also they were inexpensive.
I am delighted to review that after approximately one week the pain in my knees and feet had all but disappeared - a huge relief. The pain was actually getting me down, but I now feel so much better all round. Based on my experience I fully recommend to give them a go!!

Don't waste your money. These are not proper compression stockings. Also, they're made in China, despite the website presenting itself as a UK based website. You'll also need to return your product to China in case you want a refund, which is not disclosed on their website.

Not Happy at all. They didNOT send me the stuff that they were advertising. I was sent stuff that was advertised on amazon and Ebay at a lower price . I sent the spray back to amazon and Ebay as it did Not work. I have tried to contact functional aid but No response.

I have found these socks quite comfortable to wear.
But I would say they have hardly any compression.
I bought a large size as I have a size 9 foot, they say they should be quite tight to put on, to be honest they are quite loose and slightly baggy.

The cost of returning the socks bc they are scam and absolutely not effective, here is the email.

Very pleased with socks.
As I use them at work and often board large vehicles to drive.
The extra support and comfort the socks give is exceptional.
Now with the weather turning very cold I gain extra warmth by adding an extra layer of insulation with my normal socks.

The socks are good and alleviate foot pain and swelling and leave the toes free from restriction. I wish there was a choice of a longer pair too.

Excellent product and service

So far I have been pleased with them. They are very comfortable to wear. The dreadful shooting pains from my toes has gone but the numbness in my toes is still there. The socks I received were a different design to the website, which should be corrected.

It remains to be seen but after a month there is certainly some improvement. Customer service was good but I was not prepared to pay to return extra pairs order in error to China

Been amazing! Before I was suffering plantar in both feet. Plus a serious ankle injury, leaving my sole numb. So hard the fix! The gp said it could take a year, soft tissue damage. Bit my feet are much better, did a 16000 step walk could not have done that before. The only issue is I sleep in them wear them all day, only bought one pair!!! Need to buy some more very soon!!😂😂

I bought two pairs of these and tried them on but they were too big and clearly cannot help when they should be tight. I contacted the company but not received a reply. Complete waste of £30. Clearly the promise of your money back is just a lie.

Very disappointed! Socks don’t fit my foot I brought small/ medium at the time my foot is slim and a size 6 . Sock is short and rides up from my toes which is where my pain is. They do not stay in place and ride up my foot at night. Will not buy from this company again. Should have known better than to buy anything advertised on Facebook!

Is this company a scam? They have taken payment for tinnitus spray no confirmation of order I have filled in 2 contact forms with no reply and there are no contact telephone numbers. It looks as if I have lost my money do not buy from this company

I'm going to be honest here, when the socks arrived, I was sceptical. It really didn't seem likely that they could do all they promised.
But, suffering from PF, gave them a go...and they have definitely improved the condition, almost completely. Give them a go, it's not immediate, but certainly noticed a big difference after a fortnight.

Still waiting for the socks ..nearly 2 weeks ago …no communication from Functional Aid other than email explaining how to use the socks that I don’t have!!!!
Could have bought a similar product off Amazon and got them next day

Purchased for my husband following an advert on instagram; as expected he was dubious of them initially. ... He has eaten his words and now his golf mates also own pairs due to incredible difference made.

I have slim size 5 feet. The smallest socks are too big around the ball of the foot, the heel and up the leg. There is no support at all and definitely no release from neuropathy. The concept is sales worthy, the reality is the socks are impractical and not fit for purpose for me. I am diabetic with foot pain issues. Not worth the money nor the subsequent hassle involved.

So, when I ordered the socks, I thought I was buying from a U.K. company - apparently not!
Then, would they work? After all, they are expensive- £19 for a pair so they needed to. All the garb in their website suggested these were the silver bullet and that it was a no risk purchase as, if you weren’t 💯 satisfied, they’d refund you, no problem, even up to 90 days!
So, encouraged by that and desperate for a product that would help, I went for an offer that got me 3 pairs for £40.

Well, for me, they didn’t make any difference to my plantar fasciitis and I enquired about returning them - this is where it becomes tricky.
They offer a 25% refund, and you keep the socks (that don’t work) or you fund the cost of posting them back to….wait for it….China, at a cost of around £20 because they want a tracking number - basically, they don’t want the socks back and they want to keep as much of your money as possible.
Then I read another review that said his return got stuck in Chinese customs and over 5 weeks later still no refund, so I gave up and reluctantly accepted the partial refund- so still down about £30 on something I didn’t want.
I figured that, if I spend another £20 posting them back and end up like the guy who wrote the review about customs then I’d be down £60 on a useless product- so I took the 25% refund and kept the socks - the 2 pairs I didn’t use are still in the wrapper.

So, my advice is don’t order the functional aid socks because they don’t work and returning them is expensive and doesn’t get you anywhere - all that will happen is that you’re out more money on postage.
There are socks that look similar on Amazon and which will be equally ineffective but at a fraction of the price and, with Amazon, you can be confident that you will get your money back with no hassle and no cost to you.
Or just do the exercises recommended by a doctor which are designed to relieve plantar fasciitis and get yourself a proper pair of walking shoes such as Skechers ArchFit (which are brilliant btw and well worth the money).
And, if you really want compression socks , buy them from boots chemist……because these Functional Aid Compression Socks aren’t compression socks at all, they are just socks with no toes
So, when you’re watching the video of the nurse and her son who allegedly developed this product, just remember that you’re actually ordering from a warehouse somewhere in China
