Absolutely wonderful experiance today. I went in wanting some advice and to look at options to open an ISA Helen and Anna were very knowledgeable, funny and kind to a fool knows nothing about savings accounts and directed me to the right account for me, they took my details helped me fill out the form. They even made me a brew which i was very thankful for.
Really lovely environment, all the staff were really polite and friendly.
Apparently I need to get with the times and get the app so I may have to pop back in and terrorise them some Korean with my technological illiteracy.

Excellent personal service
I have used Furness for 3 mortgages across 3 properties over the past 10 years, and they have always been excellent. You can just pick up the phone or drop an email, and you are straight through to your mortgage advisor or anyone else who you need helps with. You will not get this with a big high street bank. Very personal service and very helpful navigating the challenges and complexity of mortgage applications, etc. My mortgage advisor, Fern, has been excellent and really helpful, patient and insightful in the process from start to finish. The rates are competitive also

Best Mortgage Experience
We have recently been looking at getting a 2nd mortgage and reached out to Furness to look at our options. From the very first conversations with Mandy, Sammy and Tiana right through to our conversations and meetings with Scott we felt like our best interests were the focus. We have been treated as people rather than just numbers and money. Scott especially took a genuine interest in what we wanted to achieve and he did the leg work to make it happen.
Compared to previous mortgage experience, this was completely different and one that made it feel a lot less complicated.
The fact we could go into branch and have a face to face meeting was also fantastic. Being greeted by Maria and welcomed into branch did not go unnoticed.
All in all I can't recommend Furness enough and will no doubt be reaching out again!

Amazing service
Amazing service, I have just remortgaged with them, staff were excellent at returning phone calls and emails. Scott was my advisor, he was professional and explained all my options and helped me to make a decision that met my needs. The whole process was quick efficient. I would definitely recommend.

Furness Building Society, Outstanding Customer Care
We have been customers of the Furness Building Society for several years. We are currently coming to the end of one product and wanted help identifying the next product we should switch to. The whole process has been a joy, when you call the Furness you speak to a human straight away. Today I spoke with a customer services agent Tiana Leigh who was brilliant. patient, professional , helpful, I asked so many questions and nothing was too much trouble. I would never leave the Furness and would highly recommend that anyone seeking a mortgage get in touch with them, their product range is brilliant, but just as important, they really do care about their customers

Great experience
I had a really positive experience at the building society. The service from Gina (Millom branch) was excellent from start to finish, she was friendly, professional, and very helpful. She took her time to listen to what I needed, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process simple and stress-free.
It was refreshing to receive such genuinely good customer service. I would definitely recommend this bank to others based on the excellent service I received.

Reviewing our account with Billy at the…Kendal branch of Furness building society
Reviewing our account with Billy at the Kendal was both clearly explained and very understandable and informative. My husband and I are both in our 80s and not very with new technology and new rules and regulations regarding ISAs and fixed deposits. All this information was talked through with Billy ,who explained it all in terms we understood (and learned a lot from him). We would recommend anybody to take the time to sit down with Furness building society team and go through your finances with them, it's not a waste of time but a time spent looking after your well earned money.

Millom branch
I had a very positive experience of the member review in the Millom branch. My accounts were reviewed and in accordance with my saving aims alternatives with a better interest rate were offered I was then able to open a new saver and bond account.Everything was explained fully and clearly.
All the staff in the branch are always very friendly and knowledgeable about any queries.

Excellent service from Scott
We are currently in the progress of moving house and had the pleasure of having Scott Thompson support us. Scott was extremely helpful and was able to clearly explain the process and give guidance on the available options. After calls he followed up with email summaries, which we really appreciated as we referred back to the these when negotiating prices to sell our home and what to offer for our new home.
When our offers had been accepted, I did slightly mess up and start paying deposits before officially applying for our mortgage (don’t recommend this if anyone else is reading🙈). However, once Scott realised, he was quick to jump in and support us by sorting our application within a few days and our approval came back within 10 days.
We are very grateful for Scott for supporting us through something which can easily feel overwhelming and a minefield. Thank you Scott, you put us at ease, made us laugh and made the process really smooth for us. You are a credit to Furness.
