Very Sorry. This app is 20 years out of date. It’s advertised as an AI-based Irish learning tool, but there’s nothing AI-driven about it. I was hoping for a fluid, natural conversational experience, but the app doesn’t do any of that. It feels like one of those old government-made language programs you’d use in school decades ago—clunky, slow, and frustrating. you’d be far better off using ChatGPT Premium and Duolingo. Would not recommend this at all.

I signed up for the trial of this service but was disappointed with the product and decided to cancel. To my surprise, there was no cancel button anywhere on the website.

After some investigation, I discovered the cancel function is buried in the code and not exposed to users at all. This is a clear example of a dark pattern — deliberately making it difficult for users to opt out. I had to manually call their API using developer tools to cancel my subscription.

Fortunately, I was able to confirm the cancellation, but if I do get charged, I’ll be taking the matter further with the relevant consumer protection authorities.

Be very cautious before signing up.

I signed up for a free trial and downloaded the app. I immediately realised this was not what I wanted. I I searched everywhere for the ability to stop the subscription going through. They do not give you access to stop your subscriptiongoing through at the end of the trial. So basically, if you sign up for a free trial, you have no way of stopping them taking out money from your credit card at the end of the trial. Because they take zero money from your credit card, they do not register themselves as an ongoing subscription, so therefore mechanic aware and prevent for deductions. I have requested for a refund. I should update you on my progress.

Whatever data this AI has been fed is not good.

Basic grammar is a bloody mess. Just as bad as Irish ChatGPT...

This is useless for learning Irish, and will only lead people who don't know Irish astray.

To be honest, if you see 'Irish' and 'AI' anything, avoid it.

I signed up for the free trial and did not like the app. Sent two emails requesting to end my trial and not renew. I got no response. They charged my credit card and now I have to go through the dispute process. Awful experience with the app and the company. After posting this review I got nice response and apology from Gaeilgeoir AI. I'm getting my refund without having to deal with the dispute process which is great. I didn't find the app useful for my purposes but it did have some useful tools.

Free Trial requires payment up front but nothing is supported by the subscription when you get into the platform. Tried to contact the company and got the mailer daemon. No email validating received to suggest this is a real company. Is this because of geo-political area? Have to wait for pending charge to go through before I can refute the charge. Frustrating.

This is not a legit service. After you add your card, it’s just a blank chat window that does nothing. All you can do is edit and delete your account
