Got home after work very hungry, just to slice the bread and find mould and a sour smell. I just bought the bread from Gail at London Bridge station.
I have written a message via their website form and noone replied for more than a week. I paid £5.40 just to stay hungry.

Very weak coffee that's not hot enough.
Good pastries though and great service.

The baked goods were very good. But tge whole experience was let down by a cold and tasteless coffee

The pastries and cakes are exceptional. They are consistently fresh and gorgeous whichever Gail's I've eaten in. The croissants and cinnamon buns and the babka are magnificent. If you are surprised to see very low scoring from some reviewers, bear in mind, there has been a vendetta against Gail's by those with political motives to boycott it. the negative reviews are hate reviews and do not reflect the gorgeousness of the produce.

Why does the MILL HILL branch NEVER have sufficient supply of Almond Croissant's. Just visited again at 10:00am and they are sold out. It's mid morning only and unless I get there at 8:00am I am never getting one from this store. Raise your inventory Gails, obviously they sell well and there is demand. Instead I have left empty handed having not spent any money instore and rather disappointed.

I went to Battersea square today. For the third time I got home to discover they had missed out an item on my order. Too far to return to sort out. Not sure what is going on, today they had missed out a baguette loaf.

Visited Gail’s for the first time today at Buckingham Palace Road, London. Lovely pastries, a little pricy but to be expected. Venue was nice, clean and tidy. My only disappointment with the single toilet which to be fair was a little grotty. It was also out of soap so mentioned this to a
member of staff who said they would sort. Half an hour later still out of soap -
not great when I assume staff also using said toilet facilities. Hoping Gail’s will see this and address as otherwise a nice experience.

Streatham Hill. Stony faced and brusque service, a ‘Breakfast Slider’ that had definitely slid. With coffee that came to £14!

Great coffee and wonderful service at Gails Beckenham. Yash is an amazing manager - creating a lovely atmosphere for staff and customers.

trying to buy a specific bread seems they do max one loaf a day third time(second in a row) I cannot get it especially going there early to get it. Very annoying and selection in the morning seems to shrink, had it now several times that I could not get other items besides the bread I wanted either. It is very annoying

Visited Gail’s Bakery in Cheltenham for the first and last time. All the unoccupied downstairs tables were dirty with used trays and cups on them. Tried to go upstairs but were told it was closed after we reached the top of the stairs. The sign at the bottom just said ‘caution cleaning’, not ‘area closed’ or similar. The coffee was the worst I’ve had in a chain coffee shop.

popped into gails whiteladies road on Friday night,fairly quiet usual catchment of uni keyboard warriors with their water bottles,I have to say a lovely assistant we had not met before was so so welcoming to us,took our order ,and then our payment but made such nice conversation with us about how was our day etc,totally not small talk just very genuine,an asset to this store so a BIG shout out to ANNA !!!!

Visited Gail’s in Marlborough, nice coffee but no gluten free sandwiches or cakes only gluten free sourdough loaf.. As the bakery is a nationwide chain I would have expected some gluten free offerings. Disappointed.

I’m always super happy with GAIL’s in general, but my local one is Clifton Road, and I genuinely think they have the most amazing people working there.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. During the summer heatwave, I spent many afternoons working from there, and beyond the great coffee, food and very welcome air conditioning, what really stood out was the warmth and kindness of the team. You notice how they treat people, and there is something genuinely human about this place.

Recently, my 10-year-old daughter went there after school with her friends. She has only just started walking home independently, so this little trip to GAIL’s was a very exciting adventure for her. Unfortunately, she only had cash and couldn’t pay for her biscuit. The lovely lady behind the counter simply offered to pay for her and then refused to take my daughter’s cash.

She came home absolutely amazed and insisted that I go back the next day to repay the £4.30. I did — and they still wouldn’t take it.

It’s obviously not about £4.30. It’s about making sure a 10-year-old wasn’t the only child among her friends who couldn’t have her biscuit, and making her feel looked after during one of her first independent outings.

Such a small gesture, but such a big impression. Clifton Road really does have the loveliest team. ❤️

Appalling customer service. I found the staff dismissive and unprofessional, and when I raised my concern, the response was not to address it but to dismiss it. Even more concerning, two members of staff presented themselves as managers but refused to provide their names when I explained that I wanted to make a formal complaint.

Whatever the internal management arrangements may be, a customer should be able to raise a legitimate complaint and have it handled professionally. I left without making my purchase and would not return to this branch.

There are reputable alternatives nearby, including Pret A Manger and PAUL, so I would recommend considering those instead.

I went today to Gail's to get a coffee and a birthday treat and I was served by two young ladies [ Rita and Joanu] they were very polite and friendly, I will definitely go back there again 😊

Went to buy a Gail's sourdough loaf in Wimbledon on Saturday. Not only were the loaves all now smaller than when I last bought a loaf there a couple of months ago they are now over £5 each. So ripping us off with smaller loaves and charging us more at the same time. What a greedy petty money pinching company! I won’t be buying their bread or anything else from them again. Their sourdough bread is only average anyway.

No China cups available only take away even at opening time. No avocados so no breakfast offer

The food was bordering on ok but I won’t be going again to the branch in Stratford upon Avon. . My assistance dog was near me and had to be closer to fulfil a task for me. I dont know who it was, one can only assume it was the manager and told me to move my dog. I refused as he was helping me but the attitude was either one of utter rudeness or ignorance.
