I booked a flight directly with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) earlier this year. Weeks later I needed to add a Known Traveler number to my reservation, so I searched online for the airline's customer service number.

The number I found was not the airline's. The people who answered said they were SAS agents. They told me my return flight was "on hold" and had to be reissued for the same amount I had already paid, and they charged my card a second time for the full fare. The charge posted with GalaxyEscapes and the airline's name shown together, which made it look like it had come from the airline.

No ticket was ever issued. Nothing needed reissuing — my original ticket was valid the whole time and its ticket number never changed, which is how I know for certain no reissue took place. GalaxyEscapes has no affiliation with the airline and no authority to issue or reissue its tickets.

Their emails came from supportATgalaxyescapesDOTcom, signed with a first and last name that I doubt is real. They quoted my genuine booking reference and ticket number back to me, which is what made it convincing. One of their confirmation emails arrived with a completely different passenger's name and date of birth on it before they corrected it to mine — so they were clearly running several people through this at the same time.

I reported it to my bank, the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center, the FTC, my state Attorney General, and my local police department, which referred it to a fraud investigator.

If you are looking for an airline's customer service number: type the airline's own web address into your browser and get the number from their site. Do not use numbers from search results, AI-generated summaries, or business listing pages. Those are being deliberately seeded with fraudulent numbers, and that is exactly how this happened to me.

I was able to speak to customer service and they were exceptional in accommodating my situation and explain all the possible options i had. I was satisfied with the service.

Had a small hiccup with not receiving an email, the issue was on my end. Was able to contact customer service, speak to a real person, who was very helpful, patient and able to assist in resolving the issue. The representative made the experience excellent!!

Please do not trust this company they are scammed. They take your money and issues you a fake ticket and when you arrive at the airport to board your flight you realized that you were scam. Please don't make the same mistakes I made of trusting this agency. After doing my investigations I realized that they had done it to others. Please stay as far away if you don't want to be the next victim

Marco Reese was the most respectable, professional, sympathetic man I have worked with in a long time! I made a mistake in booking and rather than rejecting me with a reply of;”you have to pay the consequences “, (like 2 other employees told me!!!), he made me feel understood, believed me and then took the integrity to assist me to the end of rectifying my inadvertent error. Marco was remarkable and gave me back the trust in Alaska Air. If I could rate him with 10 stars I would! HE EARNED EVERY STAR!

This company is a complete scam. They pretended yo be associated with SAS and took my money. They provide no service and now I'm battling with Citi to get my money back. I hope Google brings up this website up when searching for them so that they don't scam more people.

As with many people posting on this site, I’m begging you not to trust this company! Unfortunately, Trust Pilot allows companies like galaxyescapes to post fake reviews, but trust the people who say this site is a complete SCAM! They impersonate airlines, steal money, claim they are going to pay it back, and never do. I’ve been fighting for months to get money back, and am finding myself needing to take the legal route. Whatever you do, DO NOT trust galaxyescapes.

Robert was extremely helpful. I’m 82 and not very good with new technology and Robert was very patient.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally request reimbursement for the additional travel expenses I incurred as a direct result of GalaxyEscapes changing my return flight without providing timely notice.

My traveling companion, Mahmud Omedonge, and I purchased our airline tickets through GalaxyEscapes with a confirmed return flight departing Las Vegas at approximately 10:00 p.m. This itinerary allowed us to attend a previously scheduled event before traveling home.

On the day of our departure, we attended that event, where all attendees were specifically asked to silence their phones out of respect for the program. Because of this request, we were not monitoring our phones continuously. During that time, GalaxyEscapes changed our confirmed return flight from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. that same morning. This change occurred with less than 24 hours’ notice and without our knowledge.

By the time we became aware of the change, the newly scheduled flight had already departed. We did not request, authorize, or approve any changes to our itinerary. We relied on the confirmed reservation that GalaxyEscapes had provided when we purchased our tickets.

The consequences of this untimely change were immediate and costly. My traveling companion, Mahmud Omedonge, was required to report to work at 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Missing work would have placed his employment in jeopardy. Faced with this emergency, I had no reasonable alternative but to purchase another airline ticket so we could return home as quickly as possible.

After searching for available flights, I purchased seats on the last available Southwest Airlines flight departing Las Vegas at 11:10 p.m. The additional cost of these replacement travel arrangements was $342.00, an expense I should never have incurred had GalaxyEscapes provided timely notice or honored our original confirmed itinerary.

This unexpected expense created a financial hardship and caused unnecessary stress during what should have been the conclusion of an enjoyable trip. Instead of returning home according to our confirmed plans, we spent valuable time trying to find last-minute transportation because our original reservation had been changed without our knowledge.

I trusted GalaxyEscapes to manage my travel reservation professionally and to notify me promptly of any significant schedule changes. A change from a late evening departure to an early morning departure is a substantial modification that requires immediate and effective communication. Had we received timely notice, we would have adjusted our plans accordingly. Unfortunately, because we were not notified in a manner that allowed us to act, we missed the rescheduled flight through no fault of our own.

Following this incident, I contacted GalaxyEscapes and was informed that I would be reimbursed for the additional expense. However, despite that assurance, I have not received reimbursement.

I respectfully request reimbursement of the $342.00 I was forced to spend because of this schedule change. This expense was directly caused by the failure to provide adequate notice of a significant itinerary change. I believe this request is fair, reasonable, and supported by the circumstances.

I hoped that GalaxyEscapes will resolve this matter promptly and honor its commitment to reimburse the additional costs I incurred. I have attempted to resolve this issue in good faith and all I got was false promises to call back and hung up on .
