It was the first time I had used Gane and Marshall - a recommendation from a friend. Clare Gane was simply incredible! Everything from her initial recommendations to the planning, to seamlessly changing everything due to cancelled flights, she handled it all effortlessly. The trip was fantastic - a safari and then three nights on the beach in Kenya, with all arrangements working like clockwork. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Clare and her team.

It's the first time we've used Gane & Marshall for a trip to Costa Rica and Panama and we can't fault the service, particularly the expertise and advice provided by Clare. Nothing was too much trouble and Clare even managed to arrange to add two friends to the trip at very short notice. Gane & Marshall went the extra mile to ensure the itinerary was comprehensive and covered everything we wanted to do and see. They also provided plenty of advice and recommendations which was invaluable and we stayed in some very special luxurious lodges and hotels. We appreciated the personal level of service and felt that we were looked after. Every aspect of our trip was excellent and we'd have no hesitation in using Gane & Marshall again or recommending them to other keen travellers.

Jeremy Gane was our key point man throughout our successful Kilimanjaro expedition in 2022. We originally were planning, with Jeremy's help, to climb Kili in 2020. As with everything pandemic, the trip was postponed not once but twice to finally happen in '22. From the start of our enquiry through to the follow up on return, Jeremy was metaphorically with us every step of the way. His organisational skills, especially with the multiple covid related changes, coupled with his unflappable style gave us the confidence to continue to plan, even when the odds were not stacked in our favour. With every expedition, there are always day to day challenges, however Jeremy also had to deal with currency exchange issues, large variations in our expedition numbers, from 12 to 32 to finally settle on 22. We had people from the UK and from Tanzania in our group so different Visas and questions all arose on the back of this. At every turn, Jeremy either had a solution, or came back to us, sometimes within a matter of hours, with a choice of options to progress with our planning. His experience of travel, and his obvious passion for the mountains was a winning combination and made us feel that we were in very capable hands. Thanks to the briefing of the local guides and expedition leaders, all 22 of us reached the summit and had an experience of a lifetime. This was all planned meticulously in the background by Jeremy. He is now the person I would always go to if and when I plan our next challenge! We owe him a great deal for keeping us safe and giving us all the information we needed to make the right expedition decisions.

We used Gane and Marshall for the first time 20 years ago and since we have done most of our trips with them. The last experience in Kenia has surpassed all our expectations. The organisation, the attention to details, the care that Clare has given to our party, including solving problems related to Covid… It feels as if She is my best friend, she understands my needs and she has sorted all our problems and concerns. This trip has been the best trip of my life and I am most grateful to Gate and Marshall: the are true professionals, competent and knowledgable with a very personal touch.

This was my second safari with Gane and Marshall. Clare's organisation is second to none and we felt very well looked after. A flight change whilst we were already on safari was dealt with perfectly by her. I'd highly recommend them.

This is the tenth trip I have done with Gane and Marshall. Consistently high standard and very pleased with the varied itinerary which included a stay at a tea plantation, four days safari in the Majete National Park and finally staying at a luxurious resort on Lake Malawi. Most of our trips to Africa have been with them and we will continue to use their expertise as they know what we like

This is the second time we have travelled with Gane & Marshall, whose service is excellent. Our many thanks to Clare for arranging a superb family safari for us in Kenya. We travelled with our daughter and grandchildren and Clare arranged our stays at two excellent child friendly camps, her knowledge and attention to detail is second to none.
We hope to travel again with Gane & Marshall in the near future, and would strongly recommend them.

We were recommended to Gane and Marshall for our recent trip to Namibia. This holiday was first booked via Sarah for June 2020, and then moved to 2021 and we finally went at the end of May returning last week. Sarah was excellent in advising us, booking it, moving it (twice!) and the holiday lived up to all expectations and in some cases better than expected. I cannot thank Clare at Gane and Marshall enough for taking the stress out of organising our trip to Malawi and Zanzibar. Her accommodation suggestions were excellent and she dealt with our changing itinerary requirements promptly, giving us good advice throughout the whole experience. Gane and Marshall and been organising holidays for me and my family for the last 25 years. As a young adult, then honeymoon and several family holidays since. They really get to know you personally and tailor make the holiday to fit your style and needs. Their attention to details is exceptional. To say that Clare is knowledgeable would be an understatement. They recognise that holiday time is precious and make sure every penny spent is totally worth it. I have used other agents too but always come back to Gane & Marshall. I wouldn't go on special holiday without them. Just got back from an amazing holiday with them at Christmas and organising next Christmas as I type this.

My friends and I were very lucky to climb Kilimanjaro followed by a 3-day safari and 5 night stay in Zanzibar, returning shortly before lockdown as a result of coronavirus, the entire trip booked through Gane & Marshall. Being a small family firm means you very much get the personal touch - Jeremy, Michael and Clare all answered our many, many queries we had before departing with patience and accuracy, using their first- hand experience; also their overheads are not as substantial as some larger companies so they are very competitively priced. G&M are extremely professional and instill a sense of confidence and I thoroughly recommend them as a company - in better times I hope to be traveling with them again.

Kilimanjaro Summit!

I used Gane & Marshall to coordinate our successful climb of Kilimanjaro and subsequent safari through the Serengeti and Ndutu. They’re truly the experts and are well respected on the mountain. This was the 5th trip to Africa organized through Gane & Marshall for our group and I chose them again because they have proven to be a reliable and knowledgeable vender. Hopefully not our last adventure! 101 countries and counting. 5 stars!

My wife and I had a superb holiday in Oman for two weeks, largely following one of Gane & Marshall's advertised trips.
Before the trip was confirmed, Gane & Marshall asked all the right questions about the type of holiday we wanted, such as the level of accommodation, the amount of walking, any food restrictions, etc, which gave us confidence that the trip would suit us - which it did. This initial contact convinced us to select their trip over other travel operators.
A slight problem in booking the direct Oman Air flights was resolved by changing to Qatar Airways with a transit in Doha both ways, at a lower cost. In practice this was of minimal inconvenience.
In the Muscat area we had a brilliant driver/guide who was extremely professional and knowledgeable, as well as being extremely caring, welcoming and with a good sense of humour. Our other driver/guides in Dhofar and Mussandam did not disappoint. The accommodations were all of a good standard and very welcoming and comfortable.
When the return flights were cancelled due to the developing coronavirus epidemic, Gane & Marshall pulled out all the stops to make sure we got home on the best possible alternative flights before the situation became more serious.
I am very happy to recommend Gane & Marshall.

Fantastic holiday at 3 national parks in central India - Pench, Kanha and Satpura - to see tigers (best at Pench), numerous birdlife (170 species - best at Satpura, also Kanha), also leopard, bear, and giant squirrels (Satpura)!
Well organised holiday - efficient collection and transfers, with aid of local company across India. Included memorable train ride across Madhya Pradesh, and exciting road journeys navigating all sorts of traffic and challenges. Recommend not too many transfers between sites in your itinerary.
Excellent hotels with attentive staff, good food, and well-informed naturalist guides at each place.

Sarah planned our bespoke trip to Zambia and Botswana over Xmas and New Year and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Even a last minute alteration to the itinerary due to a cancelled internal flight was swiftly resolved and the trip went very smoothly. The entire experience, especially the wildlife, was just amazing. We wouldn't think twice about using G&M again for a special trip or recommending them to friends. Thank you Sarah.

Mike has lived in and traveled much of Japan and was a great help in helping us plan our four week trip during the Rugby World Cup.
Following the rugby meant a fair bit of train travel and a fairly unorthodox itinerary but the work Mike put into this was incredible all the time making the most of what there was for us to experience along the way. His knowledge and insight was spot on in helping us get the best out of our self guided trip, getting us off the standard tourist itinerary and seeing a small glimpse of rural Japan. Personal highlights are too many to mention Japan is a fantastic destination so safe and clean, great food and a different surprise every day.

This has been our fourth trip with Gane and Marshall, previous destinations have been Tanzania/Zanzibar, Argentina/Antarctica and Namibia which were all put together by Sarah, all very personalised meeting our needs and expectations 100%, if going to Namibia try to include Desert Rhino Camp in your itinerary.....we cried when leaving !!

Clare from Gane & Marshall planned our spectacular honeymoon to Uganda and Tanzania. She was able to plan exactly what we wanted within our budget and we couldn't have been happier with our trip.
