good but their AI doesn't work that well but it's easy to make games

I accidentally purchased the yearly Gold subscription instead of the monthly plan. I contacted GDevelop billing on May 23, 2026 and requested either a refund or a switch to the monthly plan. After receiving no response, I sent a follow-up email on June 13, 2026. I still have not received any reply.

Very disappointing customer support. Even a simple response would have been appreciated. Based on my experience, communication with the billing department has been extremely poor.

I love using Gdevelop. My only concern is that when I boost my game on their platform the feedback seems artificial. It feels like they are using bots to make it appear as though people are playing it.

I hate it when companies start advertizing their AI agent that just feels like rebranded ChatGPT. Not only that, but I keep on having issues whenever I try to use it and it's not just just me being a bad coder. I legit think this program just doesn't want to work for me.

I joined GDevelop and paid for the one year gold subscription to work on a gaming concept I had in mind. I was hoping to work out the hardest issues with their AI. What I encountered was one bug after another. It coudn't enable actions on the Y axis, and I spend over 500 AI credits to try to fix it. I gave up after about a week and emailed them to request a refund. I send them screenshots of what was happening the verification they wanted. They basically told me that the issue didn't exist. I then sent dialogue directly from their AI that acknowledged and apologized for the problem. I didn't hear from them again and ended up calling my bank to dispute the charges.

Wish I had checked the real reviews here on TP... been using it for few months and its like... someone may have had a good idea (although not a very original one), but created a f.ing nightmare to use app... please give us all a favour and either fix UX or kill the app off .

As a younger student interested in game development I find it pretty helpful! It's free and allows me to play around with different aspects of game-making and learn at my speed in my own way. Something I've struggled with when trying to learn code or using different engines is either not being able to download the different software/engines I would need, or not being able to understand what I was doing because I was just following along with what someone else was making. This solves both those problems, as there is no engine to download and everything is very visual and easy to figure out on your own! On the webpage itself, everything is also explained well with short descriptions and is pretty easy to navigate after playing around with it for a bit. However, because it's both on the web and also a free engine, it of course won't be able to make as realistic or complicated games as let's say Unity is. So all in all I would say it is a perfect place to start trying to learn, but may be a bit difficult if you're trying to make something more advanced or realistic.
