Ordered a strut mount for my Jetta around 10 pm at night for pick up in Ottawa. Next morning I had an email saying it could be picked up at 10 am.

Part was Bilstein and price was less than 1/3 what my local VW dealer was charging. Also no shipping charge on the pick up.

Could not have worked out better.

If I was able to give this online supplier (germanparts.ca) a NO star, I would. The ordering process went smooth enough. However, when you try and make a claim for a replacement part (my particular part carried a 1-year replacement warranty), the service goes out the window. Not only do you have to track them down, they start feeding you BS that we only accept returns after a mechanic has done a diagnostic test on the part. Something that was NEVER explained at the time of purchase. BUYER BEWARE . . . This online retailer cannot be trusted.

Ordered parts that they said would fit my vehicle from their website. Parts didn't fit, and I am left holding the bag. Don't guarantee they're going to fit and then shaft the customer because of your mistake. I wish I read all the bad reviews about this company before I decided to purchase. I now purchase from rockauto and will never do business with germanparts ever again.

I received used old pard instead of new I purchase from this company. The company didn't cooperate to reimburse me or find a reasonable solution. It is unbelievable a scam to pass old rusty parts.

Germanparts.ca like many other online auto supply sites have a feature to input the year, make, and model of your car. I presumed this was to ensure that what you buy is compatible with your car. I'm not a mechanic and have a very basic understanding of cars. So I bought a bunch of Liqui-Moly additives to help maintain my car. Some of the products were redundant for my car, I bought a port injector cleaner, however, my car has a direct injector, so while this likely will not 'damage' my car it is 100% waste of money. If the website cannot provide an algorithm to guarantee what you are buying, why doesn't the person filling the order know that the customer has bought products that are completely unnecessary for their car. I have wasted $66 on products that I have to give to my friends because Germanparts will not exchange them - obviously they are unopened, and in the same condition they were in their warehouse. Luckily there are plenty of vendors for these products.
