The WORST experience

The WORST experience. Please, AVOID this company. I made a booking for two trips with 4 children (one baby of 8 months, two 3-years old, and one 5 years old). I ordered children seats for all of the children - further, I had a correspondance with the company about the children seats (safety etc.). The first trip: the taxi driver did not show with children seats - after discussion the taxi driver found one children seat (age 5 years old). I filed a claim - and the night before our second trip, they simply cancelled our trip ! They cancelled at 08.37PM - we should have been picked up at 07.45 AM ! Left us in a terrible situation. AVOID this company

Ungewollte Doppelbuchung, ohne Stornierungsmöglichkeit

Auf der Homepage von Getbybus wurde während des Bezahlvorgangs ein Fehler gemeldet. Wie in der Fehlermeldung angegeben, habe ich den Vorgang wiederholt und hatte plötzlich zwei Tickets bezahlt. Getbybus hat sehr schnell auf meine Reklamation geantwortet. Allerdings sieht die Firma sich nicht in der Verantwortung..

Used them for a bus from Podgorica to Kotor.
Sent me comprehensive pick up instructions.
Coach was reasonably modern and felt safe.
Good price. I would use them again.

Very bad company

I totally recommend to avoid this company. I bought the ticket from Geneva to Verbier on the 11th of January.
Everything went well until I received a call from the AlpineFleet on the 16th of January. They wanted to confirm that I received information from GetByBus that my transfer is canceled because they not provide shared transfers, only privates. They canceled this ride straight after I paid (on the 11th). I was shocked because no one from GetByBus contacted me. I gave them a call and wrote an email - they said that they're gonna investigate situation bla bla bla. Until today I didn't get refund, becuse they didn't get information from the "third party" and they have 3 months to do this! I have never had this kind of situation. I'm tired of writing them e-mails and ask about MY MONEY. My lawyer do the next steps because this is ridiculous. So be aware that this is too risky to buy tickets via their website.

Booked a bus from zagreb to Banja luka…

Booked a bus from zagreb to Banja luka on 17/11/2023, did not tell me location of bus, I emailed them and try contacting them, unsuccessful, please do not book with them. I arrived at zagreb main bus station on time no sign of bus and was left stranded.

SPAM email activator

After I bought a couple of tickets for a trip I started to receive a lot of spam emails (3-5 daily). This was the only transaction within days, so it clearly related. I wrote customer support asking to remove my account and delete my data. It took them 2 months, but the spam wave stopped! It's a known fact, that middleman companies sell your user data to other companies, but this is too much...

I accidentally booked two tickets and…

I accidentally booked two tickets and immediately after I wrote email to support.Seven minutes later support contacted me (even tho it's sunday) and said that they will refund that one ticket.That was very fast and effective! Thank you Kristina for fast reply.

Should have read reviews before booking…

Should have read reviews before booking online...
While booking on their website, after I entered credit card details the page froze and "gateway timeout" message popped out.. So I thought it's a glitch, and started the booking again...
Second time it went well.. And the booking was complete..
However, after checking my bank account I discovered that the booking was done twice..
Contacted them for refund.. Out of luck, as they refuse to refund in any circumstances..
Beware.. And don't rush..

It takes almost 4 hours, not 3 as it shows in the webside

I travelled by bus from Skopje to Ohrid with the bus company Makedonija Soobrakaj, through the getbybus.com website.
On the website, it says that the ride takes 3 hours. But it takes almost 4 hours and makes several stops. One of the stops is at a gas station, where it stops for 15 minutes so the passengers can go to the restrooms or grab something to eat. The seats are standard size, that is, ok for short people, but not quite comfortable for tall people (1.85 and +). There is no wifi, plugs, TV screens, or WC. Skopje station is dirty and not very pleasant. Even if you have purchased the ticket online, you must print the ticket and you must also arrive early to pay a tax of less than 2 euros at the bus ticket office. You cannot choose your seat online, not even at the bus station. It is first come, first choose.

Skopje
Tetovo
Kicevo
Ohrid

This means that the information is right there, available for you to read, before you make your purchase. Sometimes the trip can take a bit longer, depending on the state on the road and season we're in.

Considering the state of the bus station, that is not something that we can influence.

Hopefully you will have a better experience on your next trip.

Tickets do not work

Tickets do not work. They will not let you on the bus with these. You have to purchase at the station but the bus was already full when we showed up with our tickets from Getbybus.com. The tickets don’t reserve you a seat and are not legitimate

Getbybus is a scam

Getbybus is a scam. They will sell you tickets that will not be accepted and you will be turned away at the station. Many people were turned away at the terminal and were stuck there for hours looking for alternative transport. If you manage to contact them, they will blame another company. If you tell them that TripAdvisor is loaded with hundreds of examples of these illegal business practices, they will argue with you. This company should be shut down immediately. I’m not even sure how they are legally allowed to operate. In many parts of the world they would be facing class action lawsuits. Avoid at all costs.

As per our answer to the comment above, the reason why your tickets were not accepted was because the operator did not update the list of passengers on time and sold tickets to other people, thus the bus being full. It is possible that there was just a glitch in the system.

This is unfortunate, but also something that we are simply not able to control. It can happen during high season, for the inventory to not be updated on time, due to the fact that we are not the only platform that sells these tickets, but there are others as well.

However, we are guaranteed that our clients get a seat on the bus. This is why you were granted a full refund for your purchase. Our goal is not to blame the operator, but to find a solution that is best for you.
