Think Twice Before Buying GET RED
I bought a GET RED Kamado grill after comparing it with the other kamado models. The advertised lifetime warranty and the technical specifications convinced me to choose GET RED.
Before this purchase, I had excellent experiences with other brands. Whenever I needed warranty support or spare parts, communication was fast, professional, and hassle-free. Naturally, I expected the same level of service from GET RED.
About nine months later, the ceramic ash ring cracked and literally fell apart. I contacted the retailer, who immediately redirected me to the brand owner, UAB Supply Experts.
From that moment, the experience became extremely disappointing.
A simple warranty claim took almost two months to resolve. During that time, I had to repeatedly call, send messages, and remind them that my case even existed. Almost every response was the same: "We don't have the part yet" or "We're still waiting for it, call next week" There was virtually no proactive communication from their side.
The situation became even more absurd when they later claimed the replacement part had actually been sitting in their warehouse from the start. Instead of admitting their mistake, they tried to blame me for not collecting it, even though I had repeatedly asked for the exact pickup address and never received it. After realizing I would have to drive roughly 80 km just to collect a warranty replacement, I insisted they ship it. Only after lengthy discussions did they finally send the part.
Ironically, they even promised to include a small gift as an apology for all the inconvenience. Of course, no gift ever arrived.
What disappointed me most wasn't the defective part. Defects happen. The real problem was the company's attitude toward customers.
Instead of improving customer service, they seem far more interested in controlling public criticism.
Negative comments on their Facebook page were deleted. People are reportedly blocked from Facebook groups for criticizing the company. On other websites they attempt to have negative reviews removed instead of addressing the actual problems. They have even disabled Google reviews altogether, making it nearly impossible to leave honest public feedback. Finding a place to post a genuine review about this company is surprisingly difficult.
The warranty issue was eventually resolved, but only after two months of chasing them myself.
A lifetime warranty is only valuable if the company stands behind it. In my experience, GET RED and UAB Supply Experts do not.
If you're choosing between GET RED and other Kamado brands, don't focus only on the specifications or the marketing promises. Ask yourself one question:
What happens when something breaks?
Unfortunately, that's exactly where GET RED failed me.
