Thanks fBeware
Thanks for the warning. How are they still scamming people?
If it sounds to good to be true-because it is
The only difference in your bills would be the
running cost of 1 or 2 useless devices.
I don't intend to mock those that purchased them as i too fear these 2 energy cost increases. My bills are already high as i'm on economy 7. I am disabled/housebound and will turn all other heaters off and live as in 1970s as child with 1 coal fire and draughty windows.
We were treated to a fire in the bedroom fireplace when my pet penguin died from hypothermia.
When something seems too good to be true it usually is.
I turn to trust pilot every time and strongly recommend everyone new to this does the same.
Always ignore reviews on their website as they're fake. Would they really put negative reviews up.
Stay safe.

I also was also almost sucked in to this.. even added to basket, thankfully something in the back of my mind said double check it. So glad I did.
Thanks to all reviewers
Thanks to all reviewers. I was tempted but thought I’d check it out first xx
Could voltex and ecochip be one and the…
Could voltex and ecochip be one and the same company as they both offer unbelievable savings ,big company's want to shut them down , and both offer same returns policy . Dubious reviews all 5 star ,same discount structure am thinking scam all day long .
Wow Super Scam
Wow, best invention ever…..in the land of Oz !!! Utter rubbish, use the money you save not buying this product to pay your electric bill !!
Thank goodness for Trustpilot
Thank goodness for Trustpilot. I almost got sucked into this as well. I always go to Trustpilot 1st now
It's a scam
It's a scam - do not trust their 'reviews' or website. It used to be called Motex now Voltax and both 'gadgets' are complete rubbish - they can't save 'up to 90%' of power used in a home it's just not technically possible.
Thank you all for your feedback
Thank you all for your feedback, saved me just under £100… 🙏
Just to bring to your notice
Just to bring to your notice, I saw another add for 'VOLTAX', looks like the same product but a change in name from 'Voltex' to 'Voltax'. These reviews saved me from this scam, thanks to you all for your reviews.
This is clearly a scam
This is clearly a scam - they are using trustpilot reputation to get people to order and think they are ok - I lost £135. - trustpilot should do something about this

This is the biggest scam and rip off I have ever come across.
I marked lowest star because it was the…units do not work and company does not live up to claims for product
I marked lowest star because it was the most I could give Voltex Units.Should have rating in negative values.

How Google can let false advertising to rip people of with this scam box
This scam device is just a mains…
This scam device is just a mains voltage capacitor in a plastic box. It is supposed to 'correct' the current coming into your property. This is indeed as the power company already does this for you. The device actually USES electricity rather than saving it. At best it's a small wall heater.

utter nonsence
utter nonsence. dont waste your money on this SCAM
what utter nonsense
what utter nonsense, what makes it worse is its a Google advertisement I am being bombarded with.
Shame on you Google
Voltex/Motex/Scamtex
At best this is a tiny powerfactor correction unit. At worst it's a tiny wall heater with an led nightlight. Cuts 90% off your electrical bill? Er, no. You have more chance of winning the Nigerian lottery with that ticket you never brought than by slashing your electricity bills by using this device. You want money saving tips? Turn off unwanted lights, don't fill your kettle with more water than you need, turn heating & hot water thermostats down a couple of degrees, turn items off instead of into standby mode. Yes, I'm an electrical engineer and received this spam advert the same way you did.

You must think the British public is stupid!!
Total Scam. DO NOT BUY
Unfortunately I am leaving this review on behalf of my Grandfather, who was recently conned into buying one of these "energy saving devices" at a cost of £50
Luckily he asked my advice (albeit too late as he had already placed the order) and I was able to see straight away that this company is a scam.
One look at their website, and you can tell straight away. The fake reviews supposedly left by UK buyers, quoting how many "dollars" they saved on their electricity bill... despite supposedly being a review left by "Ben from Bristol"
Or the claim that they can reduce your bill from £251 to £15 with just one device... is very clearly not true.
The website is so obviously a scam that I am finding it hard to understand how anyone, even my own grandfather, could actually fall for this.
Its far too good to be true, and isn't it funny that this "wonder product" comes along just as energy prices increase? No such thing as a coincidence.
If this technology was a "real thing" don't you think the government would be handing them out to every household in the UK?
If it genuinely saved that much electricity, don't you think this would have caught on worldwide by now? It wouldn't just be sold by some dodgy company that nobody has ever heard of.
Just reading through their website is a complete joke, they constantly mention "big energy" as if this device is some kind of way to "fight back against the big corporations" is just ridiculous. Its very typical American advertising tactics, and its all a con.
Don't fall for it. You can't meaningfully reduce your electricity bill without reducing your usage. Its scientifically impossible.
Want cheaper electricity bills? Turn the lights off. Thank me later.
