Brilliant. it blocks youtube ads, there isnt a subscription pop-up, it works in Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, everywhere, i havent seen an ad since, AND i get live update from a little pop-up window. how can this get any better?!

I've used Ghostery for years as an ad blocker on Firefox, my primary browser and Edge. It reliably blocks YouTube ads.

I downloaded Ghostery because there was one web site I need to use, and the site was unusable because of ads. I would have paid the website a small fee to remove the ads, but the fees were ridiculous.
Ghostery solved this problem for me, but after a year or so the website have found a way to disable viewing unless ad blockers are switched off.
On Sunday afternoon I contacted Ghostery to ask if anything could be done. By the time I woke up on Monday they had e.mailed back, had replicated the problem, and are working on it. Amazing response.
I would also point out that I use Ghostery for free, and have never asked for any payment.

This was supposed to be a FREE Ad-blocking service/company. Googled it!
When I went to the site it asked for my credit card information, the ENTIRE TIME saying it was FREE!! I submitted that imformation thinking it was required for my free membership! Wouldn't you?
I was immediately charged $39.99.
And I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THEM: Rude 'chat' person said my money was refunded but wouldn't show up for 5 to 7 days....??? Oh, really? My bank credits are immediately applied.
If this doesn't come thru I will write another review AND contact the FTC.

They make much propaganda, extolling the virtues of their product. But if I have it on a Facebook gaming site, nothing will load. They told me they don't know what to do about it, but get this complaint, often. If they can't fix this, what good is it?

Personally I dig this app, they even update from requests. I had a site which improves its tech to know about ad blocking, i wrote to ghostery with info of the site and within days it was working blocking a very high profile, ad heavy website (wont mention the name)

Ghostery collects personal private information and tries to hide that fact behind legal documents. It's no better than the trackers it blocks. Ghostery even tracks browsing history!
