Louise (aftersales) was very helpful with prompt updates when parts of the chain were stalling the process.

Extremely disappointing experience with Gilson Bailey.

We viewed two properties with Sharon, and unfortunately her attitude throughout was rude, dismissive and unprofessional.

As first-time buyers with a deposit ready and genuinely looking to purchase, we expected to be treated with basic courtesy. Instead, we were rushed through the viewings, and Sharon appeared disinterested and openly critical of various aspects of the properties, sneering at what she didn’t like.

What I found particularly uncomfortable was the way she treated the vendors. At one viewing, an elderly vendor was telling us about the history of her home, which we were genuinely interested in hearing. Sharon got impatient and eventually closed the door in the lady's face. After the viewings, she practically ran away from us. I found this incredibly disrespectful.

I appreciate that we may not have been viewing million-pound properties, but every buyer and vendor deserves to be treated with professionalism and respect, regardless of the property's price or the buyer's budget.

The whole experience left a very poor impression of the agency. The behaviour we encountered fell well below what I would expect from a professional estate agent. I returned this feedback to them and received no response.

Don’t use Gilson Bailey as a buyer OR a seller. They have no interest in selling your home.

These guys employ Cowboy contractors, and when things predictably go wrong have no interest.

Gilson & Bailey have been really prompt in facilitating viewings. Tom showed me around on the second viewing literally a day later and communicated super quickly and clearly as my sale was negotiated and agreed. As I was considering 2 properties with the same agents they quickly made sure I’d only have to communicate with one agent and Tom has been great since. They have all been nice and helpful and quick to answer anything back and forth with sellers when considering options before proceeding with buying. So far, so good!

All the staff are very helpful. I used them previously to rent my flat. More recently I went back to them to sell my mums house when she died.
Louise and the team made the whole procedure less stressful…..as there were ups and downs with the buyers!

I passed the checks for a rental property but pulled out due to the fact Gilson Bailey shared my data without my consent with a company called "One Utility", who kept calling and texting me. I then found out One Utility had contacted council tax and Anglian water, before I had even signed up with them, or signed the Tenancy agreement, to notify them of my moving date. Anglian water set up an account which I then had to phone them to complain about. Absolutely outrageous, and surely illegal?

Don’t be misled by their current rating. My experience with this agency during a house purchase last year was a complete waste of time due to an unprofessional approach and rude staff. Most importantly, they didn’t even pass our offer on to the seller—we only realised this when we later saw the asking price reduced on Rightmove. To make matters worse, they then submitted the *wrong* offer amount on our behalf. Unbelievable.

I used Gilson Bailey in Norwich for the sale of my dads house after he moved into care. Louise was excellent, keeping me updated on the progress and chasing updates from the other parties when needed. A seamless and excellent service where they also took the last days meter readings saving me a 400 mile round trip. Thanks to everyone involved but a very special thanks to Louise.

My experience with Gilson Bailey was great from start to finish. They were proactive in arranging viewings to sell my flat. Communication was good throughout.
Louise in the after sales team was amazing. My buyer’s solicitor was very difficult to deal with and she did everything she could to get the sale to exchange. She was responsive to emails and calls putting me at ease.
