Excellent course
Excellent course and super value at £10. Great training programme, I enjoyed the different runs and workouts. After having an injury in Dec/Jan was just what I needed to get back to running with some speed sessions. The yoga by Rachel as always is the best yoga I have tried. Highly recommend this Queens of Speed course.
I can't recommend Lucja enough!!!
I met Lucja Leonard when I was volunteering at Bigfoot 200 in 2021 and was so impressed with her. I immediately found her on instagram and saw that she was a coach. When I decided I wanted to do Bigfoot 2022, I knew I would need help and reached out to her. We agreed to work together to help me reach my goal. She had no idea what she was in for! After we started training, I moved, started a new job, quit that job, and moved again. During that time, myself schedule was constantly changing and she had to make never ending adjustments to my training schedule. She was always available and willing to make whatever adjustments were necessary to keep the progress moving forward. I fully believe that if I didn't have her giving me direction, encouragement and guidance, I doubt I would have even finished Bigfoot 200, let alone finish as successfully as I did. I am so grateful for her coaching and look forward to working with her for my future goals as well!
HMDS - couldn’t have done it without Lucja
When I considered doing Half Marathon des Sables the first person I thought about was Lucja Leonard, having trained with Lucja before and knowing that she had done the race twice and numerous other multi stage races. Lucja started my training at an easy pace as I had just had knee surgery. My plan went at the right pace, with Lucja adapting it as required to suit my recovery. Lucja was realistic in fitting training in around life and work, supportive when it got tough and encouraging. We had a number of zoom calls and messages which were not just about training but how to prepare for the race, what to do and not do, nutritional advice, kit advice, answering all my stupid questions……..endless information and support which was invaluable. I’m already looking forward to working with Lucja again in the very near future.
Train Strong Together Triathlon 70.3
After a 15 year break from triathlon, I took part in a sprint event last autumn and was hooked again. Later in the year, GRTW launched their Train Strong Together programmes and I thought the Triathlon 70.3 programme looked inviting! The event would be The Gauntlet at Hever Castle in July 2022. That was two weeks ago and I am so pleased that I took the plunge and joined the programme to take part in this event.
The fabulous training plan set by the coaches (Rachael and Natalie) through Training Peaks was easy to follow and they could track my progress. Whilst most of the training was done solo, we had weekly turbo bike sessions on Zoom and monthly coaching calls as well as huge amounts of encouragement/support.
It was a long trip from Scotland to Kent for the race but well worth it. Rachael was there on the day to cheer on at a point on the bike course that was most needed - wow, it was a hilly course! - and there at the end with my family and fellow GRTW competitor, Jenny. It was great to finally meet those that I had seen so many times on Zoom.
Now what to do next? Running is definitely my weakness so I have just started the Race Shape Challenge again. Then I think it will be another training plan programme to improve my 70.3 time next year!
I highly recommend the Train Strong Together Triathlon 70.3 programme - I had never done this distance before but took it on (at the age of 54) and completed it! Thank you, GRTW.
Half Ironman training
Training for a half Ironman might seem an impossible task and I was rather apprehensive at the beginning but I found the support of girls run the world and especially Rachael amazing ! From coaching calls that led to me signing up for races that would act as training such as goodwood duathlon to weekly turbo sessions .. the whole journey has been amazing . I would highly recommend the train strong together programme for triathlon which provides daily schedule and training suggestions on training peaks .
Lastly, having support around planning race day and also support on the day was great :)
Summer solstice running retreat
Loved this welcoming and inclusive retreat. All ages and abilities accommodated. Really well planned runs with very experienced coaches. I've been injured and not running recently so was really pleased I was able to join all the runs. The yoga was brilliant and probably the reason why I was able to run without exacerbating my injury. Stunning countryside. Accommodation in bunkhouse - not luxurious but fair for the price, perfectly adequate and very pretty location. Great vegetarian food and amazing desserts. I went on my own as did about half the group but everyone was really friendly and chatty.
Trail Marathon done - thank you GRTW!
Two weeks ago I completed a Trail Marathon. Me! It was really tough and I wouldn't have been able to do it at all without the online coaching from GRTW.
Having a complete training plan online took the decision making out of what to do each week and the fact that coach Rachael could see what I'd done (or hadn't!) and dropped encouraging guidance/advice notes into the plan was super helpful. The group coaching calls that come as part of the package are great, Rachael gave me advice on how I could adapt the plan if needed, talk about race nutrition, and set/adapt my goal for the marathon.
If you're looking for a women specific training partner whatever your goal or level (I am currently a really, really slow runner) there are so many courses and plans available from Girls Run the World. I highly recommend them.
Solstice weekend running…
A wonderful solstice weekend of running and yoga. Well organised, great runs in beautiful landscape and delicious food. Can’t wait to go again.
Very relaxed weekend of yoga…
I had a very relaxed weekend of yoga and trail runs. All ages accommodated, all abilities accommodated. No pressure no stress to do anything. No pressure no stress to keep up. Evening meals were extremely late though. Bunk bed dormitory sleeping.

Lucja Leonard is my coach and she has been absolutely wonderful.
When she commits to a time to do a zoom call, she is right on time.
She has adjusted my calendar to fit my needs and talked me through trying to find balance with life and running goals.
We have coach to athlete relationship, but in the end, she treats me like I'm a friend.
Highly recommend my coach Lucja!

GRTW marathon training
GRTW marathon training was utterly brilliant and I have to say the personal coaching from Rachael was second to none. She was great as a coach, pushing me when I needed it. I found the training elements well structured and flexible enough to work around my busy life schedule. What I love the most about it is the fact that is set for women by women. I will be definitely using GRTW for my next project. Thanks, Rachael!

The half marathon training programme…
The half marathon training programme was totally brilliant. I had a plan I could tailor to my own needs that built up my strength, speed and endurance and got me right back to hitting my old finishing time (~2 hours) from several years ago in just twelve weeks. I’m going to do it again for my next race this autumn.
10k Plan
I did the 10k plan in March and found it easy to follow, ran my first 10k since the previous October and got a PB.
I decided to do it again for the BM10K and reached another PB, would definitely recommend this plan and GRTW.
Look forward to trying another one.
Great coaching with Lucja for an ultra
Great coaching with Lucja for an ultra. Great contact and video calls. Always willing to adapt the plan to any niggles I had or my often unpredictable work schedule and very supportive. Highly recommend
Bite size blocks of great glute work
Bite size blocks of exercises that I could easily fit in to my day, when I chose to, not dictated by a certain time slot that I might miss. Specific and targeted exercises with clear demo and explanation of why they are important for running. Changing them keeps them interesting and maintained my motivation.
Glute strength - game-changer!
I did the four week Glute strength for performance and it was a game-changer! Good variety of exercises that complemented each other and really helped me isolate and strengthen my gluten and also get some more mobility. Can feel the difference in my running, and the exercises are great as a break from sitting at a computer all day!
I completed the 5k race shape challenge…
I completed the 5k race shape challenge and my time was a bit faster than it had been...then I did it again...and again...6 months later I've taken 5 minutes off my 5km time and will be continuing to follow the training. The structure of the programme is great and suitable for all levels of fitness, allowing you to go at your own pace and push yourself to improve.

Just completed the GRTW Calf Rehab…
Just completed the GRTW Calf Rehab course and I can definitely recommend it. The 4 steps are excellent and guide you through the exercises, strengthening and allow you to safely get back to running.
I started at step 2 as I was over the most acute phase. It was perfect and easy to follow with good explanation. I’m now back to running and did a 10k race in a good time last week.

I just finished the fabulous GRTW V ultra challenge.
I just finished GRTW V ultra challenge.
The whole experience was fabulous from start to finish. This was a free event and the content was really valuable with short yoga sessions and lots of great videos with running techniques. It really got me inspired to finish the distance and I completely re- fell in love with trail running.
I have previously completed at least 3 other paid for courses and they don’t disappoint! Well done GRTW for completely inspiring this female runner!!!
