Our three-week African safari was quite literally the trip of a lifetime. Spanning four countries - South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Rwanda - the logistics of such an ambitious itinerary could easily have been daunting. Instead, the movement between camps was entirely seamless, allowing us to just relax and immerse ourselves in the magic of the continent.
The Accommodations & Service
We stayed at six different camps throughout our journey, and each one was extraordinary in its own unique way. The level of hospitality across the board was nothing short of 5-star luxury. Every single member of the camp staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for, and pampered after a day in the bush.
The Safari Experience
The real magic, however, happened out on the trucks. The personal service provided by our safari guides and trackers was thoughtful, deeply educational, and incredibly enjoyable. Their expertise and keen eyes paid off massively - boy, did we see an extraordinary number of animals! From the iconic Big Five to the rarest of wildlife, every game drive brought a new, breathtaking surprise.
Final Thoughts

We just completed our journey to South Africa highlighted by a stunning safari in the Sabi Sands game reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park. Travelled Joburg to Mala Mala, to Victoria Falls Zambia side, to Chobe Botswana and the Okavango Delta. The initial briefing worked on price range then the booked trip was presented and agreed. Go2Africa is 100% a “class act,” as my dad would say. Our (a girls’ group of three) initial contact was an online form on which I stated our preferred dates of travel, length of stay, budget per person and countries we wished to visit. From there, we were matched with a travel advisor, who emailed me a suggested itinerary. I followed up with my fellow travel-mates, and then set up a Zoom call with our advisor. She addressed all our concerns and came up with another itinerary.

This was NOT a one-size-fits-all package deal!! Go2Africa took ALL the needs, wants, desires and requirements of three individuals and crafted the perfect itinerary for us! Once we agreed on that, we were assigned to a customer service specialist, who had a video call with all three of us and answered our exhaustive questions. That call plus the awesome Go2Africa app helped us with necessary vaccinations, visas and packing lists.

Once we got to Africa, every transfer, drive, flight, and accommodation were already taken care of. Almost every meal was included in our stay, and those that were not were a) disclosed clearly, b) very inexpensive, and c) delicious! Our accommodations were absolutely beautiful; the food was top-notch; the service was amazing.

Go2Africa did it all. Everything combined to make this the most amazing trip ever. I would absolutely recommend Go2Africa to anyone who is thinking about traveling to Africa!!

We have traveled extensively and I have to say, Africa was the most amazing trip we’ve ever been on. I am so glad I had Go To Africa plan it for me. They were very accommodating to my requests. I wanted to be in Africa on specific dates and they booked the perfect trip for us when we wanted to go!! We wanted a glamping experience and we got the best ever with the Simbavati Hilltop Lodge With only 7 beautiful spacious “tents”. Cape Town & Surroundings
Our time in Cape Town was filled with unforgettable highlights. A spontaneous hike up Lion’s Head turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Table Mountain, explored with Monique, was equally spectacular.
The Gold Restaurant provided a vibrant and enjoyable evening, combining interactive drumming with a rich culinary journey across Africa.
The Romney Park Luxury Apartments offered comfortable and well equipped accommodations with friendly service, while the charming Auberge Clermont Guesthouse was simply delightful, with beautiful surroundings and an excellent breakfast.
A visit to the Babylonstoren Wine Estate was another highlight. An impressive and beautifully managed estate that we highly recommend. The Cape Winelands as a whole offered stunning scenery and enjoyable tastings, even for non-experts like ourselves.
Safari & Nature - Truly Memorable
Our safari experiences were a major highlight of the trip.
At Muchenje Safari Lodge, we enjoyed exceptional hospitality, breathtaking views, and fantastic game drives led by an outstanding and highly experienced guide.
The Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge offered beautiful natural surroundings and a warm, welcoming team, providing a more intimate and authentic bush experience.
Tanamera Lodge was a true gem, arguably the highlight among the lodges. With stunning design, incredible views, and a wonderfully personal touch from its new owner, it left a lasting impression, even during our short stay.
Victoria Falls - A Spectacular Finale
Our visit to Victoria Falls was a perfect finale. A helicopter flight over the falls was an unforgettable experience, offering breathtaking perspectives that simply cannot be matched from the ground.

Final Thoughts
This journey exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The thoughtful planning, excellent guides, and carefully selected accommodations all contributed to a rich, seamless, and deeply enjoyable experience.

Everything was just exceptional. From initial contact with agent through setting up itinerary and booking. All hotels, travel arrangements, land and air transportation, attractions and game drives were just Fantastic. Go2Africa did really meet all expectations.

The Go2Africa destination experts I worked with were simply outstanding. I had booked a Safari with them a few years back (2 camps in S. Africa/Kruger private reserves, 1 in Zimbabwe and 1 in Botswana) that were so good and so well planned with luxury experiences and animal encounters beyond our expectation (we had been to Tanzania previously with a different outfitter) that we simply had to reach back out when we wanted to have a Kenyan experience.

They did not disappoint. Again they suggested wonderful, luxury camps that offered us varying landscapes and animal concentrations. The staff at each camp were top notch. There was seriously nothing we wanted for - from private game drives 2x per day to incredible meals and Bush meal experiences throughout. And...the animal encounters were amazing - we had so many "firsts" (which is saying a lot for as many animal excursions as we have been on around the world!).

We will be back again for our next Safari experience & might just be bringing the grandkids when they are old enough!

My wife and I, both 77 at the time of our trip, had without question the trip of a lifetime. Was it a question of affordability, yes until we returned. Upon return we both were overjoyed with our decision, still are after celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary. When asked what was the most memorable event of our lives, of course marriage, children and grandchildren came first but right behind it would be our trip of a lifetime to Africa and our experience designed by Go to Africa after they listened to our interests and structured a trip based TOTALLY on our interests. Pay the price, do it right and make a memory for the rest of your life.

The planning process couldn't have been Ashley is simply amazing. She listened to what we wanted to see and worked up a perfect itinerary. We booked this trip and had to postpone it 2X because of Covid. Our expectations were high, and Ashley exceeded them. The trip was magical. I saw the big 5. I took 8K of photographs. The accommodations were excellent. The staff at all of the places were top notch. How many vacations have you been on where you can not think of anything less than great about the trip? The trip was simply magical! Note: The date of actual trip was 2022. I still remember it like it was yesterday!

Africa feeds the soul like no other place on Earth! Its vast diversity, beckons to us to return to explore new areas that offer the uniqueness of each landscape. The spiritual awareness of seeing the wildlife roaming freely on the savannas of East Africa and the Gorillas of the mountain forests, absolutely rocked my world beyond words. Of course, my grandchildren needed to see this! So trip 2 included a little larger group and an itinerary that also included S. Africa, Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls - with exciting activities at the Bakota Gorge for our young adventurous adults…Cape Town and wine country are easy add-ons. What a difference this trip made! My grandson found his purpose and my Grandaughter and husband, committed to finally starting their family. We now have a new baby in the family and another on the way🤗. My husband and I were drawn back once again-this time to explore the more remote areas of Tanzania. The kopji outcroppings are unique to this area and offer excellent big-cat perches. It is easy to add a visit to the crater and/or a trip to the beaches of Zanzibar from here. Needless to say, the choices for that “once in a lifetime experience”, are endless in Africa. However, if you are a fan of a stress free vacation, navigating the complexities of travel between countries, camps, etc is next to impossible without the help from a staff that knows the area (believe me, I’ve done the research!). Go2Africa has just booked our 4th trip and I wouldn’t travel without them❣️ Thank you for enriching our lives beyond measure and taking such excellent care of us along the way. We will see you soon!

This amazing trip was a 3 week whirlwind that encompassed 3 different countries, multiple flights, tours, drives and borders and it was completely seamless. We had not one worry the entire time we were away. The sights we saw, the experiences…I can never say enough about Africa, and go2africa made it unbelievable! Our properties were chosen for our likes and our budget with such care. It really was the perfect vacation and the best 3 weeks of my life.
Sadly our second trip was not to be, as my husband passed away, but go2africa treated me with such care, compassion and concern when I had to cancel our plans.
People say you can judge businesses by repeat customers. I’ll be heading back to Africa again in 2027, a solo journey this time, but go2africa will be there with me every step of the way.

We took my 97 year old mother to Africa. She got pneumonia 10 days into our 3 week trip. She was evacuated to Harare, Zimbabwe, and we were still in the ER awaiting test results when Go2Africa sent someone to help. This wonderful woman found me dinner, a nearby hotel & drove me to and from the hospital each day. Go2Africa also arranged for my husband to make it to Harare as there wasn't room for him on the medical flight. 10 days later, when my mother recovered and still wanted to see giraffes and lions, Go2Africa was able to rearrange our trip and extend it by 10 days, so my mom didn't feel as if she missed out. We are going back to Africa in a month with Go2Africa, I wouldn't go to Africa with anyone else. I'm sure there are many good trip planners for Africa, but Go2Africa was there every step of the way with the help we needed, when we most needed it.

Once again Mary and Annali organised a brilliant holiday for us, they kept in touch with us regularly so I always felt we would have backup if anything went wrong (which it didn’t!)
