Absolutely crooks. Over priced super expensive. Borderline criminal. Will be filing with governing body. Totally ripped me off.

When my payments were too high, Nexi worked with me to establish a payment schedule I could meet.

Until today, I would have given NEXI 5 stars, but unfortunately, they showed that they are just another company practicing usury in the name of "alternative financing". We were financed during our biggest sales month, and our remittance rate was calculated at roughly 22% of all sales. As our busy season has passed, we have submitted three reconciliation reviews to keep our payments in line with 22% of all deposits. (That 22% includes the money disbursed by NEXI, your true remittance rate is much higher) The first two reviews were no problem, but the third was where we found issues. Even though we have not defaulted and have operated within the parameters of the contract, NEXI has decided to void our contract and left us to pay back the remaining MCA debt on our own, on top of the money provided by NEXI. It would make sense to reach out to the client before cancelling the contract to gain better insight into the full picture. Unfortunately, just another predatory lender disguising itself as a tool for small businesses. Deceitful practices at usurious rates, and they have no intention of helping anyone other than themselves. They will "help" you if it is convenient for them. It is a shame that so many businesses have found themselves in the egregious world of alternative financing. A better solution would have been to take the MCA companies to court for usury and fraudulent business practices before ever taking a reverse consolidation product with NEXI. Financing in this form is simply people who are nothing but parasites to society, taking advantage of people who actually contribute to society.

Our business faced a non expected slowdown in collections on outstanding invoices and missed payments on all three merchant cash advances (MCAs) that we had, each from a different financing company. Two lenders patiently worked with us through the slowdown and did not penalize us. The third lender was Fundamental Capital d.b.a Nexi, a total opposite of the other two lenders in terms of approach.

Nexi was firing on all cylinders. A typical case of machine guns at a fist fight. The level of aggression and speed was unmatched. Nexi was quick to categorize their merchant cash advance as a case of default. Nexi was quick to file a lawsuit with their arbitrator of choice called Rapid Ruling. (Eventual total cost of arbitration related charges was less than $2000). Next, with full knowledge that arbitration takes time, Nexi, through a letter signed by Jacklyn was quick to write to our business's payment processor, first to seize any amounts in that account, secondly to seize all incoming payments from customers, and to freeze the entire account. This brought our business to a near standstill. Then there were Nexi calls to our office threatening to collect directly from our customers. This was all in a matter of days.

Unknown to us, this was Nexi's well-orchestrated plan to tie our business's hands, immediately bringing it to a stand still and to DICTATE (not negotiate) a quick, exorbitant and extortionist settlement down our throats, and to ask us to inevitably notarize it if we wanted to stay in business. Diana of Nexi demanded a humongous default fee/attorney fees of 30% of the amount that was outstanding. 30%! That's $19,565.42, to be added on to the outstanding mca balance, as a default fee/attorney fee, as the ONLY path to give our business a lifeline to resume normal operations. She insisted that "30%" was clearly and specifically stated in the funding contract, and yet it wasn't. Fact!). And that I had to make a decision quickly prior to potential additional collection measures. To save the business and resume normal operations, we signed the settlement agreement.

In the months that followed, after so much back and forth communication, Nexi reduced the exorbitant "default fee/attorney fees" to a slightly less exorbitant, but still excessive, and still extortionist "default fee/attorney fee" of approximately $11,565.

The aggressive tactics employed by Nexi almost closed down our business unnecessarily, causing immense stress, financial hardship, financial loss and loss of some business. Today, all three lenders are paid off. We learned the hard way to do our own research and due diligence on lenders, prior to ever taking a merchant cash advance in the future and more importantly, to critically vet lenders and their brokers.
