WARNING TO VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES
My husband is a Vietnam veteran diagnosed with PTSD and Alzheimer’s. Due to his condition, he is especially vulnerable in sales environments. During a visit to the Good Feet Store, Metairie, LA location, he was sold orthotic inserts totaling approximately $1,700 after a sales presentation.
Shortly after use, the inserts caused increased heel and knee pain rather than relief. Because of his Alzheimer’s, this negative experience led to confusion, distress, and refusal to continue using the product.
I returned to the store with the full product and requested a refund. The store manager declined to resolve the issue and referred me to a higher-level manager, Chris Lymuel. I explained the situation in detail, including my husband’s medical condition and the product’s failure.
Mr. Lymuel advised me to wait for follow-up. After receiving no response, I sent a text message and left a voicemail. My attempts to resolve this matter have been ignored.
The company has retained payment for a costly product that not only failed to perform as represented but worsened my husband’s condition. Ignoring a disabled veteran’s family after promising follow-up is not just poor service—it is a failure of basic accountability.
Desired Resolution:
• Full refund of approximately $1,700
• Written response addressing this complaint.
• Review of sales and customer service practices involving vulnerable individuals

I was so hopeful when I walked in the door. I’ve planter fasciitis for three years and when I walked into the good feed store, I’m sure the sales person could see the pain that I was in. I’ve had the orthotics now going on 4 weeks and they have not helped at all.
I was promised that they would call me to see how things were going, and I have not heard back from them.
The price was outrageous, and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about how much I spent on these when they don’t work.
Unfortunately, it is proving to be a waste of money. A lot of money.
The Bad Feet Store Experience
My husband had achy feet and hearing the advertisements on the radio, it seemed like a good idea--$1500 for a non-returnable product that makes your foot condition much worse is not a good plan. The high pressure salesperson made us believe these off-the-shelf orthotics were custom fit based on footprints was at the very least misleading. We are stuck with inserts we can exchange for new ones to try to correct the fit, but it's a bad plan to purchase a misleading product in perpetuity. It was an expensive lesson. Just say no!
Very deceptive
The Cranston, RI store has caused EXTREME distress to an elderly, nearly 90 years old, couple that I advocate for. Their sales process is intended to deceive and pressure potential clients. They prey on the vulnerabilities of people in pain.
First... they removed/ripped out the insole of the Prada shoes she came in with (did not return them)rendering them useless. Then they were told that they could not give them a price upfront. They needed to sign a contract to get the price. Being a more trusting generation, they did that. They were not given a copy of that contract.
The first time they heard $$$$ was at checkout. Nearly $6000!!!! At that point they were embarrassed and too polite to object.
Please do your research before visiting this shop. D rating at BBB.
Overpriced scam
Overpriced scam! They will sell you a system of at least 3 pair of soles, each set is a little over 500$, these did nothing for me and actually I had new back pain from them! There is a no refund policy! Save your money! Or go to a podiatrist! These come straight off the shelf! They are not custom!!!!
Scam
Scam, high pressure, they had us wait 60 days before we could get a refund. The supports cause more pain. After the 60 days they would not give us all the money back making us pay for foam cushions that we never used that probably cost them hardly anything and charged us $125.00.
Massive ripoff
Huge waste of money and my feet still hurt. Nothing is refundable, not even the unopened packs of compression socks that I didn’t want. Don’t fall for the diagnostic gadgets and smooth sales pitch. Staff are not podiatrists and don’t have the professional skills or training to correctly diagnose problems. A custom orthotic costs half the price, stands a better chance of actually working, and could be claimed on health insurance. Stay away from The Good Feet Store. I wish I had.
Buyer be ware
I was told that their product would help with my foot pain, it actually got worse. I could not have their arch supports in my shoes for longer then 15-20 minutes. I called the good feet store in Lansing Michigan multiply times, and nothing calls went to straight music, then after the 5th attempt at calling I got an answering machine, I left a message, no response, no one called me back. They charged me for products that I did not ask to purchase, they made me believe they were free.. included in the purchase.. 3 pairs of ankle socks $47.97…3 inserts $87.97 and 3 arch activators $57.97.. I asked for none of these .. not to mention the charge of $434.99 of each of the 3 arch supports.
This is NOT a store as there is no…
This is NOT a store as there is no choice of a product. Its little booths, no actual shoes. Very misleading commercials. I went to the Glastonbury “store” and left when I realized what it really was: a place to buy arch inserts for shoes.
Don’t!
The Good Feet store employees do a wonderful job of building a rapport and trust with you as they go through the motions of analyzing and measuring your feet. They makes several lengthy trips to the back room to make you think they are really doing some custom work for your particular foot problem. I wish I had read these reviews before I went because I too was suckered for $1750 for three pairs of plastic inserts. I have gone back to the store several times for the same problem, but I have to admit that the inserts have made a significant difference, but certainly have not eliminated the problem as promised.
The Good Feet Store does not provide custom insoles
The Good Feet Store does not provide custom insoles. They are pre-manufactured, sitting on the shelf. The reps are nothing but salespeople. They keep bringing you insoles till you tell them they feel good. They may feel good at the time, but they may not really be what you need for your feet and or body mechanics. For the extremely high price you pay, you would think there would be a registry where customers would be documented/listed with what insoles were sold and the costs paid. But that would mean there would be a paper trail, The Good Feet Store could be held liable for and held responsible for any complaints. I paid over $400 for the top, most resilient insoles of the caramel color cause I wanted them to last, but when they eventually cracked and started to fall apart, when I went in for replacements, the sales rep gave me the cheaper (black), less durable insoles. These sales reps are not trained in anything other than sales. There is nothing custom or caring about these people or company.

I WAS CHARGED 2300 DOLLARS AT A GOOD FEET STORE IN HIGHLAND,IN. AND WITHIN A DAY OF WEARING THE SUPPORTS MY FEET WERE HURTING WORST THAN BEFORE I WENT IN.THE INSERTS WERE HARD PLASTIC AND THEY MOVED THE WEIGHT FROM MY HEEL TO THE BALL OF MY FEET WHICH CAUSED MORE PAIN THAN BEFORE.REMEMBER NO REFUNDS.
THIS STORE IS A JOKE !
THIS STORE IS A JOKE !! THEIR WEB SITE STATES THAT PRODUCT PRICING IS $400-$600 ?? AFTER THEIR BS SALES PITCH, THEY WILL TRY TO SELL YOU THEIR ELITE PACKAGE FOR OVER $3,000. YES, OVER $3,000 FOR SHOE INSERTS !!! WHEN YOU REFUSE THIS OPTION, THEY WILL TELL YOU THERE IS A STARTER PACKAGE OPTION FOR $500 ??? BOTH PACKAGES ARE THE SAME !! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE WARRANTY - 6 MONTHS VS. LIFETIME.. A LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR SHOE INSERTS - WHAT A JOKE !! THERE METHOD FOR DETERMINING WHAT ARCH SUPPORTS YOU NEED IS ALSO VERY FLAKY.. YOU CAN GO TO THE POWERSTEP WEB SITE, DO THE "WET TEST", AND GET THE SAME AND PROBABLY BETTER RESULTS. THE SALES ASSOCIATES ARE NOT MEDICALLY QUALIFIED TO DIAGNOSE ANY FOOT PROBLEM - ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING THE HIGHEST COMMISSION FROM A SALE. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SEE A LOCAL PODIATRIST. THE GOOD FEET STORE IS A TOTAL FRAUD !! AVOID THIS STORE LIKE THE PLAGUE AND GO SEE A GOOD, LOCAL PODIATRIST WHO CAN PROPERLY DIAGNOSE ANY FOOT ISSUES THAT YOU MAY HAVE. THIS IS A MARKETING SCAM AND A TOTAL JOKE !!! BUYER BEWARE !!!

I want to share my experience with The Good Feet Store so others can make a fully informed decision before committing.
While the overall concept and process were explained, my concern lies more with the in-store sales experience. I felt that the approach was overly pushy, particularly when it came to financing. At one point, the salesperson took control of the phone during the credit application process and directed what to select, emphasizing how easy it would be to pay off. This made me uncomfortable and felt more like pressure than guidance.
There was also a strong push to add on additional products, such as shoes, even after I clearly stated that I was not interested in them. For a purchase at this price point—around $2,000—I expected a more personalized, customer-focused experience rather than one that felt driven by upselling.
Additionally, while the system is presented as a multi-step, customized solution, I did not feel that the three-step insole process was tailored to my individual needs to the degree I expected. I followed the instructions provided, but unfortunately did not experience the level of relief I had hoped for.
This may be a solution that works well for some people, but I would encourage potential customers to be mindful during the sales process. Take your time, ask questions, and don’t feel pressured into financing or add-ons that you’re unsure about.
Buyer beware: for a significant investment like this, it’s important to feel confident not only in the product, but also in the level of care and professionalism you receive during the process.
Complete scam!
Don't fall for their Friendly Face it's all a Scam
don't fall for the friendly sales tactic sure they act nice but scanned me the wrong heel arch saying i had high arches and at 1500 was ridiculous I didn't pay but I went looking for high arch replacements only to have terrible ankle pain, switched to flat arches and the pain decreased. They have no idea what they're talking about and just take advantage of people's pain
Too bad that zero rating isn't offered
Too bad that zero rating isn't offered. I should have left the store when a piece of carbon paper was used to step on to diagnose every condition from head to toe. Their products are at least a hundred times more expensive than from Amazon, etc!
They simply wear you do down with double talk when the customer has a complaint or requests a refund. I thought that I was a smart consumer. Oh well, they got me once. I ended up throwing them away. They were so painful. Best advice is to stay away.
A complete scam
A complete scam. Hoped they could fix my walking issues. Promised they would. Paid thousands for inserts that cost hundreds to make. Then insisted I pay on their credit card which I didn’t need/want. Turned out my walking issue required brain surgery.
Buyer beware
Buyer beware. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT BUY HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. They stole my money on false promises. Mt Gravatt store.
