The GO Overland Canada Summit Light was the perfect roof top tent for our Raider 280 Offshore Boat. At 117 lbs it's well within the vessel's roof top weight capacity ensuring a safe centre of gravity. The sleek 4.7 inch thickness of this roof top tent had no effect on the vessel's speed and performance during operation. The clamshell opening is perfect for anchoring when the tent is mounted so it can be accessed from the rear deck (stern) of the boat. Since the bow of the boat always faces into the wind when anchored this ensures the clamshell aluminum roof always shelters the occupants from the wind. Everyone who has ever slept in this tent while anchored or moored has commended the comfort and warmth of this tent in marine conditions. This roof top tent has provided additional sleeping space for our family and is now the most sought after bed space on the vessel because it offers a little more privacy and separation during boating trips. I highly recommend the purchase of this Canadian made high quality, lightweight 4 season rooftop tent. I would also like to commend all staff for their customer service including: quick email responses, price matching and ensuring delivery of the product in time for our one week boating trip this summer. The tent is great I’ve spent many nights in it and have absolutely 0 complaints consumer service is amazing emailed back within minutes

Misrepresented the material their tents are made of, when contacted to discuss returns the policy is ridiculous. Cost you out of pocket with no garuntee you will get any money back due to their small print saying if its damaged in return shipping they will not refund you. So you risk sending a sub par product back, no control over how it is sent, no proof it was ok when it gets there and they can decide not to refund you. .Misrepresented the product, and once they have your money for an over priced tent, they wil not even attempt to find a reasonable solution when contacted.better products on the market at better prices. So I would spend the cash somewhere else. Left feeling ripped off and lied to because I tried to buy Canadian.

Great shipping and timely responses for my rooftop tent and annex purchases. Some more detailed install instructions for various roof racks could be more helpful as I did not realize the difficulty i would have on my bronco oem rack due to low clearance and trying to get my hands in to secure it. Tent looks great and of good quality, first trip coming in 1 week!

I purchased the Expedition Mini from Go Overland in the spring of 2025. Fast forward to summer 2026, and I've already spent 30+ nights in the tent and have nothing but good things to say. The build is sturdy, convenient, and has features I didn't know I needed until I had them (skylight, attachable rain awning, lighting system, 3-season insulation kit). It's weathered intense storms and continues to draw compliments at campgrounds and crown land around Alberta/BC. Last, the customer service has been fantastic and responsive. I had an awning pole fail, and within 2 weeks, Go Overland had sent me a replacement, no hassle.

Great to see a Canadian RTT performing at this caliber. Highly recommend purchasing your next setup here!

Après bon nombre de recherche sur internet pour choisir et trouver le bon modèle de tente de toit, j'ai finis par choisir la Go Overland Expédition XL avec auvent 70°. Le tchat en direct a été réactif puis un contact téléphonique où le correspondant a pris le temps de tout expliquer, même plus. Julien est très compétent et passionné.

Tent has been awesome, no issues whatsoever so ever. Would definitely recommend to others and will be ordering again in the future.

My review is on the Expedition Max. My experience with it has only been one weeks worth of use, but definitely more weeks to come.
First impressions out of the box are good! The tent's hard shell is solid and has nice clean fits at the joints. The seal on the roof to side walls has been applied perfectly. The hinges and latches seem solid. All though the locks on the latches wouldn't stop anyone from breaking them open. But then I believe the locks are for piece of mind while driving more then security. Who would want to break into a RRT anyways?
Folding out the tent is easy, yet comes with a small, but overcomable issue. While folding out the tent by pulling on the extended ladder the wall and roof fabric have a tendency to wrap around the outer corners of the floor and resist in the folding out process. I was able to eventually fold out the floor by using the ladder in a pumping motion to release the fabric off the outer corners. This is a bit of a nuisance. My concern with this is, will it eventually cause extra wear and tear on the fabric and cause premature failure over time.
The ladder so far has worked well. It does what it's supposed to do. My small issue in this area is the small cover fabric used to cover the ladder during travel. It definitely could have been wider so you don't have to fuss with it so much to get it aligned over the ladder during fold up. And maybe I'm doing something wrong, but everytime I collapse the ladder during fold up, the little cover fabric gets all bunched up in the ladder rungs and I have to climb up into the tent to retrieve it. Again, not a big issue just annoying....
The tent fabric and seams are done well. The door awning is held up with two spring rods like most tents. I'm not sure why these rods don't have metal rings to hook into like the windows. They hook into reinforced fabric pockets in the corners. It gives the tent a more cleaner look for sure, but I have concerns of wear over time. As long as the rubber tips stay on the spring rods, it should be fine.
Moving on...... the tent comes with a diesel heater port located in the top right corner of the entrance. In my opinion this is probably the last place I would have put it. Hot air rises, so why put it in one of the highest locations on the tent? Why not put it lower so the air blows across the lower area of the tent giving it a more even temperature and less hose will be needed to reach this port? I will probably install my own magnetic port at some time in a more practical location.
The mattress also seems to be of good quality. I'm six foot tall and two hundred pounds and side sleep. I may invest in a self inflating mattress eventually, but I don't see it as a necessity but more of a luxury. I have had good sleeps so far. I'm a big fan of the mattress fabric. It appears to be quality and adds a nice finish to the interior.
The interior and exterior lights I'll have to give a big fat zero!! Both lights failed from day one. Not that this would be a big game changer but definitely needs some quality control. Go Overland is replacing the lights with no questions asked. This is great, but it also needed two emails to get through and get it taken care of. My new lights should be here any day now.
So there you have it...... my two cents for what it's worth!
Should I have given it five stars? Maybe it should of only got three or four with what I've stated in my review. I guess that's up to you.
In my opinion, it's what information is in the review than what the star rating is.
Would I buy another Go Overland tent?..... Yes!
Like my other RRTs it's a Canadian company and that holds weight with me. They also give first responders and veterans discounts, which I am neither, but have respect for.
I will update my review if needed over time.....

We purchased the Summit Lite RTT this spring (2026). We love this tent! We drove from Ontario to BC and it performed flawlessly. With two people it takes under 5 minutes to set up/take down and there was plenty of room inside. The service from Go Overland Canada was top notch. Highly recommend!

A high-quality product with excellent customer service.

I bought the Expedition Mini as I needed more space now that I have a little one, and I couldn't be happier. It is darker than my old tent, and it comes with a skylight which is great for starry nights. The mattress is very comfortable and having the lights in the tent is a big help. I bought the stairs as it makes it way easier climbing in and out, and easier to go to bathroom in the middle of the night as they really do act like stairs; much easier than a ladder. The customer service is top notch with quick replies and helped guide me to the tent that would work best for me and my family.

Thank you for an awesome experience and for the life long memories we will have.

Words can't even describe how happy we are with our Equinox and the rain fly. We received super speedy delivery and set up was a breeze..Let the adventures begin!

La tente en elle-même est pratique à l'utilisation.
Le matelas est beaucoup trop souple, courbatures des cervicales au lombaires le matin. Pas compliqué pourtant de mettre un matelas de qualité supérieure. Une autre piste d'amélioration par ces temps de canicules, mettre une peinture blanche qui réfléchit la chaleur, car la peinture noire rend vite le toit brûlant.
3 étoiles seulement à cause du matelas.
Si la tente avait fait 15 cm au lieu de 12, il n'y avait plus de problème et une super tente au final.

Been here from the beginning and could speak more highly of what Vito and Karen have built with Go Overland. Buying Canadian feels great and the tent holds up to the abuse of my overlanding needs.

I've been using the Go Overland Expedition Max rooftop tent with the annex on my 4Runner for several camping trips now, and it's been amazing from day one.

The quality of the materials and overall construction is impressive. Everything feels durable, well thought out, and built to handle real outdoor use. Setup and takedown are straightforward, making it easy to spend more time enjoying camp and less time dealing with gear. The annex is a great addition, providing us extra space and versatility in all kinds of weather.

What has stood out just as much as the product itself is the customer service. I had an issue with a damaged part, and the team responded quickly, provided a replacement at cost, and shipped it out without hassle. That level of support goes a long way.

Overall, the Expedition Max has been a fantastic investment and a reliable companion for exploring the backcountry. If you're looking for a quality rooftop tent that's easy to use, durable, and backed by great customer service, I highly recommend it.

My Equinox Lite was my very first rooftop tent and I cannot be more happy with it! The setup/take down, the pre included extras, down to even the box it arrived in, are all fantastic! I’m super impressed with the build quality and just the general thought put into the design of the tent/products in general. I highly recommend this rooftent/company to anyone looking!

Why 4/5 stars.
- no or poor installation instructions. You pretty much figure it out. That said they reply quickly to emails.
- We got the pro-rainfly and thought it would work while chatting with them. It works fine, but it doesn’t have any support, so it has to be straight down to be tight and not have water pool. Super disappointing and my biggest gripe.
- Condensation is insane. I have had many tents (expensive and cheap) and I have NEVER had so much condensation build up. I leave the windows open and have small fans and the condensation will drip onto me from build up over night. Its insanely bad. I wipe it each morning we camp and dry it out regularly in hopes it doesn’t mold.

Overall great product. Keeps you dry in heavy rain and warm in wind storms. It’s incredibly dark inside the tent too.
