Just about 3 years in with a Grant Blue Flame Oil Boiler & the Control Box has failed for the 4th time.
We're only 2 in the house + have a solar heater so it rarely fires up in summer months. So not hard worked.
The saving grace is the unfortunate but highly diligent plumber who sorts us out as quickly as he can - currently 4-5 days in freezing weather !!
The 34 year old Worcester it replaced ran flawlessly all its life.
We're saving in preparation of a non Grant replacement when the 10 year warranty expires.

Have had absolutely no response back from Grant. The boiler has kept failing since install and been nothing but problems. Will be ripping it out for a different brand.
Found all the reviews to be faked. All very similar reviews, and all in alphabetical order of names.

Absolute waste of money, will NOT be buying another.

Have a Grant Spira wood pellet boiler. Have had to have an engineer out about ten times since Christmas (and pretty regularly over the seven years of ownership); he’s frustrated at its continued breakdown. Contacted Grant to maybe come and give it a complete overall. They made it quite clear it was out of guarantee and that was that. Rude, uninterested. Now researching a new boiler. I will steer clear of this company.
An afterthought: that these boilers are a green alternative I find a quite spurious claim: this one emits clouds of dirty smoke, unless you can afford the more expensive British pellets they have a long way to travel, wrapped in plastic bags our waste collectors will not touch.

I have Grant Vortex Pro 26/46 that was installed and commissioned in November 2022. All went well until April 2024 when a loud knocking sound persisted on start up. I contacted the installer and the person who commissioned it and they and others tried to sort out the problem. They and others were unable to solve the problem. Eventually In December 2024 I contacted Grant who were pleased to inform me that my boiler was out of its 2 year warranty. It was interesting that I was never offered an extended warranty that might suggest that they had a problem with this product.
Avoid Grant (who subcontract their burners to Riello burners) AT ALL COST!
