Glad I tried it.

Hubbo makes dough every Friday. But heavy work schedule got me ordering from GBOF. Glad I tried it. I found it a bit heavy tbh. Like a light crispy base. Great service though.

Regarding the base, if the dough felt a bit heavy, it usually means it hasn't quite been pressed and stretched out to its full 10–12" potential. Our dough is designed to be stretched nice and thin to get that light, authentic finish in the oven.

Next time you fire up the oven, try working it out a little further to get that crispy base you’re after—it makes all the difference.

Very poor customer service

Order was lost in the post, customer service awful - no replacement sent, no refund. Very poor.

The order has not arrived

Original order lost somewhere in the in the world of logistics. However great communication and swift resolution with a no quibble offer of a full replacement. Thank you for resolving this so quickly and easily, changed experience from 1-star to 5-stars due to the great customer service.

Not to be trusted

You didn’t deliver my order, told me it was my fault, although the address was sufficient for others to make deliveries. The delivery agent said it failed to deliver on an e mail at 7.30am yet their van delivered something else here at lunchtime so they clearly didn’t try.
I was then told as the delivery had been returned to the supplier (clearly not true as they are too far away to have got it back within 3 hours of the delivery failure) and had spoiled so I needed to pay again.

When an address is missing a house number and uses a house name that isn't registered on the Royal Mail system, it makes it incredibly difficult for a courier to complete the drop. While other drivers might have found you before, couriers generally rely strictly on the official database. We would recommend getting in touch with the council and Royal Mail to ensure your house name is formally added to their systems to avoid this happening with future orders.

Regarding the return, once a courier marks a fresh product as "undeliverable," it cannot be redirected or safely sent back out. Because our dough is a fresh, temperature-sensitive product, it spoils if it isn't delivered within the specific transit window. This is why a new order is required, as the original stock is no longer fit for use.

Delivery said next day if ordered…

Delivery said next day if ordered before 12 I did order at 12 on Thursday so allowed an extra day did not arrive until following Wednesday. This was required for a family pizza party on sunday so we were most disappointed. Didn’t order the dough we wanted as that had a warning regarding delivery but the item I selected didn’t have this

Really disappointed with the service

Really disappointed with the service, placed our order on Saturday 25th April and paid £10.49 for delivery with it due to arrive on Tuesday in time for a family party. It finally arrived today Friday 1st of May and the dough is warm! We weren’t made aware of any delays when ordering and only now see a message on the web page advising of delays. I received a notification on Sunday 26th saying my order was ready to ship??? I was really looking forward to using this company and would urge them to improve communication and find a better courier!

We are really sorry to hear that the timing didn't work out for your family party and that the dough didn't arrive in the condition we expect.

We’ve been working hard to flag our current 2–3 day backlog across the site, including on our delivery page and order confirmation emails, but we appreciate it’s incredibly frustrating when an order misses a specific event. The notification you received on Sunday was to let you know your order had been processed and queued for packing; however, the actual transit time clearly took longer than it should have.

Regarding the temperature, it is very unusual for the dough to arrive warm, even with a delay, as our packaging is designed to maintain the right environment for fresh transit. We’ll certainly be looking into this with our courier, as that doesn’t meet our standards at all.

Really wanted to like this company

Really wanted to like this company, the marketing and messaging is spot on but the actual ordering and delivery experience has been extremely poor. Chose and paid for nominated day delivery which was ignored, can’t get any response out of anyone (5 days to acknowledge my email and the response was abrupt and unhelpful), asked for an escalation and got a response that simply said my order was in its way, not addressing anything I’d asked. Order then finally arrived and there’s items missing - and good luck trying to get a response out of the company. Clearly under pressure and struggling to keep up with demand, but it’s been a very poor experience and the limited responses from the company are lacking in any ownership, empathy, or resolutions. Real shame.

Very poor service - unreliable

The website offered me a delivery for Friday when I ordered on the wednesday - they then delivered the following Tuesday nearly a week later missing the party i ordered for. When i complained they have a ridiculous AI response that cant actually do anything - when i finally got a human they were pretty much computer says no to any kind of refund for the goods i didn't need as i had to buy from a shop that had stock. Don't recommend them unless you ordering weeks in advance and have alot of freezer space.
