We went to the Windmill in West Swindon on a couple of occasions when we were visiting relatives. Great atmosphere and Brilliant staff and customers. Unfortunately my wife had an accident and ended up going to the hospital. Arron and his team along with some fantastic customers were very supportive and took great care of my wife until the Ambulance arrived. As we live hundreds of miles away we have not been able to get back to thank everyone but we hope that we can pay another visit soon

We went to Pen and Parchment in Stratford and although we had to leave early as the room was so hot, this could not be avoided it was the hottest day of the year and sleep was impossible, the staff were sympathetic and gave us 2 fans to try to manage the heat, they told us the situation would be reviewed asap and arranged a refund. We also ate in the pub restaurant and had no complaints about the food or service with plenty of dietry needs catered for

Don’t know what’s happened to the Perry at chapel house used this pub along time for a quick lunch today went up order 2 meals off classic menu a water and lemonade were charged £19.64 with blue light discount so overcharged then when food come chips were awful I know they frozen as we know but they’ve changed we won’t go back now

We booked a Sunday meal for 2 at the Old. Rooms in Weymouth. Not busy, but hard to get staffs attention when we arrived. We tried to order food, only to find that they had sold out of most of the food on the menu. No roasts or 90% of their signature meals. 3 other couples who came in, just left due to no real alternatives. We ended up with 1 steak and 1 chicken pie which was only warm. ( not acceptable ) Yes they may of been busy earlier in the day but come on, running out of food is really something down to poor management. Yes we could of had mac & cheese or burger or2 other items. We wanted a decent meal and if you advertise sunday roasts etc you should be able to manage to give paying customers the meals you show on your menu.

I booked specifically for a roast, no roasts available when we arrived, but others got roasts after us , apparently they booked online so got preference , at the greengage bury st edmunds

todays was the worst meal we've had in a long time, waited nearly an hour for 3 simple roast dinners, 1 had to have a substitute meat as the turkey had run out but we were not told at the time of ordering, food was not that hot, gravy missing from one meal and the 4th in our party of 4 had ordered gammon but the pineapple was missing, after being told it was on it's way, it never turned up, although staff did come and apologise, we informed them that we we were not happy, had we not paid for the meal first, we would not have paid the full price for the meal

After eating at Windmill Farm, I can say I will never step foot in there ever again. First of all, they took 20 minutes to take away the plates as they were 'Short Staffed'. They also had no stuffing, which was unacceptable, and as you think it can't get any worse, it can! The Manager came complaining that underage kids were drinking lemonade from a wine glass, and proceeded to take the wine glass while whining about policy in the most unprofessional way possible. I would not recommend coming here, anywhere is better.

Had a lunch booked with my friend at Thornton Lodge, Skipool. We meet up here every couple of weeks. I eat here with both friends and family. I can honestly say that I have never found the need to complain. The staff, the food, the overall experience, is fantastic. Every year a make a large group booking, 20 of us for a Christmas get together. We have always been well looked after. My daughter graduates nxt month and I plan a get together for friends and family, and I have no doubt that we will be well looked after.

Visited Woodfield farm Doncaster great friendly staff always very helpful. good clean bar and restaurant. food is delicious and served hot.

we stayed at the Kings Head Hotel in Wimborne Minster , Dorset from the 7th to the 10th August as we were due to celebrate our golden wedding by renewing our vows in Wimborne in the Minster on the 9th of August , throughout our stay in the hotel the team led by Manager Trefore , assistant Manager Laura and all the staff went above and beyond from the moment we arrived until we left , seating all our group together for breakfasts and attending to all our needs with great professionalism , skill, and courtesy .On top of this on the day of our renewal of our Vows the Manager in his own time drove my son and my Wife around the square to the Minster in his open topped Limousine also a room was laid out amazingly beautiful for us and our 13 guests Wedding breakfast making this not only a great stay but a magical experience, well done Trefore and team and thankyou Greene king.

Visited the Holmfield Arms in Wakefield today with my family for my nephew's birthday. Ellis, our waiter, was very attentive and once he learnt it was my nephew's birthday he appeared with a card and a free drink for him which made him feel special (he's 12!).

The meal was really nice and reasonably priced. We couldn't fault anything.

Would return again. Thank you.

Our band played at a Greene King venue. It was very successful and we got a great review on the pub FB page. However, it seemed that in order to get paid we had to join their Concur/SAP data system. This has proven to be an absolute nightmare. So far, I have had to make three visits across the county back to the pub, and even then the pub manager could not make Concur work. I have wasted hours and hours on emails and phone calls and just come up against the dead end dealing with GK, lots of promises but no action. It is as if they really do not care about paying people who have performed for them. It is now six weeks and still no payment, despite going through every single hoop put in front of us. It is obvious from the masses of complaints online from those who have performed at GK pubs and cant get paid, that the Concur system is not fit for purpose. We value GK as a company providing opportunities for musicians and bands, but their payment system is absolutely appalling. We have been performing for a great many years and never had this much grief. We aim to be a reletively inexpensive band, comprising veteran ex-professionals that bring our loyal following to gigs, so this is particularly disappointing by Greene King.

I just had to write this review after being taken to The Greene King, Trumpington by my boyfriend for a surprise birthday meal.He was so happy to be taking me there after making a reservation.We arrived at the welcome desk and eventually we were greeted by a reluctant member of staff.She took us over to a small almost inaccessible table.My boyfriend asked if we could have another table...there was numerous ones available.When our roast meals arrived they were lukewarm.I asked could we please have a them reheated.Duly done..but the food when it was returned to us was not good.Considering what they charged and by the looks of the restaurant...really impressive ..we were understandable expecting better.The staff were polite but even that was not enough for my surprise meal to turn out to be a great disappointment.Upsetting to say the least.

Five star especially on a Wednesday when it's quiz night. Great quiz host; cool bar staff. Amazing atmos

I was really disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered fries but was given chips instead. When I raised it with a member of staff, they said they would check, but never came back. Around ten minutes after we had finished our meal, the fries eventually arrived – far too late to enjoy. I also ordered the cod goujon sandwich, but the bread was stale. When I mentioned this to the staff, I was told, “It’s cut and then frozen.” This confirmed what i thought, i dont expect a sandwich to be made from pre frozen bread, – I couldn’t eat it and picked out the fish, The salad on the sandwich wasnt washed and you could feel the grit from soil. Very sloppy work Overall, the quality of food and service was very poor, and I left feeling very let down.

Make it worse that you have to Pre Pay for food - now i see why. Avoid

The mount orrell . Superb room 100% comfy bed 100% staff very helfull in the restaurant . I stay there every few months . Well done

The staff appear to be trained in the fact that the customer is a hindrance.

They close up pumps one-and-a-half hours before closing time with cling film.

The staff are miserable, a reflection on the Managers.

Staff appear to only be here for the money, rather than to provide service.

Typically British, but when the Manager refused to help out on a very busy evening because he was having "a nap", he needs to go.

Another great meal at the fox under the hill pub Shooter's Hill,south east London...
steak was delicious cooked perfectly...
The staff are polite and friendly, especially Kim who served us so good with our daughter and Seb the manager who is always very helpful and welcoming ...
We would highly recommend this pub a big thumbs up 👍🏻

Have used many Chef and Brewer pubs across the country over the years and normally have a good experience so thought we would try the Roebuck on our stay in the Preston area. What a mistake…. Asked for a quiet table on the booking form and got two members of staff (one called Ashleigh) slagging off and swearing loudly about another member of staff with a local behind a separator screen between our table and the kitchen door. We had to ask them to stop as it was becoming unacceptable to the extent we nearly walked out…. Yes an apology given but didn’t stop us wanting to get out of the pub as quick as possible after food was finished. Talking of food we ordered the Pork Belly and Chicken Duo; We could hear the bell being rung from the kitchen to say food ready to come out but it took the chef coming out after a good couple of minutes to ask one of the “swearing ladies” to actually respond to the bell and serve our food. It was just about warm enough to eat, Pork Belly was nice but nearly too cold to eat and the chicken duo had the smallest lukewarm pieces of chicken I have ever been served for a main meal in my 60+ years on this planet of ours, overall not the nicest food to eat but we were hungry after a days travelling to get to the Preston area. From our experience I would say there is some obvious staff discord going on leading to a bad atmosphere and cold food for customers to “put up with”. We will think twice before trying another Chef and Brewer in the future!

I went to The Sale Marsland Rd Sale on Sunday 24th August and had the roast dinner. The food was dreadful. Luke warm soggy, chewy vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. The lamb shank was not freshly cooked and reheated. The lady who served us did offer us some drinks but we declined as we already had got drinks. Half the food was left.
