Greenstar fitted solar panels & sigenergy battery for us in January 2026.

The initial site visit carried out by Jon was really helpful - he chatted through the options available and the suggested system size then the quote was sent through the same day. The quote was comparable with a couple of others we had received.

The scaffolding/fitting was arranged very promptly and total install including the scaffolding assembly/dismantling was all done with a few days. The system has been working perfectly with no post installation issues

Communication from the Greenstar team was great throughout too. Would definitely recommend them!

Huge shout-out to the Greenstar team! After chatting with a few companies, Greenstar won us over by being the only ones to visit us personally. They made the whole process easy to understand and gave us great recommendations without any pressure.

I cannot praise the overall service from Greenstar more. From the initial visit all the way to hand over and advice about tariffs, they have all been excellent. I do feel I have a great system but also the comfort I also have support and advice should I need it. I had about 5/6 quotes initially, a few were either side price wise. However the knowledge of Jon and then quality of the install was superb! Highly recommend anyone to speak to them.

I had reached out to other companies previously, but they never gave me the warm fuzzy feeling that they were selling you the right solution.

Jon visited and instantly it felt different. The requirements were discussed and different options were considered within the systems they offered (multiple vendors). Jon also pointed out ways they could add additional panels within the space confines, that no one else had done.

The install came and they were tidy and friendly making sure I was involved in any decisions.

Queries about working with Octopus IOG and charging an EV were discussed with multiple options presented. It showed they were keen to use their knowledge and experience to help everybody.

There was one issue with the Gateway setup but that was rectified and I was even called the day after on Good Friday to check everything was working.

Found the team online. Spoke to Jon initially who was very professional and did not at all make me feel pressured to go with them. Offered a system who I fit my home needs, great value for money, whole process moved very well, initial glitch after install but quickly rectified, issue was not from installation. Jack has also been very great and helped smooth out the rest of the process… would highly recommend Greenstar

I recently had Greenstar Solar install a complete solar system, including panels and a Sigenergy battery, and I am absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. Before making a decision, I did a massive amount of research and compared several companies, but Greenstar stood head and shoulders above the rest.
From the very beginning, the sales process was straightforward and honest. They offered realistic pricing, a fantastic choice of systems, and access to the latest equipment on the market. The installation itself was incredibly quick and efficient. Every member of the staff we dealt with was friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful.
The handover process was thorough, and our new system is working flawlessly. What really gives us peace of mind is their excellent after-sales support - it’s great to know they are still there to help even after the job is finished. If you are looking for a reliable, fairly priced, and professional solar installer, I can't recommend Greenstar Solar enough.

I recently chose Greenstar for the installation of my solar panels and Goodwe home battery system, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

The solar industry can feel like a bit of a minefield, but with the faster return on investment—especially now that I have an EV—I felt it was the right time to move forward. To truly benefit from EV tariffs, having a home battery is essential so I could avoid the higher standard rates that accompany them.

Before making a decision, I did extensive research and received quotes from five companies, including 2 large energy companies. What set Greenstar apart immediately was that they were the only company to carry out an in-person visit for the quote. Jon is a credit to the company, he was extremely professional, focussing only on the best solution for me and pricing was transparent. That personal touch made along with a very competitive price made a big difference and gave me confidence right from the start, especially given the scale of the investment.

The installation process itself was excellent. The scaffolding and panel installation were handled professionally and efficiently, and everything was completed to a high standard. The post-installation support has also been very strong. There was a minor issue with one of the components, but Greenstar took ownership and worked with GoodWe to have it resolved the very next day, which was impressive.

It’s now been about a month since the system was installed, and everything is running smoothly. The app is intuitive and makes it easy to monitor battery status, household consumption, and grid usage. I’m already seeing a clear positive impact on my daily energy usage and export credits, that supports the repayment period being aligned to their proposal.

If I were to offer a minor piece of constructive feedback, it would be around customer continuity. At times it felt like I interacted with multiple people throughout the process. While I understand this can be unavoidable given different roles within the company, having a single consistent point of contact would enhance the experience even further. That said, this doesn’t take away from what has been a 5-star experience overall. Every individual I dealt with still provided excellent service, and I would highly recommend Greenstar to anyone considering solar and battery installation!

I had a number of quotes from different companies but Greenstar Solar really took the time to go through my needs face to face. I decided to go with their quote becasue of theor approach and the whole thing went brilliantly from start to end. We hit a few problems during the install due to my old home but the electrical team worked really hard to ensure the result I had asked for achieved. Once the install was complete the aftercare has been first class. I was interested in linking the system with home automation so they put me in touch with another user who has done something similar ... going above and beyond! Really happy with every stage of this install and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who appreciates the personal touch.

The whole Greenstar team were great to work with, all very helpful. My solar system's planning, explanation, install and aftercare were all completed to a high standard, and all queries or small issues were addressed quickly and fully. Thanks to the whole team for a great job!

No hard sell, clear explanation of the product and cost, a complete breakdown of the potential savings that could be made and an efficient installation.

My connection to the "grid" was problematic but no fault of Greenstar, and they provided me with all of the paperwork in advance and it was my energy provider that was at fault here.

If anything, Greenstar went over and beyond what I would expect from any company.

Greenstar Solar has been very approachable and hands-on in getting my solar installation up and running. Craig has been available to answer questions and is very good at talking me through them. I'm delighted with my whole experience, and would happily recommend their services.

From start to finish the people from Greenstar were polite, informative, knowledgeable and most definitely not pushy or applying any pressure on me to have them supply solar panels. The work was to the highest standard, checking that I was happy with anything they were doing, at the end of the work, I inspected both the inside and outside of the roof, perfect. No mess, no shortcuts and nothing put into my rubbish bins. I would be happy to highly recommend Greenstar to anyone without hesitation.

Very impressed with Greenstar. Initially Jon was my contact he visited and quoted for the job. I'd had several other companies quote over the years but I felt that he was honest and helpful and genuinely wanted to give a good job at a reasonable price. He even offered to clear my garage on the day of installation! That would just have been too embarrasing. The fitting team were incredibly hard working, the 19 panels were in place with any interference, all completed and tidied up in one day.
After that Craig took over assisting setting up and getting on the right tarriff, I couldn't have done it without him.

The team at Greenstar came across as being a friendly, customer-focussed firm right from the start. Unlike many companies, they made time to do a visit in person to discuss my needs.

As a fairly technical person myself, I enjoyed the opportunity to describe what I was trying to achieve and to be given a number of options with advice over which they felt would be better.

I then felt well looked after throughout the install, with the team leaving my house in a very neat state afterwards (I found one discarded zip tie!!)

The initial install didn’t go well, but I can’t blame Greenstar for the 40mph winds which prevented the panels going up! They were great with the communication working out when they could revisit and finish the job.

My solar installation stopped working so I called Greenstar Solar who happily sent an electrician to my house within days to diagnose the issue. They found a faulty switch which they did not have on the van, so the engineer popped back out for 30 minuets to get a new one and installed it. My system is now up and running without issue. The engineer took only one hour to diagnose the issue, get a replacement and fix it.

Excellent solar / battery installation company. Had 9.5kW of solar + 24kW of battery installed. Greenstar were never pushy and always happy to answer my questions and accommodate my installation requests. Their handover and commissioning procedure was very welcome as we walked through setting up the app to get the best out of a tou tariff. Would (and will) definitely recommend.

What a change to find a company who understand the importance of customer care, professionalism and communication!. When we started on our solar journey we knew very little about it all but fortunately we found ourselves in the hands of Greenstar Solar. They were immediately very helpful and informative but with never a hint of hard sell. On the first visit, by Jon, we were given a detailed explanation of current solar technology, how it could benefit us and what our options were. This was followed up within 48 hours by a detailed but easily understandable quotation with a number of alternative solutions. Once we made a decision the process was very easy, very smooth and very well organised, and included an on-site pre-installation survey. The installation went really well and we now have a 16 panel system with 8kW battery storage and, even before we start feeding energy back to the supply grid, we can already see savings on our energy costs. A great investment that cost less than we’d expected. Our sincere thanks to Tobias, Craig, Jon, Jack and, in particular, to Anthony and Arthur, who carried out the installation quickly and cheerfully and left everything neat and tidy. 10 out of 10 Greenstar – well deserved.
