A great experience to rent a studio in Leicester
We had a great experience working with Haroon when renting our studio. He was extremely helpful, professional, and responsive throughout the whole process. He helped us with the tenancy agreement, communicated with the landlord, and resolved any issues efficiently.
Although we encountered some difficulties during the payment process, he was always there to help and patiently supported us until everything was sorted out. Thanks to his help, we were able to secure the property and complete the contract smoothly and quickly. We really appreciate all his support and would definitely recommend his service!

I am writing this to warn other renters…
I am writing this to warn other renters about the shocking misconduct, dishonest behavior, and complete lack of professional duty of care from Greenwood Lettings, working alongside Choice Real Estate and the landlord.
We found a self-contained one-bedroom flat on Zoopla and contacted Haroon from Greenwood Lettings. We relied entirely on his guidance to secure the home. Haroon was operating from Pakistan and put us directly in contact with the landlord. However, on the day of signing, a "sham lodging agreement" was used to completely misrepresent our statutory housing rights for a fully self-contained property.
When we learned the difference between these two contracts and raised it with Haroon, he kept us waiting and refused to protect our rights (it has been two months now). He deliberately sided with the landlord because he manages and works on the landlord's other properties, prioritizing his own business interests over consumer safety. He claimed he acted only as a "sourcing agent" and that whatever happened next was between us and the landlord. In reality, a sourcing agent has a strict professional responsibility to ensure compliance with financial arrangements, proper contract reviews, and health and safety standards.
Furthermore, Choice Real Estate withheld £600 in prohibited, non-refundable fees in direct breach of the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and completely failed to protect our full security deposit in a government scheme within the mandatory 30 days (protecting only £1,150 out of the £1,750 paid). We communicated all of this to Haroon to resolve as our initial point of contact.
The moment we politely queried these financial irregularities and reported severe health and safety defects (including a dangerously boiling hot water supply), Choice Real Estate and the landlord turned extremely hostile. They immediately retaliated by issuing an invalid 26-day eviction letter, falsely alleging immigration issues, and cutting off our contracted internet access. Most seriously, despite previously claiming they were "only sourcing agents" who could not get involved, Haroon has now sent written text messages threatening that we need to vacate by 5 September because all vital utility services (gas, electricity, and water) will be isolated—which is a severe criminal offense under the Protection from Eviction Act 1977. Furthermore they have also put the property as immediately available on zoopla.
They are doing this knowing I am navigating a high-risk pregnancy on strict medical bed rest. I will be informing senior management about his conduct and also escalate this matter with relevant authorities. These Terrible companies with zero ethics needs to be reported. Avoid them completely!
