Extremely convenient
The convenience of creating a new reservation, managing/finalizing the reservation, picking up, and dropping off was wonderful. Far easier than any process in the States.

Great company
Great car and AC worked great. They were very accommodating as our flight was delayed. On arrival to airport someone was there to greet us as take us to our car, even helped us load our luggage. People have said they had extra charges afterward which didn’t happen to us tho we did take care to clean out the car before drop off. One of the few places where we were able to pick up the car at the airport which was a huge bonus.

Wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. As soon as we arrived a young lady was waiting for us with a sign from Gumbsie Rental. We felt like VIP's. She was extremely pleasant. We completed the walk around of the vehicle and paperwork. Then to our suprise Mr. Gumbsie pulled up and greeted us. He asked how we were and if we need anything let him know. Excellent service and vehicles
I was met at the ferry terminal upon arrival, welcomed and given an almost brand new vehicle. It performed wonderfully and was quite comfortable for my large frame.
I wouldn't hesitate to choose them again upon my return to the island, and strongly recommend Gumbsie's to others seeking reliable transportation while enjoying Anguilla.

Gumbsie was fantastic!
Gumbsie was fantastic! As soon as we got off the ferry to Anguilla there was someone waiting for us from Gumbsie. About five minutes later a nice lady took us to our rental. They said our car was not ready yet and they immediately set us up with another car so we could start our vacation! They were very accommodating and even came to our hotel to swap cars out to our original vehicle when it was ready. I need to mention the only problem we had because we were very pleased with how Gumbsie handled it.
During our rental we were doing some sight seeing on the island and when we returned to the car it would not start. I was able to contact a lady at Gumbsie who helped us get the car started. Gumbsie thought the problem was a bad battery in the key fob so they brought one out the next day. This still did not fix the issue so Gumbsie had another car delivered within minutes! They are courteous and professional and we would use Gumbsie again in the future.
A side note... My wife left her reading glasses in the first rental and we had to go to Gumbsie Rental to pick them up. We believe we met Mr Gumbsie himself... a nice man who helped with my wife's glasses as well!

I rented a car for a weekend in…
I rented a car for a weekend in Anguilla and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The booking process was quick and smooth, and the staff was very professional and responsive.
The car was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for getting around the island comfortably. Pickup and drop-off were super convenient, especially near the ferry terminal.
What I really appreciated was how friendly and helpful the team was. They made everything easy and stress-free, which is exactly what you want for a short stay.

Highly recommend! We were met at the airport by a lovely lady with the car and returned it to the ferry, hassle free! I was nervous about just leaving the car but I took a picture and sent it to them and had zero issues. The car was new, clean and everything was perfect.

Nice and easy!
We rented a very nice SUV from Gumbsie’s. Pick up and drop off were a breeze, and they were easy to reach when we needed to extend the rental for a couple of days. We absolutely would rent from Gumbsie’s again!

Completetly negative experience
Completely negative experience, I have been overcharged with out authorization
I rented for my parents, I have been talking through email attaching every detail. When my parents arrived, they called me because they did not speak English, I Arranged a return time by the phone, they modified the pick up, but not the return, charging one incremental day, that was not agreed at all, not even that the amount was not authorized. Not a company to trust, they took advantage of 2 retired people that did not speak English.

All charges processed reflect the agreed rental duration.

Unfortunately, we had a negative experience. We were promised a large van for our party which was changed the day we arrived. We were, instead, given 2 cars and charged extra. We were offered a flexible return time, but when the return day arrived we selected late afternoon and they then called to say to return immediately because someone else rented our car. We were then charged $50 for a “dirty car” which meant, what we considered, very minimal sand in the backseat. For context, we rented 6 cars in St Martin over a 4 month time period and never charged extra and returned them all in the same condition. I would not rent from Gumbsie again. We loved Anguilla! But I would avoid this car rental company.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations.
The reservation for a 10 seater van was made by a member of your party one day prior to arrival. Due to a last minute extension by another guest, we were unable to provide the 10 seater and instead offered a full refund or a 7 seater vehicle with a partial refund. This option was accepted by your party’s booker, who chose to proceed with the 7 seater and an additional vehicle. As a gesture of goodwill, we also applied a discount to the additional car and provided a complimentary upgrade.
On the day of return, your booking was scheduled for 1pm. At 12:30pm, your party contacted us requesting a later return. We advised that the 7 seater had already been reserved for another guest arriving at 3pm. To accommodate your request, we offered a 5 seater vehicle for the additional time, however this option was declined and the 7 seater was retained until 3:30pm.
This extension unfortunately impacted the next guest, resulting in a similar situation to the one your party initially experienced.
In relation to the cleaning fee, our policy on vehicle condition is clearly outlined at the time of booking. As we maintain a fleet of new and well maintained vehicles for car rental in Anguilla, additional cleaning charges may apply where required.
We remain committed to providing transparent, fair, and reliable car hire in Anguilla, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify these points.
