I ordered a 1000GBP motherboard advertised as new. The item arrived in gray cardboard packaging that was very tightly wrapped around the USED motherboard; one corner of the motherboard PCB was bent and chipped. The motherboard was dirty with thermal compound, both the socket and RAM slots. So it was USED and DAMAGED as packed suboptimally.

Sadly I cannot recommend the company at all. I had an urgent order for three SSDs. I had trouble getting answers to my questions and it took ages to place the order. Eventually I did manage to order the drives, which were shown as "in stock" and they were scheduled to be delivered next day (10th December 2025). They did not arrive and I got no notification that they were delayed until I chased the company on 15th December and was told there had been a delay at UK customs but the order "would definitely be delivered today or tomorrow". They did not arrive!
I tried chasing again on the 18th December but the chatbot kept telling me it would check the discount and availability so I phoned Camilla, the salesperson that had emailed me a few days ago. She promised to check and call me back. I did not get a call back but did get a tracking code from Sarah via an email. That showed that the goods were still in California!
The drives eventually got delivered after Christmas, too late to be deployed on the visit by the technician to the server.

They provided all the items requested in a timely manner. They were very helpful and communicated with me by email and by phone when there was an issue with my order, and addressed the issue promptly.

Sam was very professional in helping me throughout the process of me purchasing of my SSD stick. Very patient in answering my questions with honesty but not trying to just sell me a product.
HE was also very supportive in contacting me to keep me updated with product availability and costing which left me feeling I was in trusted hands.

Harry at Hard Disk Direct gave me advice on extra memory to choose for my laptop, including on compatible memory that cost a bit less. The memory arrived in a couple of days and has immediately speeded up my laptop. Thank you!

They do ship from the US quite often so it can take a few days for delivery

Learn from my experience and trust the 1 star reviews citing failure to deliver. Strongly suspect the 5 stars are paid for.

Thought the price was too good to be true but did a bit of research and figured it was used ram so maybe about right.

Turns out it never existed in the first place and I suspect this was a bait and switch designed to push me into higher priced RAM.

Wasted a week waiting on something that was never going to arrive.

We had a very disappointing experience with this supplier. The HDD was delivered after a significant delay, which already impacted our project timeline. Unfortunately, the situation worsened when the item supplied was found to be faulty and incompatible for its intended enterprise use.

During installation, the drive failed and triggered system errors indicating firmware or compatibility issues. Additionally, physical inspection showed visible signs of prior use, which is unacceptable for hardware supplied as new—especially for a critical production environment.

Due to the combination of late delivery, poor quality, and lack of reliability, we have lost confidence in this supplier and cannot recommend them for enterprise hardware procurement.
