Harrow Fencing have just completed replacing both sides of my fence and the back, so a big job. I am over the moon with their work, the quality of the fencing and gate and the price.

The fencing repairs were done efficiently and well and I would use them again if I needed more work done. However this company is let down by its customer service. They do everything by email. It's difficult to get hold of them by phone and voicemail messages to them don't produce any call back. Though when you do succeed in speaking to a person they are helpful.

I have had good work done by Harrow fencing in the past but now need a replacement for my garden gate. I sent them an e-mail three days ago. No reply. Phoned them two days ago. Their call answering system puts you in a loop and you have to repeat processes. In the end, nobody answered. The same thing happened today. This is very poor customer service which disappointing as they have been good in the past.

Terrible customer service, stay away.

“After four months waiting they finally did my fences. The work was okay but When they finished, on the way out of my house they messed up the slabs on my gangway and driveway quite badly, pouring concrete on the slabs. I emailed and called them number of times and send them pictures of the mes they have made, requesting them to clean it. They send somebody to asses on a rainy day but as concrete stains cannot be seen when wet he could not see it. No matter how hard I tried with the guy showing the pictures and explaining why he could not see them at that moment he did not listen. He was not very polite and totally ignored the pictures I had taken the day before. I felt bullied if I am honest. How can someone just ignore the evidence so shamelessly and ignore the facts is beyond me. I begged him to come back that afternoon or the next day when the rain had stopped and all is dried, but he didn't accept continued to repeat the same thing and ignored the pictures: I can't see anything right now! I was so upset that someone who called himself the best fencer and bricklayer in the UK(!) Didn't know that concrete stain on slabs cannot be seen if it’s wet. He called his boss and said he didn't see anything wrong. I called back send pictures again they ignored me. I beg them to send somebody to see the slabs on a dry day but I was ignored. The only thing they said was go and complain to the ombudsman. If you don't pay we take down the fences! Now we have to have it professionally cleaned ourselves. Very unprofessional. Also, I paid over £3000 for my fences and they neither give me a receipt for my payment or a warranty. Unreal.

This company is a complete letdown. They came to fix my neighbour's fence. They were unable to repair it from his side so I allowed them to do so from my garden. They replaced a number of panels without using any gravel boards. His replacement fence will last for 5-7 years before rotting and collapsing, which will also affect us too. However, at the time their manager came to assess my neighbour's fence I asked for a quote to repair my own fence which they duly gave. After waiting several months for service eventually a man came. He looked at the job and five minutes later returned to rudely announce that it couldn't be done for their quote was now 6 months out of date (because they kept me waiting) and the job was too hard and a new quote would have to be done. He promptly drove off. I heard nothing more from this company but I wouldn't use them anyway now. My builder was on site, heard the rude man, and decided he would get the work done, which he has duly done. I wouldn't ever allow this company back on my land.
