Hazel Hurdle World Reviews 

I spent over £200 on fencing over a month ago, to arrive when my builder was here. There is no response to enquiries except one email saying goods damaged in transit so resending " in the next few days" that was about 10 days ago. This is APPALLING and I have sent them a 'before legal action' email...to which of course they also haven't responded. AVOID this company if you ever want to see your fencing which I will now ( 64 year old thankfully in good health woman) have to fit myself due to the late delivery.

Waited 2 days short of a month for the order to appear... after paying nearly £700 online - without knowledge at ordering the product was either never in stock or possibly never existed at all.

Was promised 3 dispatch dates which came and went, the last one after being promised it would arrive in 5 days time. Never received any tracking slips or notifications from couriers, so im not even sure the product got to them, even tho one of the reasons of it not arriving was " it was damaged"

This firm is very difficult to get in contact with or getting honest answers from. After realising the 7-10 days delivery estimation was not happening i called and emailed and after looking again at the website and the suspiciously prolific use of AI in copy writing an image generation, and then realising the business address was a shell company/ postal only multiple business address in Shoreditch i started to think id been properly scammed....

However i did speak to someone in the office on about 30% of the times i tried calling, and some emails did get answered so i dont think its a pure bot scam.... but im still genuinely unsure if they even sell hazel hurdles partly as enquiries on where they are made and where the "warehouse" is, as sure as hell its not in shoreditch! went unanswered.

At one stage i pleaded with them to just be honest if they could not fulfil this order- and explained we are a small non profit play landscape company making a garden for children in a school for kids with SEND. I understand lead times can change, i understand the struggle of running a small business but this is no way to run one- trolling customers after taking money upfront.

Ive asked for a refund - got no response to that.

Will keep this review updated as to when we do. There is no compensation however for the delay in delivering the project, the time spent emailing and calling, the placating of the client that its not finished yet, the crew on site to receive and install the panels. Please beware of this firm!

Order never arrived despite three promised dispatch dates. Last email claimed the order had been dispatched but we have checked with the courier they claim to be using and they have no orders in my name pending delivery. Refund requested but not actioned. Thankfully I paid by AmEx who have disputed the charge and refunded me. Wish I’d checked reviews before ordering with these people as this is clearly a regular experience with them.

It is 2 days short of a month since I ordered a hurdle but nothing has arrived. I have emailed and called several times. I did get through once and was asked if the hurdle could have been left somewhere. We have cctv so we would know if it had been delivered. They said they would chase it with DX but no response since and not answering phone or emails

I ordered 14 6x6 hazel hurdle and the quality was fantastic. They are very well built and I’m so happy with them.

I found the service very easy and friendly and although delivery was slightly delayed due to it being a very busy time of year I am absolutely over the moon.

We have used the hazel hurdles and posts in our Scout site woodland classroom and they look fantastic and are amazing quality. We did have an issue with delayed delivery but when we explained the urgency (we have a volunteer group coming to site to erect them) HHW did everything needed to ensure that they reached us on time. They were good at responding to emails and calls and keeping me informed.

Still waiting for our order placed 26/04/26 a month of waiting, being told they would be delivered next week, then the next week. Emailed saying order had been returned by courier as damaged ~ which is fine if they are.
Assured they would be delivered this week however no delivery, no answer to my email. Very frustrating!!!! HHW please sort my order out.

I ordered a 6x5 ft hurdle over a week ago. Apart from accepting my payment there has been no further communication, no reply to emails, no answering phone calls, it just rings out. Seriously disappointed.

Excellent quality hurdles and solid and chunky. and the delivery driver was extremely friendly and helpful. would recommend and use again.

I'm giving a 5 star here because the product is really well made and exactly what I wanted as well as the fact that I got quick, polite, and human response to my queries.

I also changed my mind on the order several times, adding additional panels, changing some from Hazel to Willow, etc.

The delivery was slightly delayed, but I don't have a problem with this because these are hand made products after all.

In the modern age of entitlement and instant gratification, I would encourage everyone to slow down just a bit.

Must be going out of business. I have been waiting for an order for 6 months and they rarely reply to emails and don't answer the phone.

I wanted to use a smaller, more independent business and came across this company. I thought I would order one panel to begin with, with the idea of buying the rest of the fence after I had checked the quality of the 1st panel.

Unfortunately after chasing the company twice, (on the website they claimed 5-7 day delivery) with poor excuses as their replies, they cancelled my order and refunded me. They claimed they couldn't fulfill my order... 1 panel. Hmm okay.
I've brought my fencing from elsewhere now.

They only get 2 stars as I got my money back and did email but only after I had chased them.

I ordered 2ft high willow panels for around my veg patch and i must say they look beautiful now my gardener has installed them.

I would rate them 5 for customer service, 5 for quality and finally 5 overall.

I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend.

The products are very sturdy and well made and i love them.

I had an issue with ordering the incorrect size which was completely my fault. The company is extremely easy to deal with and very knowledgable and friendly.

Would definitely recommend and use again.

Overall very very happy with the transaction with them.

An update to my previous review of Hazel Hurdle World. I eventually got a call from HHW, but not to advise me re: delivery of the panel I had ordered, they were just upset that I'd written a 1 star review. During the call I was told that the delivery problems were not their's but the fault of the couriers. I reminded them that their commitment to their customers didn't stop the moment the product leaves them but when the customer receives the product. Couriers, as we all know, are a bit of a lottery but as businesses rely more and more on them to fulfil their orders they have to put more effort into paring with a good delivery service - even if that means charging the customer a bit more. Anyway, in a farcical turn of events the hurdle panel wasn't delivered to our house but dumped at the Village Hall in our village without any notification. This I admit is completely out of the hands of the supplier and I'm not blaming them for this, I blame the couriers (who were DX). The panel was also damaged and I suspect this was down to the fact that it was neither wrapped or protected in any way, especially at the corners. Anyway and ironically after all the problems and lack of customer service, the hurdle panel supplied by HHW is really lovely and made with care and craftsmanship. HHW are a family business and on speaking to them seem like nice people. They have said they will definitely look into improving their customer service and will be finding a new courier service. They have also offered us a full refund (which we have declined). Reviews are not simply about complaining, they are a way for small businesses to improve the service they offer which in turn will lead to more orders. And yes I would order from HHW again.

The two hurdles I ordered took a month to arrive, with no communication from the company other than when I initiated queries. Unfortunately there were no packing materials round the hurdles, just straps, and while one hurdle is of good sturdy quality, the other was damaged in transit leaving ragged unbound ends.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Hazel Hurdle World and cannot recommend their service.

Firstly, the delivery of my order was significantly delayed, and there was no proactive communication or updates from the company. I had to repeatedly chase them for information, only to receive vague and unhelpful responses. This lack of communication added unnecessary stress.

When the order finally arrived, it was incomplete. This was completely unacceptable and caused further delays while I waited for the missing items. It was clear there was a lack of organization and care in processing my order.

Reliable delivery and clear communication are basic expectations when placing an order, but unfortunately, Hazel Hurdle World fell far short of these standards. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I would urge others to think twice before ordering from this company.

I received my panels promptly and they were all in excellent condition. Very high quality and well constructed.

They look fantastic around my newly built patio area comprising of 14 4ft highhazel panels.

Overall i am very pleased with both the product and the customer service and would recomend them.

We ordered three panels which unfortunately after 6 weeks had not arrived. It was not easy to get in contact with HHW however once I had done so they did process a refund without quibbling.

Sadly not the service I expected, but I ordered 5 Hazel fence panels and from day one had to chase for a delivery date, eight weeks later, multiple phone calls and emails I still hadn’t received my product.

I found it extremely difficult to contact the company to get progress updates and this in the end and after much trying led me to cancel my order. Sadly the company only contacted and made responses to my request for a refund after I contacted my bank and reported them and after I left a review on Trust pilot.

Sadly the company seemed more concerned about my Trust pilot review than my experience as a customer.
I get it that small businesses can experiences difficulties but if they can’t complete orders they shouldn’t take more until the issue is resolved. The company finally admitted they were having some unexpected issues which led to delays. But in the end approx 8 weeks and the frustration led me to cancel.

If the company had communicated promptly and openly from The outset I could understand. Initially I thought I’d been scammed as the communication was that bad and no one expects to wait that long for a product.

All of this is a shame as I’m also a small company and had ordered the panels for a client, due to the delay I lost their business. However I kept in contact with my client and apologised for the delay but they unfortunately had to go else were. Again it’s a shame as some reviews for Hazel Hurdle World looked great and I really liked the idea of supporting a small company of craftsman, but was sadly let down

I hope they managed to sort things out as the product does look outstanding. But for me my journey with this company is at an end.
