Do not use for a prenup
Instructed the firm for a prenup in April for a wedding in July, didn't receive the first draft until June, 5 weeks before the wedding. The draft was rife with basic mistakes, including our names, which meant my partner's lawyer also had to spend extra time to correct the mistakes throughout. Partner's lawyer also had to reword a lot of the clauses, which the Hegarty lawyer said they're just being cautious (so why are we not cautious with wording in the first place!?)
Hegarty's lawyer kept trying to push that prenups signed within 28 days of the wedding is still fine even though the English law is based on precedent. At this point I didn't have a choice. The back and forth between lawyers obviously needed time and the executed prenup was signed the day before the wedding so yes whilst this is a legal agreement, I think there is very little legal standing if I ever need to use this in court.
I was also quoted around £2000-£3000, ended up being well over £4000. The work done didn't feel like it was worth the amount paid, whereas my partner's lawyer was spot on with their estimate.
I was not a fan of the communication overall and would not recommend.
