Rented the Hilotherm machine with the lower face mask to aid with my lower jaw surgery recovery and it was the best decision I’ve made.

The bruising and the swelling after lower jaw surgery made it quite uncomfortable but having the cold mask on my hot swollen face made it so much more bearable.

The recovery process following my husbands jaw surgery was sop good with this device, it made him so much more comfortable and reduced the swelling. we extended the rental period twice.
we saw the surgeon 2 weeks after his surgery and he was so impressed with how much the swelling had gone down

I am certain that without the Hilotherm machine recovery following lower jaw surgery would have been far longer and uncomfortable - we don't know what we would have done without it!

The delivery company mixed up my address and hence they wouldn’t deliver the device I ordered for my daughter. I rang Hilotherm and the most helpful man confirmed that another device was going to be personally delivered by themselves. Fantastic service and the device is amazing for daughter had maxi facial surgery. I’ve used this company twice now and can’t recommend them more highly.

I can’t give enough praise to the Hilotherm team for both the equipment and the service received. I hired the HTP1 device which has hugely reduced the swelling and made the initial recovery of a partial knee replacement so much more comfortable.
I was amazed at the speed of receiving the equipment, delivered in less than 24hrs of ordering and with simple instructions to operate.
Alongside all of this, when in correspondence with the Hilotherm team they asked about my recovery each time. Truly personal service which I’ve really valued. Thank you so much!

Hired machine following my mother's second knee replacement. Results were amazing and recovery rate exceptional compared to previously using ice packs. At 82 years of age there was reduced swelling and she was walking without crutches within a week. Can't recommend enough. Previous comments mention the price....for the results achieved I think it is excellent value for money. Ordered over the phone, fantastic customer service and delivered in time. Thank you

Great customer service, however the face mask itself was uncomfortable to wear. I rented the HTP1 with lower face mask for a week following jaw surgery, and only used it for the first 3 nights. It did help cool my face and to sleep those nights, but the section that goes across the philtrum would dig in, the straps were so fiddly and uncomfortable, and the bottom part of the mask was way too big for my face. The smell of the plastic mask and the way I had to wear it ended up making me feel quite claustrophobic and unwell. It would be great if masks came in different sizes and it was easier to choose the mask type on ordering. I think if you could wear it more like a face mask where you hook it behind your ears, that would be better.

I used the hilotherm after recommendation from my surgeon. I had jaw surgery on my upper jaw 3 years ago and did not have the hilotherm. I recently had the screws and plates removed from the jaw, I used the hilotherm to help with this recovery. It was the most amazing piece of equipment to help with the recovery, it was very soothing to help sleep and really helped bring the bruising out quicker and reducing swelling. After experiencing a surgery with and without this, I would definitely tell anyone to use this! The company made the delivery and collection so easy for least stress!

Hired the machine after having double jaw surgery and it has been a life saver! The pain and swelling was reduced massively when wearing this machine and so I tried to wear it as often as I could. Times where I couldn’t wear the mask I was soon wishing to be back wearing it! It is expensive but very much worth the money as I believe I would not have recovered so quickly if it wasn’t for this machine.

We were recommended to hire a Hilotherm machine from our hospital consultant to help my son after reconstructive jaw surgery. After the initial shock of the expense we agreed that we would do whatever we could to support his recovery. The initial ordering of the machine was very easy via the website. The communication from Hilotherm from the minute the order went through was fantastic right up until when the machine was collected when we received nothing! The machine itself worked well and seemed beneficial to help with swelling, although we have nothing to compare it to. Despite this we would recommend it. The only negative is that once the machine was collected by DPD we received nothing from Hilotherm to confirm they were in receipt of the machine and that it had been received back in to their stock or that our deposit had been refunded. After the many emails we received right up until this point I was a little disappointed and worried that we may not have got our deposit returned. Overall it was a good service.

From the outset, the service has been outstanding. We are not natural internet users, so being able to book delivery, pay for the initial rental, the renewal, and return though prompt excellent helpful service has been wonderful

It's not cheap but it is worth it! Easy to set up, no more journeys to the freezer and, most importantly, it really reduces the discomfort and swelling.

My daughter used this after her ACL injury for a few weeks and then post her operation for a few months. She plays for Aston Villa Football Academy and thanks to using this machine it quickly reduced her swelling and enabled her to sleep better at night. I would highly recommend this machine.
