I've had a Months of faults and now being passed to a third partysolar and battery system on…
I've had a solar and battery system on a Hometree Finance plan, installed through their installer Emerald Solar, and it has been one issue after another since installation.
First, the system didn't export to the grid, and that took 4–5 months to sort out. As soon as it was fixed in May, the batteries stopped charging overnight, even though overnight charging had worked fine before. Hometree's own support team suggested that the fix may have knocked the system out of sync.
I raised this in early September. After nearly three weeks of back-and-forth, Hometree told me the system is "working" because the batteries charge between 12pm and 6pm, which isn't how it was set up to work. They then told me to contact Levelise, a unit that was fitted as part of the original installation, which I have no agreement with and don't pay. Meanwhile, I pay Hometree over £110 every month for this system.
The support staff are polite, but the problem gets passed between Hometree, the installer and a third party, and nobody takes ownership. I've now had to raise a formal complaint. I'd think carefully before taking out a solar plan with Hometree.

The outstanding issue requires support from Levelise, whose equipment falls outside your Hometree agreement. This limits what we can resolve directly, but we understand why being referred to another provider is frustrating, particularly given your experience so far.
