Platform doesn't work properly :(
Homie was recommended by a close friend which had a wonderful experience, so I was very excited to try it out. Although the concept is great, my experience, unfortunately, was far from it. My homie was always very nice, but the turnover of searches was quite slow. Be aware that the do high quality/high price properties - just in case you're looking for something on a budget.
When I tried booking for a tour it asked me to pay, because you need to pay a one time fee for your first tour booking and then you don't pay for any more tours going forward. Being in digital product myself, I found this to be very misleading - as I got charged right away - but then it turned out that they needed to check with the landlord first upon making the booking for a viewing. So I was charged, and then they let me know the property wasn't available... very poor experience. I was a bit annoyed.
Later on, I decided to proceed looking for properties on other apps, which was more efficient. I tried to book a tour again, but had the same problems. My only problem really is towards the digital product / platform which I think could do a lot of improvements on the UX! After I decided to go with another app, I asked to get a refund because I never managed to book a tour. I had to ask 3 times, in a space of 1 week and I still haven't received my money back. I am usually a very patient person, but I think that waiting time was too high - because now I will not recommend it to anyone. Hopefully the UX improves!
