When you get an Honest Quote you will only get a single quote, but we can promise it will be the right one.

Unsolicited call
Had an unsolicited phone call regarding solar panels. When I said not interested, they just put the phone down. A bit rude.

Sadly at the end of the day the representative from Honest Quotes who could not have tried harder to accommodate us had to pass us on to another company who could travel to our island home.
I was very sad not to be able to use them.

Still being pestered
Complained about being pestered by text, phone calls etc. Company replied that I had been unsubscribed and would no longer receive calls etc - this was in the last week of February but hey presto still receive another message on 02/03/2023 with a link to confirm interest etc. Very dodgy and dishonest practice - perhaps they think I am senile and will cave in. I won’t. Please get this simple message.

Had an appointment booked which suddenly got cancelled because I questioned how long it was going to take. I was told that my husband and I had to be in attendance otherwise they could not come around and then they insisted that the appointment lasted exactly 90 minutes. When I asked why I didn't really get an answer. Next thing I know is that I receive an email cancelling the appointment. All a bit odd.

Hi,
We’re sorry you had a less than great experience with your appointment. We always ask both members of a household to be present for an appointment in order to ensure that everyone involved in the potential decision to invest in a solar system has the exact same information, so that both people can then make an informed decision together.
We also always let our customers know that your appointment could take up to 90 minutes in order to allow for plenty of time for the rep to explain everything properly and answer any potential questions you may have about your quote. We can only apologise again that this wasn’t communicated clearly to you.
If you would like to rebook your appointment please get back in touch with us via the website and we would be happy to rearrange for you.
Thanks,
Carly.

A waste of time!!!!!
I received an email on 28/02/2023 from Honest Quotes and decided to follow up on the Solar Panels. The next day I received a phone call from EVERGEN SOLAR and decided to go ahead and get a quote. They booked me in for a home visit appt at 1300hrs on 02/03/2023. 1300hrs past and no sign of the EVERGEN SOLAR rep. I received a call at 1340hrs from a EVERGEN SOLAR rep who said he had tried to call, but left no message. (I was in the shower at the time) and he started to try and book me another appt which I turned down, if this is the sort of customer service, I'd be getting from EVERGEN SOLAR then there is no way I would use them to fit my panels or to recommend them to anyone else. What A WASTE OF TIME!!!!

Hi,
Thank your for your review, and we can only apologise that you have had this experience. We here at Honest Quotes try our best to work a network of installers we trust and think will deliver you a great service.
Unfortunately we cannot control the service you receive from our partners once we have connected you with them, however we can only apologise again from ourselves as this is not the kind of experience we want our customers to have.
Thanks,
Carly.
Unsolicited spam
Sent an unsolicited spam email with a Trust Pilot logo alongside 5 Trust Pilot stars, which is evidently a lie based on the current 3 star rating they have here. Trying to unsubscribe fails as well. Do not trust this company.

We can only apologise you have had a negative experience with us and feel the amount of communication we have had with you is more than you would like. We try to engage with our customers in a meaningful way but know that not everyone will be happy with the level of communication they receive.

Peddling lies and misleading,
Peddling lies and misleading,
Exact quote from an email -
“Solar Panel Technology
The newest solar technology has meant that the panels themselves have been drastically improved so you can install smaller panels for more energy output. This means that more households can get larger kwh systems installed on a small roof space. The other improvement is the efficiency of the panels and no longer fully relying on direct sunlight, in fact, modern panels can still generate power on dull UK days.”
1. Solar Panels with a larger wattage rating on them have a larger surface area so putting less bigger panels in or smaller wattage panels with a smaller surface area ends up taking about the same area if a roof
2. Panels do work in daylight but work on receiving radiant heat from the sun so a dull day in the uk means next to no production of energy
Get it right folks, tired of these window salesmen trying to make a quick buck of honest working people during hard financial times

Antwoord van Honest Quotes
Hi,
We have many solar experts working within our business, with decades of experience between them. We take pride in ensuring that we provide our customers with the best knowledge possible to make an informed decision about their potential investment into solar panel systems.
The size of a solar panel is determined more accurately determined by output per square meter, rather than simple physical size. In this sense current gen solar panels are capable of generating over 400W per panel, in comparison to around 200W per panel for almost identical sizes in previous generations, making the system capacity homes can have installed significantly higher than in the past.
Solar panels used for electricity production don’t rely on radiant heat from the sun to generate energy. In fact the hotter there are diminishing returns in terms of efficiency with solar panels the hotter they get. It might be that you were thinking about solar thermal panels which do rely on heat to generate hot water.
We try our hardest to give every one of our customers the best service we can, and we pride ourselves on being able to save our customers energy and money with every solar installation we are able to facilitate, especially during the current energy crisis.
Thanks,
Carly
Zero customer service!
After my appointment was made, I still got sales calls emails and texts everyday. When the sales calls checked they had my details, apologised, then called to sell again the next day!
The ‘expert’ advisor, had no knowledge and really didn’t know what he was doing. I had to ask him to leave, all very embarrassing!

Hi,
We’re very sorry you have had a less than great experience with us.
We are unfortunately having a system issue at present that we are aware of and working hard to fix that is the cause of you unfortunately being contacted multiple times.
We always work diligently with our partners to give you the best experience possible, however we aren’t able to vet the advisors that our partners send to your home. We’re sorry you had a less than ideal experience during your appointment.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, as all feedback we receive helps us to learn and grow, allowing us to improve our customer experience moving forwards.

I cautiously filled in an on line questionnaire, expecting to hear from some dodgy Company and within minutes I was phoned by Honest Quotes. I have to admit that the Agent was excellent and despite quickly discovering that she was unable to meet my requirements, she spent a great deal of time giving me advice based on her obvious depth of knowledge. This was no Dodgy Company and there was no pushing or other waffle, just friendly and knowledgeable advice for which I am extremely grateful. I thoroughly recommend the Company.
