Hope Macaulay is a family-run, woman-owned contemporary luxury fashion brand, founded by textiles designer Hope Macaulay on the beautiful North Coast of Northern Ireland. What began as Hope knitting alone in her bedroom has expanded into a team of 20 skilled knitters working from home across Northern Ireland, helping keep the traditional cottage industry alive. Unable to find pieces to make from other’s knitting patterns, she developed her own method, just by using her hands. The wool is the softest I have ever come across, the colour is as good as the photo on the website. I have wanted one of the colossal knit cardigans for a while and decided to treat myself for Christmas. The issue I have is with the fit. In all clothes I order a small and I did so this time, I’m 173cm, I don’t have exceptionally long arms but this cardigan is only just long enough. I toyed with the idea of exchanging it for the M/L but it will be expensive for the return postage and I was worried about the next size up being overly large. The problem at this price point is the expectation that it will be perfect and it’s not,

This is my third cardigan ( although hubby doesn’t know about the second one ) I love the quality and the colours. It took me a wee while to get used to the weight but just absolutely love every item. Hope the next pop up shop is Glasgow

Customer service dropped a stitch.
I chased re no delivery just kept saying can't get hold of royal mail.
I have asked them to resend its only a bag and a comb th and god not an expensive cardigan.
Royal mail won't talk to me as im not sender.

Unique knits 🧶
This is my third purchase from Hope and my second colossal knit cardigan. I have a plain one so now have multi coloured version. It’s the same design but feels different in so much as the mix of pastel colours showcasing the art of Hope’s unique way of knitting. She has the most talented team of knitters and I love knowing who has knitted each piece. Each of my items has been made by different knitters. All fabulous!

Daydream come true!
Purchased a chunky knit Daydream cardigan as a surprise for our daughter who is a hard working nurse & has longed to own one of these beautiful pieces of knit wear.
