Booked 2 night stay at local Hampton Inn for $292.11. when I went to check out I received the bill at it was only $226.62 with all taxes included. Called hotelbargain.org customer service and got the biggest run around about the pricing structure, added taxes and "sir you don't understand how it works" . I don't need to know how it works, I was overcharged $63.44 and the service rep had no plausible explanation. it sounds like a hidden fee.
Don't be fooled it's a rip of and they will not give money back. IF you have been ripped off to simply call your credit card company and have them reverse the charges. I'm sure you'll get some attention then.
DON"T USE THIS SITE they're SCAM artists

The price was too high.
Cancellation cost me nearly $300.00.
Any review that is positive is from Hotelbargain themselves.
Any other website would be a better selection.
My Story
I logged into the Holiday Inn site and was switch to the Hotelbargain site. I thought I made a reservation with Holliday Inn but instead it was Hotelbargains.com. They attach their web page to the Holiday inn hotel site and stated that the Holiday Inn was not taking reservations directly. Then lead you threw their page as if they were in my case the Holiday Inn. By the time I figured it out I was screw. I lost $256.88 in minutes after I figured it out.
My advice is stay clear of these guys and keep an eye on the top left hand corner of your Computer to see if you went from the hotel you were booking to HOTELBARGAIN.COM

I saw what was apparently a great rate, but when I went to book online, I saw the combined "taxes and fees" were over 20% of the room rate, so I knew there were fees buried in there. Couldn't find any information about booking fees on the site so I called to ask. They would NOT give me a straight answer in response to my asking about booking fees, just saying they didn't know the breakout and tried to get me to book. Fortunately, I did not book the reservation. I called the hotel directly and got the same great rate, but without the fees. Did the math, looks like Hotel Bargain was hiding a $35 non-refundable booking fee. If someone's charging a fee, they need to be upfront about it so people can make an informed choice. Don't book with them!

This site seems a scam: it tricks you into believing that it is getting you the best deal on a hotel room possible and then into prepaying the full amount with any chance of canceling with a full refund. The site charged me $126 more for a 2-night stay @ a Sheraton than Sheraton would have charged me with no prepayment and full refund provision. Orbitz should be ashamed to be associated with this scam operation.

I just reserved a Hotel room through this company quite by accident, when I saw that the room was at a "slight" (using that term loosely), savings I booked, only to realize the "fees" were so astronomical it actually cost me more to book with "hotelbargain.org" and non refundable, I can see why. Thank you so much lesson learned. Oh yes, when I called to better understand the "fees" no one could tell me how much those were.

Cancelled the room immediately after making the reservation (within 5 minutes) and I did not receive a total refund.

I had questions about my reservation and I emailed their customer support. I wanted to make special arrangements for a friend who was sharing the room with me. The customer support person forwarded my request to the hotel and everything worked out great.

I was looking for hotel deals for Las Vegas and found hotelbargain. When I couldn't find a room for the dates I wanted, I called their customer service number and booked a room over the phone.
