I have ordered and received three Mystery boxes (6 bottles in each) and have been very pleased with what I received (including La Poja in two of them and a £50 bottle of Champagne), the wine being well over the cost of what I paid. My only gripe is that two of the boxes were for their discounted subscription and they take the money on the 20th of the month and it is at least a week before it gets despatched. My latest box has still not been despatched a week after they took the money for it. I emailed them last month and they said that they send all subscription boxes out the same day. Well, why can’t that day be a bit closer to when they take the money? Otherwise an affordable way to taste fine wine.

Placed order 10 days ago. No delivery, no updates or messages. Probably a scam site. Will be contacting my bank to chargeback as it doesn't look promising.

Couldn’t find many reviews myself and was nervous when first purchasing. But. Have ordered 2 separate mystery cases from them. Shipping has been good. The quality of wine received has been outstanding - 4 reds, 1 white, 1 sparkling the first time; 2 sparking, 2 reds, 1 white and a sherry second order. Will order again, and for £100-120 for a mystery cases, makes a great gift. Would highly recommend.

Foolishly, after having placed an order, via the Instagram app, I only then checked with Trustpilot to see if there were any reviews.

Upon reading the only review, which was very damning of the company, I immediately tried to stop the transaction with my bank, but couldn’t.

However, I shouldn’t have been bothered, the delivery was made promptly and safely by DHL.

The price and product was exactly as described and I was happy with a great deal.

I cannot comment on the experience of the only other reviewer, which had me concerned, and can only say my experience was completely opposite.

On my experience, I would certainly use the House of Decant again.

Advertise themselves (via instagram) on really good prices but when you add on delivery, makes them more expensive than others. So false advertising on headline prices unless you are buying in bulk
