Deeply disappointed by the lack of integrity and professionalism.
​As a family, we were very excited about this motorhome purchase and trusted Thierry (huurjecamper.nl) to guide us through the process professionally. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a stressful nightmare.
​After paying a €7,500 deposit and proceeding with transport arrangements in good faith, the entire deal collapsed the moment we requested standard legal documentation (ID and a signed contract). Instead of providing professional guidance, the agency suddenly cancelled the sale, citing internal problems with the owner and completely abandoning us.
​This poor management and lack of internal coordination resulted in a €1,100 loss for our family in transport costs, which they now refuse to reimburse. Returning a deposit is a legal obligation, not a sign of good service. It is deeply disappointing to deal with a broker who accepts money but refuses to take any responsibility for the consequences of their poor management. We feel misled and highly advise anyone to be extremely cautious when dealing with this business.

My experience with Huur je Camper and Thierry has been extremely disappointing and risky.

​After agreeing on the terms for purchasing a motorhome, the agency demanded an advance bank transfer of €7,500 without providing a signed contract, seller identification, or legal guarantees to safeguard my funds.

​Following my request for proper legal transparency, the agency cancelled the transaction unilaterally, causing me a direct financial loss of €1,100 in non-refundable transport arrangements. To make matters worse, after cancelling, the broker simply stepped aside to avoid responsibility for the damages, telling me to negotiate directly with the private owner.

​A case has been officially filed with the European Consumer Centre (ECC) regarding the lost transport expenses. I strongly advise potential buyers to be extremely careful when requested to send high advance payments without formal legal protections.
