Icon Surveyors was appointed as the Party Wall surveyor by the property developer next door and agreed to act for me as well, stating "I want to assure you that we will take every precaution to minimise any potential impact on your property." However, after damage occurred - including a retaining wall collapse - I did not receive any assistance or progression of the matter from Icon Surveyors, which left me trying to deal with the situation alone.

When I posted an honest review about my experience, I received a Letter Before Action threatening legal proceedings, which was extremely stressful, especially while also dealing with the property damage at the same time.

I reported the situation to RICS while trying to manage the damage myself.

It is important for potential clients to know that Icon Surveyors is a trading name, and the underlying company is A&A Portfolio Limited (Company No. 13135420). According to public records, the company filed an application in June to be struck off the Companies House register.

I have repeatedly tried to contact Beau Monroe‑Davies, but he has not responded. When I called the office, the receptionist told me: "I am in the office, but he is not in the office. Meaning I, he's not available, so he could be in the office, he might be out, or whatever, it could be anything, but he's not available to take calls."

I have spent thousands of pounds on legal fees trying to get the process back onto a statutory footing because I could not obtain the support I expected from the surveyor who had been appointed. I asked Beau Monroe‑Davies to step aside so that someone else could take over, but this did not happen. Nine months later I am still trapped in statutory limbo - with a Party Wall process that has stalled, and is unable to progress but also unable to be restarted.

I took advantage of Icon's free 15 mins of advice on the phone. Spoke to Karim about my poor experience with another surveyor and the dire situation i'm in as a result of his incompetence.

Karim advised me to call the Federation of Party Wall Surveyors of which my weasel of a surveyor is a member. I followed up on Karim's advice and was given further helpful info by FPWS.

Too bad I didn't appoint Icon instead of the weasel in the first place!

It is not every day you choose a party wall surveyor to protect the fabric of your home, and when I started my search, I had little to go on. However, I noticed Icon Surveyors had a decent track record and considerable experience within the industry. Karim of Icon Surveyors came to my house to do a boundary survey. He introduced himself and explained what his role was and what I could expect from him. He was very professional but friendly, I felt at ease with him as he explained what he was doing the whole time. He listened to me and answered all my questions.
I was extremely satisfied with Karim's work on the day, the report I received and the contact I had with him on the telephone when I needed to ask a question. I would recommend Icon Surveyors and Karim to others.

We used icon survey for our boundary wall survey.
The person who sorted out the report for us needed to be corrected. We mentioned it many times, but he did not listen.
He agreed to change the wording, but we did not accept this as the report was wrong. He incorrectly measured the boundary line. I sent the complaint email to Icon Survey, but they have not replied.
I had to use a different company for the boundary survey again. They used the conveyance plans to determine the boundary line.

Icon Survey's failure to even consider the conveyance plan is a clear indication of their lack of knowledge and expertise, which has left me deeply disappointed.

Please do not use this company; otherwise, you will regret it.

After shopping around, Icon Surveyors were recommended to me by several friends, so I used Icon Surveyors regarding legalities and costs of permissions whilst researching to convert my attic.

I was guided through the complexities with efficiency and immense patience from Icon Surveyors, and even though I decided not to go ahead with the conversion, Icon Surveyors were very understanding, and the costs for their expertise was very reasonable.

Emails ignored. Building owner got away with damaging our boundary wall. Party Wall Act is a waste of time and doesn’t protect adjoining owners.

If ur a company using another surveyor and these guys names are mentioned AVOID at all costs they do not authorise costs they just do the work and issue you huge invoices for the very little work they do avoid at all costs they over charged me x2 then not only my surveyor but also the other parties surveyor and also did not get my surveyors authorisation to start there work they did the work which wasn’t a very big job and over charged by x2 the cost of the other side and the other side had way more work compared to these guys so how did they justify charging 2x more then the other 3rd party surveyor. They demanded payment before the job had even finished and when asked if there was going to be a further charge after payment and before job completion they just avoided the question and threatened to take to courts AVOID AT ALL COSTS especially avoid THIS COMPANY THEY THINK THEY ARE god or something.
