We are very pleased with the support and guidance our daughter has received during her 11 Plus entrance exam preparation. Although she is still preparing for the exam, the tuition has been excellent in providing the right resources and structured materials to help her improve in every topic.

Mr Dabhad has been working alongside one of our residents at Oak Lodge Residential Home for several months now, and the progress has honestly been incredible to witness.

Through consistency, patience, understanding and genuinely adapting teaching methods to suit the individual, our resident has developed ways to communicate their wants, needs and wishes far more effectively than before. For someone who previously struggled to have a voice heard, seeing that confidence and ability grow has been beautiful to see.

The sessions are always calm, respectful and tailored to the person, never rushed or forced. The tutor has built a fantastic relationship based on trust, encouragement and understanding, which has made a huge difference not only educationally, but emotionally and socially too.

As a service, we have seen improvements in engagement, confidence, communication and overall wellbeing. It is rare to find support that genuinely changes quality of life in such a meaningful way, but this absolutely has.

I started tuition in Year 11 and I wasn’t confident in Maths at all. When I started A Level Maths, I found it really hard and I was working at around an E grade.

Since having tuition, my confidence in A Level Maths has improved a lot. The main things that helped were the support, the resources and going through exam questions properly. The lesson packs were already prepared, so the lessons felt organised and useful.

A topic I used to find difficult was parametric differentiation and integration, but after going through it step by step, it started to make more sense. Doing past paper questions also helped me improve my exam technique.

The teaching was effective, supportive and clear. My tutor was patient when I struggled and helped me improve my confidence, understanding, problem-solving, exam technique, organisation, motivation and grades.

The biggest benefit of tuition has been getting help with A Level Maths, preparing for exams and staying motivated. If someone in Year 11 asked me if they should join, I would say go for it.

The lessons are different from school because you get more individual support and more help with the topics you personally find difficult.

Studying with my GCSE Science tutor since Year 10, and later with my A Level Biology and Chemistry tutor - Muhammed has been really beneficial. The lessons helped fill gaps in my understanding, improve my exam technique, and make difficult content much clearer. My tutor was always well prepared, patient, and used practice questions, past papers and real-life examples to help me understand challenging topics such as muscle contraction. I became much more confident and would definitely recommend these lessons to other students.

Before I joined tuition, I didn’t enjoy Maths or Science because I found both subjects difficult and often struggled to understand the content. As a result, I felt unmotivated to complete my work or fully engage in lessons.

When I first started tuition, my main challenges were feeling too shy to ask for help and lacking confidence when working independently. I often doubted my answers, which made it harder to stay focused and make progress.

Since working with my tutor, my confidence has improved significantly. I now feel more motivated to complete my work and more capable of tackling challenging topics. I am also much more comfortable working independently and no longer feel shy about asking for support when I need it.

One of the main reasons for this improvement is the way my tutor explains topics. They break everything down clearly and present content in a way that is much easier for me to understand. They have also introduced me to useful revision techniques that have improved the way I study. In addition, the revision materials provided for independent study at home have helped reinforce my learning and build my confidence further.

A topic I once found very difficult was non-calculator Maths questions. Initially, I struggled to understand the methods and often felt unsure about how to approach them. However, through regular practice and clear guidance from my tutor, my understanding gradually improved, and I am now much more confident when answering these types of questions independently.

I would describe my tutor’s teaching style as organised, adaptable, and supportive. Lessons are always well-structured and clearly planned, which helps me stay focused and understand what I am learning. Topics are explained step by step, allowing me to follow along more easily. This structure also means we can spend more time practising questions and focusing on areas I find difficult, which has helped me make steady progress.

My tutor is also very patient and supportive whenever I find something challenging. They take the time to explain concepts in different ways until I understand, and they never make me feel uncomfortable about asking questions. Their encouragement has helped me become more confident and more willing to keep trying, even when topics are difficult.

The teaching methods that have helped me the most are practice questions, visual examples, and step-by-step explanations. Practice questions allow me to apply what I have learned and strengthen my understanding, while visual examples make complex topics easier to grasp. The step-by-step explanations are especially helpful because they clearly break down each process and build my confidence in answering questions independently.

Looking back over the past three years, the biggest benefit of having tuition has been the improvement in my confidence and understanding of Maths and Science. Before starting, I struggled with both subjects and lacked motivation. Through regular support, clear explanations, and consistent practice, I have become more confident in my abilities and more comfortable asking for help when needed. Tuition has also helped me develop better revision habits and feel more prepared for both classwork and exams.

If a friend asked me about this tuition centre, I would tell them it is definitely worth it if they want extra support and a different way of learning concepts they may not fully understand in school. It helps make difficult topics more manageable and builds confidence going into exams.

Lessons here feel more focused and flexible than in school. There is more time to go over topics in detail, ask questions, and learn at a pace that suits the individual rather than having to keep up with a whole class.

A standout moment for me is when something that once felt confusing suddenly “clicks.” That moment when you realise you fully understand a topic and can complete it on your own is very memorable and rewarding.

Overall, being tutored at Improve Tuition has made difficult subjects feel clearer, more manageable, and significantly less stressful.

When Year 11 was approaching, Mr Dabhad began mentoring me more closely. I have to admit that my motivation was very low at first, and I was quite resistant and uncooperative.

I kept moving forward and then having setbacks. My mindset would improve, then break again. But over time, the support started to get through to me.

At the time, I was working around grades 4s and 5s. Mr Dabhad really believed in my ability before I fully believed in myself. He helped me understand that I was capable of becoming a grade 8 or 9 student.

When things finally started to click, Muhammad, my science and maths tutor, worked really hard with me. My content knowledge was very low, and there was a lot I needed to cover. Through science tuition and maths tuition in Batley, I began to build stronger understanding and better exam technique.

By November, I surprised myself. My marks had gone up by two grades, and I was soon achieving grades 7s and 8s.

Towards the end, I also had some top-up English lessons because English was already one of my stronger subjects. However, Mr Dabhad and the English tutors brought everything together properly. They helped me understand the structure, the assessment objectives, and what to write to reach the higher marks.

The support I received felt like professional mentoring, not just tutoring. Muhammad and Mr Dabhad helped me become stronger academically, more focused, and more willing to work hard.

I joined my GCSE course after coming from an American school, so the transition was really challenging at first. Mr. Dabhad helped me so much in math I was able to go up 3 grades in my GCSE’s. He understands the way I learn and was able to craft lessons according to that to help me succeed, he is also caring, considerate and genuinely cares about the students he tutors.

Dhabad clearly understands the current strengths ans development areas of a child. Slowly starts giving the required guidance and boosts their confidence. I cant recommend the maths tutor (Tayyabah) enough. I wish we found her sooner. The whole experience from first contact to GCSE result was more than we could have hoped for. They totally went out of their way to get the right support and approach that my daughter needed. They certainly went above and beyond to do this. I have never engaged with anybody that has been so helpful in all aspects. Thank you so much, not just from myself but also my daughter who couldn’t believe her Maths result this week.
