first time I ordered. I received a thumbprint cookies. It was horrible! The dough was so sticky and thick. We had to throw it away because it was so sticky. My granddaughter was so disappointed, 10 years old, we had to go to the store and buy cookie dough and then the fondant was supposed to cover 10 cookies and it only barely covered four. Do not buy from them. I contacted them by email and I left a voicemail and it’s been four days and I have no response they are a ripoff company. They are scammers. Do not buy from them.

Disappointed. Thought it was a cool concept. I bought the 3 month pkg but it was too advanced for our little. Couldn’t hold interest.
But be very careful the system doesn’t have auto renew checked… even if you think you have unselected it. They will not fix their error, even though I contacted them right away. Now I’m stuck with three more packages.

I got this subscription for my grandson's 9th birthday, and it's been the best present for BOTH of us...and his little brother! I wish I could add the picture of his finished product--he looks so PROUD!!!🤩 Every time he gets his box, he makes a cooking video to send ME—BEST GIFT EVER for this Grandma!🥰

I read the other reviews and haven't really experienced the same issues. I ordered a 3-month subscription in February and was notified each time it shipped. There is an auto-renewal, which I wasn't aware of---so I got charged another 3-month subscription, but that's on me--I should have remembered to cancel my membership.

One thing I do like is that you can skip a month...if you find the next month's kit isn't a good fit, it's super easy to skip a month in your account.

Also, customer service for me has been prompt and helpful!

Overall, I definitely recommend this kit at least once (or twice if you forget to cancel, lol)--it's been a great connection with my grandsons!

They're entertaining but not cheap. Also, they say the ingredients are all included and that's NOT EVEN TRUE.

I can't believe more people haven't complained about this company. First, the ingredients are horrible for children: sugary, mostly toxic-dye laden ingredients...in fact, I'm not even sure WHAT the ingredients are since nothing has labels. But it's clear, that is just absolute crap. Second, it's SO HARD to cancel these subscriptions. Third, they don't send tracking details about the shipments. And when they arrived in a tightly wrapped package from GOFO, the Chinese last-mile-delivery company, I think I know why they're not giving you the tracking info...because it's coming straight from China.

Great boxes for your kids to use their creativity and be able to bake on their own!

We absolutely loved our experience with I'm The Chef Too! The kit was incredibly convenient—everything we needed was included right in the box, which made it so easy to get started without having to shop for ingredients or supplies.

My kids of different ages all had a great time and were engaged from start to finish. It was a fun activity that brought everyone together and created some really special family bonding time. One of my favorite things was that it gave us the opportunity to tackle a baking project I probably wouldn't have attempted on my own because all of the planning and prep work had already been done for us.

Ordered my 12 month subscription on May 4th. Paid IN FULL for a 12 month subscrition for my grandson. My order wasn't attempted to be filled until May 27th. At that time the kit I ordered was out of stock. Cannot get a replacement kit for several days and my options were limited. Very poor customer servec - although the rep was wonderful, she did not have the tools for successful transctions. I do not recommend this company

The order page says orders placed on or after the 1st will be processed in the following month's shipment. We placed our order on 5/23 and should have been getting the June box but got the May box instead. Wrote email to customer services and called and they said there is nothing they can do. Basically I need to place another order if want the June box.

Incredibly complex. My 4 year old was NOT the chef too, as a matter of fact I at 32 years old struggled with these recipes. Nothing came out the way it was supposed to, I’m extremely disappointed. Not to mention shipping is a nightmare, no delivery notification so if they don’t drop it at your front door you’ll never find it and your ingredients will bake in the sun for days until you stumble across it. All around bad experience.

10/10 experience with the I’m a Chef Too! Barbie cookie kit! My four-year-old daughter absolutely loved the entire process from start to finish. The ingredients were prepackaged and premeasured, which made it easy enough that she could do almost everything on her own with just a little help.

She started by coloring the included design sheet to create dress ideas, which was such a fun creative touch. Then she got to bake and decorate the cookie dresses to put on the Barbie dolls. It was the perfect mix of arts, crafts, and baking, and it kept her engaged the whole time.

Highly recommend for a fun activity and confidence-building experience for little kids who love Barbie and baking!

My experience with this company has been horrific! My granddaughters first kit is well past a month last and still not arrived! They will not give a refund. I’ve lost count as to how many calls i have made. Do not rely on them or buy from them!!!!!

I signed up for a 3-month subscription at a discount. The first box was a shark tart kit. My 6 year old had the best time making it! In addition to the recipe card, there’s a QR code that takes you to a video tutorial, which helped engage my son more than just reading the steps.
I feel like the subscription terms were very straightforward. There’s also an option to cancel right after so you’re not automatically charged again. So far, I’m very happy with this company and baking kits!

Don’t do it! They ship incomplete boxes, you get a little flour and a few gummy bears, everything else you better make sure you have stocked in your own kitchen already! Any issues forget it! HORRIBLE customer service that do not hold themselves accountable for screw ups! Customer warning! It sounds fun but your kid will be disappointed just like you.

I had signed up and paid for a gift subscription for my granddaughter. It took a few months to receive a box because apparently they needed my daughter to “okay it”. For my daughter to okay it, she had to give them her banking account number. She was told they would NOT be using it for payment, but they needed it before they would deliver a box, which was already paid for, by me. Now a year later, they billed my daughter without her consent. We don’t care for the boxes because the instructions are NOT clear, so she isn’t really learning anything, but how to flop. My daughter refused the charges through her bank, but the bank sided on the I’m the chef too because she previously dealt with them. She only dealt with them because I sent my granddaughter a subscription. I feel bad about this. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. BEWARE

Overall I love "I'm the chef too". The bonding that my son and I experience over this and his excitement is priceless. Yes there is an auto renew feature for subscriptions just like anything else (Hulu, netflix) if your on top of it you can remember to cancel before the charges. Some kits are better than others, yes sometimes you may need to have some ingredients (like water on hand), but overall I have no complaints.

The activities were fine and my kid enjoyed them, but I signed up for a one-time 6 month subscription and they auto-renewed the subscription. They said they sent a renewal reminder but because I signed up for a one-time subscription, I never thought to even look for a renewal email. I found out they charged me because they sent an email saying the next box is coming. They gave me a 50% refund but won’t give me a full refund. I feel this is extremely deceptive. Customer service tried to tell me that it is clearly written on their website, but I am pretty sure when I signed up through their Facebook ad that it made it seem like it was a one time subscription. I am also seeing others here who are saying the same thing so it’s not just me.
