Trip of a lifetime!

The most enjoyable 2 week trip we’ve had!
From our first contact with the ever helpful Octavian, to the smooth airport pickup, the amazing accommodations in Moshi/arusha, the unforgettable Kilimanjaro hike with a brilliant team, and our amazing safari experience we could not have asked for a more enjoyable experience. Without a doubt would recommend Incredible Africa adventures for your trip to Tanzania!!

I’ll add bit more detail to emphasise how good the trip was!!

Octavian is so helpful in communications from the outset to our final chat in the airport, he even made the trip to Arusha to meet us at the end of our safari trip! These personal touches make the experience feel like you are truly part of the incredible Africa family.

We booked the 12 day Kilimanjaro trek and safari , this is 7 day trek and 4 day safari with accommodation included before, during and after the trip so 13 days total.
This makes the ideal 2 week trip with a trip to Zanzibar also possible.

We had a team of 12 for our trek, guides Enesmo and John were so knowledgable, motivational and friendly- keeping the positivity going throughout.
The other team members; Jonathon, John, Vicent , August, Ali, Audifast, Prospa, ilidius & Richard were extremely professional, friendly and fun to spend time with.

We will never forget this trip to the top of Africa, and without the team it wouldn’t have been possible!

A Special mention has to go to our chef Matthew, who also joined us on our safari.
The quality and freshness of every meal surpassed all expectations. They call him a magician for good reason! Also just a really nice person and great to spend time with!

Josephat was our safari guide, and we got so lucky. He was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and enthusiastic about the wildlife. He has a huge respect for the animals and we also felt very safe at all times on our drives. Our 4 days with him flew by.

Overall , the experiences will be remembered forever but the people of incredible Africa adventures made it extra special, we hope to see everyone again in the future.

It’s also a local company with a local team so we are delighted to support them. We got a private, luxury trip and the value for money was extraordinary!

I had an amazing experience with Incredible Africa Adventures! I did the 4 day Mt. Meru hike. I felt welcomed from very beginning and their skilled and kind staff members made the whole trip so smooth. Their team was so helpful answering all of my questions before and during the trip, and I felt well cared for. Thank you for an amazing trip!

We chose Incredible Africa Adventures as they were a local company and they went above and beyond from the very start of our trip. I wanted to hike Kilimanjaro for my 30th birthday and I was truly celebrated! The booking process was very easy and all of our questions were answered, including honest pricing and what was included. Octavian took very good care of us from the ! An airport pick up to a beautiful lodge stay before and after the hike, we were very impressed by the service and attentiveness of the team.
Our guides, John and Evelyn, as well as our chef, Matthew, treated us like royalty while doing the 7 day Machame route to the summit. Medical checks were done morning and evening to ensure we were fit to continue hiking and a briefing each done of what to expect for the next day. Our meals were well curated and absolutely delicious. We did not have one boxed meal the entire time (which other companies were having). As we did a private group, which was the way to go, the experience with the team was very personal and it felt like we were part of a family. We were able to acclimatize appropriately, therefore not getting altitude sickness, and were with us all the way to the summit.
We can’t say enough how much we recommend going with this smaller local company as they will exceed your expectations and after seeing other larger companies on the hike, we were absolutely treated the INCREDIBLE.
Best location for the tents, private toilet, best food (Chef Mathew), attentive service from our waiter/Porter Baraca, and our other porters (John, Filipo, Ali, Asiyah, Audifast, Okini, Saul, and Asiyah) who carried our tents, large bags and all supplies and required.

We also added on a four day Safari to the Tanangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Our safari guide, Josephat, was extremely knowledgeable and was with us the entire ride. We saw every animal we wanted to see and the lodges chosen by the company were amazing and added to the once in a lifetime experience. Airport pick up and drop off was included and due to a late flight they even arranged for us to have dinner and a shower before our flight home.
I wish I could give 10/5 stars for this incredible team and company!

Can’t recommend the team at Incredible Africa Adventures enough! We trusted them for a once-in-a-lifetime family safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorogoro Crater, and Tarangire. The process was easy to coordinate and plan from abroad - Octavian was very responsive to questions on WhatsApp, and the payment process was easy - there were no hidden fees or add-ons. Once in Moshi, our guide Peter met us at our hotel to explain the itinerary, what to expect, and answer our questions.

Throughout the safari, Peter was knowledgeable and responsive to our needs. He provided our family with an amazing experience, kept us well fed and hydrated, and was a safe and responsible driver. And the camping accommodations were top notch!

We had such a great experience that we booked another day-tour with Incredible Africa Adventures to Materuni Falls for our last day in Tanzania.

We were interested in hiking this less popular hike that is not really offered by most outfitters. Incredible Africa Adventures was more than accommodating to not only make this happen, but to give us a wonderful Kilimanjaro experience. Their communication was fast and clear, they were punctual, and friendly. Osambe, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the ecology of the area and as excited to do this hike as us. We had the trail to ourselves for the day, perfect weather, a delicious lunch… an ideal hike. This was our first experience in Tanzania and we could not have asked for a better one.

Review

My friend and I did the 7-day Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route followed by the 2-day Short & Sweet Safari.

Both experiences were better than I could have imagined! Booking was really easy and communication was fast through email as well as Whatsapp with Octavian.

We were able to pay a deposit through bank transfer to secure our reservation and the rest in person in cash but you can do credit card as well for a fee.

Octavian picked my friend and I up at the airport and took us to our accommodation which was a really cute and comfortable Lodge. Great services including laundry service and delicious food!

Our tour group met us at the lodge the day of the hike and did a ceremony for us to get us pumped up for the hike with dancing and singing. We all rode together in a van to the trailhead.

The food that was offered was catered to out dietary needs (pescatarian/no dairy) and was sooo good! Fresh fruit, veggies, juice, and even some fish!

The crew was very energetic and friendly throughout the entire experience. Our guides were Rafael and Ester. Both very encouraging the whole way through. We felt very safe with them. Rafael was able to each us about the mountain ecology and point out some unique animals to the area. We really appreciated having a female assistant guide (Ester) as well - being two female hikers. The porters went the extra mile (pun intended) to backtrack and take our packs from us on the final stretches to each camp.

The crew was able to accommodate our hiking abilities and needs by altering the route slightly towards the end of the trip. We shortened the trip by a day to be able to summit a little later in the morning because my friend doesn't do well with cold weather. Our guides were very careful with us as we reached the summit, making sure we were safe and encouraging us along the way.

The 2 day Safari was also incredible! I almost wish we could have stayed longer but we were pretty tired after the hike. If you have time, consider an extra day or two of rest at the lodge in between! Octavian also took us out to buy souvenirs during our day off in between the hike and safari!

Our guide Joe for the safari was so nice and he pointed out allll of the birds for my friend and I. He also was extra careful when driving to avoid getting extra dust in the car because we were struggling with allergies on the trip! We had the same amazing chef for the hike and the safari (Matthew).

I would definitely recommend Incredible Africa Adventures for your trip!
The list of what to bring on the website is very accurate and I had everything I needed. If you have any questions just ask the company ahead of time! They will look at all your gear when you arrive to make sure you have what you need but it may be good to check in ahead of time!

We booked the 7 day Mount Meru and Safari experience with Incredible Africa Adventures and we couldn’t be happier to have done so!

Octavian always answered all of our emails so fast and detailed, that made the organization so easy and we always felt in good hands!

Everything was so smooth from the moment he picked us up from the airport in the middle of the night until sending us off to Zanzibar!

Mount Meru: our guide Raphael, chef Stephen, waiter Jonathan, summit porters Baraka and Silon and the other 2 porters were the most amazing crew for the hike accompanying us with their passion, all time best mood, support, every-time attention to its smallest details, we truly felt so taken care of!! We asked for vegan food and our expectations were exceeded by far! I am so jealous of Stephen’s cooking skills!!

Safari: our guide Chris took us for the safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire and managed to find us very close animal encounters while explaining us all the details about these amazing animals!
We had the pleasure and luck to bring our amazing chef along once more!

The Mount Meru climb was an incredible adventure in itself. We chose the 4-day option and enjoyed every minute of it. Our guide Raphael was amazing, supporting us with his skills, knowledge and humor all the way to the summit. Our summit crew was great, and despite the hard climb we really enjoyed ourselves on the way up and down. Our amazing porters were doing a great job, and we are very much impressed by their strength and the good mood they always kept!

The safari was the second part of our trip, and we managed to get a very close look at some of the Big 5 animals, like lions and elephants. Our guide Chris shared his knowledge and facts and fun parts about the different animals we saw, and the three days in three different national parks passed by too quickly!

The food was delicious throughout the whole trip, thanks to our chef Stephen. We asked for a vegan menu and our expectations were exceeded many times over. From a delicious porridge at breakfast to different stews, salads and veggie combinations for lunch and dinner, to the amazing fresh fruits (all carried up to the mountain during our hike!!!), we did not miss a single thing.

There is not a single thing we would change and nothing we can complain about. It was indeed an Incredible Africa Adventure for us, and all we can say is ASANTE SANA to Octavian, Raphael, Chris, Stephen and the rest of the crew!

I took 7-day Lemosho route with Incredible Africa and had a fabulous unforgettable 7-Star experience. Here's why I am highly confident on recommending Incredible Africa for Kilimanjaro expedition and more:
1. *Meticulous planning and preparation* : this was clearly visible through resource planning and pre-hike briefings.
2. *Clear communication* : this was very imp as being my first high-altitude hike, I was nervous, anxious and had lots of questions. Both our guides, Rafael and Temba, utilized their wealth of knowledge and experience about the mountain and always briefed us regularly, clearly and patiently answered all our questions.
3. *Emphasize on safery first, always* : regular health checks after every dinner and breakfast through a well thought-out recorded scoring system ensured we were in good health and fit to scale heights.
4. *Food, sleep and hydration* : we had an amazing nutritious and delicious food, thanks to our Cook, Elia. George always ensured that food was served to us without any delays and refilled our water supplies. He also woke us up each morning with hot water for wash.
5. *Incredible team co-ordination* - "one-team, one dream": entire team right from the guides, cook and porters who took heavy camping loads, came together as one unit to make our experience a memorable one.
6. Summit night - we did it, Poli-Poli (slowly slowly): 1,300 night climb to Uhuru peak was the toughest of all climbs at Kili and required navigating darkness, strong wind, bone-chilling cold and snow. Guides sang motivating songs to keep us in high spirits, and advised us on how to tackle altitude sickness. Thanks to the Summit Porters, Emanuel and Filipo, who did their parts in carrying our backpacks and other reqd equipments, so we can focus on our climb.

Right from the moment I messaged Octavian, I knew this wasn’t going to be your average tour company. It was going to be Incredible, and I was right! I would not have been able to accomplish this challenge if it wasn’t for the care, dedication, inspiration and knowledge the entire Incredible Africa Adventures family provided me, AND they helped me make my birthday wish come true along with an unforgettable birthday celebration on top of Mount Meru.

When I first reached out to Octavian, the owner of the company and told him that my vision for my 50th birthday was to be on top of Mount Meru on the day of my birthday looking down at the town I was born in (Arusha) at sunrise as my first glimpse of it since I was 6 yrs old; he told me that he would help make this vision happen for me and that they would make it even more special. This is when I knew I was in for an incredible journey.

Octavian not only kept reaching out to me on a weekly basis to make sure I was training, but he gave me tips, and advice to help me. In addition he helped me arrange for anything I needed when I landed - from equipment to transfers and hotels. It was like I had a trusted friend who wanted me to be safe.

The team that he provided for me was incredible. Onesmo, my main guide was a wealth of knowledge. He knew I needed to go slow and steady and helped me understand how to climb the mountain without getting any altitude sickness, and more importantly keeping my spirit and determination up. His knowledge and care of my health and well being was instrumental in me achieving my vision.

My hard working and brilliant Porters and Chef Matthew were superb. The food was amazzzzing. I had home made pizza, stir fry, home made chicken soup, and He made me a Birthday Cake on the Summit of Mount Meru! How exceptional for them all to make me feel special. I felt bad because I could not take advantage of his culinary brilliance more because I was so exhausted.

Meru is a mind challenge climb. It’s one of the hardest and exhausting things I have ever done but with the right team, an experienced and knowledgeable guide, and a feeling of being a member of the family, I was successful in making it to the TOP and DOWN.

My greatest take-away from this experience is that You can accomplish anything when You have the right team to help guide and support you.

I and my friends had a great trip to Tanzania with Incredible Africa Adventures, which exceeded all our expectations.
Octavian helped with the itinerary and organized all the permits, accommodations, and activities. We had a great safari vehicle with big windows and a pop-up roof for viewing animals and the environment, stayed at top lodges, and had the best experience at the parks. We saw all of the Big 5 and a lot more. We had a great safari guide, Peter, who was patient and very professional.

I and my husband spent two days in Ngorongoro Crater and Manyara national park at the end of ferbuary. It was the most amazing experience! Peter our guide was so knowledgable about the animals and the area and we saw so many amazing animals and learned so much. The whole thing was perfect from the booking to the actual trip! The accommodation and food was also excellent. Choose Incredible Africa Adventures for the best trips!!

It was Incredible experience! Incredible Africa Adventures went above and beyond to make our seven days mount Kilimanjaro climb possible! Not only did they cater to our gluten free diet but brought us coffee and hot water in the tent every morning! Our cook was so good at his job and fed us delicious soups and meals! Our guides were very knowledgeable and had hiked the mountain over hundred times. Beyond being knowledgeable they were so much fun and were great motivators. We were in good hands! Every night they did a medical check up including heart rate and amount of oxygen in our blood to insure that we were fine and healthy! I would recommend this company to anyone want to summit Mount Kilimanjaro.
