When we first spoke with InGenius three years ago, my son had been out of school for more than six months and had only just resumed through online courses. At the time, he was not sure he wanted to go to college, and we were uncertain whether he would be accepted anywhere. Three years later, he has received an offer from a top-10 CS program in the United States.

The entire InGenius team made the process of applying to college smoother for our family. Our child was paired with an excellent counseling team that spent time getting to know what mattered most. With that foundation, they guided our child through contextualizing each activity and accomplishment into a cohesive narrative. I very highly recommend InGenius Prep's MBA services. Their team is incredibly dedicated, hard-working, and focused on helping their clients. Their approach is thoughtful and the guidance they provide is precise. Their intimate knowledge and understanding of exactly what admissions officers seek in a candidate (check their credentials!) enable them to give advice that is uniquely effective. If you're serious about giving yourself the best possible chance of 'getting in' to the MBA programs you plan to apply to, you should check these guys out.

We literally just got the news that my daughter was accepted ED to UChicago!!! I still can’t believe I’m typing this. I cried. We all cried. She has been dreaming about UChicago for years.

A huge part of this was working with InGenius’s UChicago former admissions officer, who gave us sooo much insider insight into what the admissions office actually cares about. They helped my daughter pick programs that really matched what shes into, and also kinda helped us avoid some of the super crowded or crazy competetive ones.

Her GC (who has a BA in History from Yale) helped her a ton with the essays, and the final personal statement actually sounded like her, just way more clear and put together.

And honestly, the biggest thing was the academic mentorship. She got to work with a Georgia Tech professor and ended up with a legit research paper. We were told Uchicago really cares about real academic depth, and having that kind of serious research experience made a huge difference for her aplication.

We’re just so so grateful to the whole InGenius team. This whole process has been such an emotional rollercoaster for our family, and seeing her get into her dream school means everything to us.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but working with InGenius Prep ended up being such a good decision. The whole application process is kind of a lot, and I definitely had moments where I felt stuck or overwhelmed.

My counselors were super easy to talk to and really supportive. They didn’t just give generic advice — they actually listened and helped me figure out how to tell my story in a way that sounded like me. The essay feedback was detailed but not overwhelming, and I could tell they genuinely cared about helping me improve instead of just rewriting everything for me.

There were definitely times I overthought things (probably more than I should have), and they were patient about it. That meant a lot.

Overall, I’m really happy with how everything turned out and would recommend InGenius Prep to anyone going through applications. It just made the whole process feel way less intimidating.

I have a great experience with InGenius Prep. Their team is professional and helped pair a great counselor to help my kid's planning. We are particularly grateful for our graduate coach when went above and beyond to support my kid's application. We met offline to brainstorm the essays and the counselor spent extra several hours to ensure my kid's application are in great shape (on top of the regular schedule included in our package). The InGenius staff have been very helpful and responsive—from the sales team to the counselors. Previously, we worked with an independent counselor who was not consistently timely or professional in their communication. After switching to InGenius, we’ve been very happy with our decision.

Both were incredibly responsive, patient, and caring. It never felt transactional. They took the time to truly understand our child’s strengths, goals, and personality.

Not the cheapest consulting service out there, but when it comes to US college admissions, you truly get what you pay for. The guidance was thorough, personalized, and clearly came from people who know the process inside and out. I wish the counselors were more personal and considered me as a whole person, not just a profile or looking for a spike because I have a lot of activities in not just one area. Also, there’s definitely a format and algorithm that the counselors followed, and I wish they pushed for more new ideas and more draft edits for better essays. I felt like I could do better, but they told me that what I had was good enough.

Either way, it was definitely a helpful experience to keep myself on track and to stay away from pitfalls.
