This was my first experience of cartilage piercing and I admit I was nervous. Emma was AMAZING. She took so much time with me, first in curating my ear piercings and then locating them just right for my ear. I absolutely adore my piercings and have recommended Isha to lots of people. I’m back again in a couple of weeks to have some more piercings!
I took my daughter to have her ears pierced and Emma was fabulous. Attention to detail with sterilising the equipment (and talking us through the process) and making my daughter feel at complete ease with the experience was absolutely fabulous. Also the selection of earrings was great, and advice on aftercare amazing. all in all a really great experience and would highly recommend and we wouldn't go anywhere else!
Emma did my daughter first ear piercing ready for her school prom. My daughter was really nervous but Emma talked her through the whole process and made her relax. I recently got a new helix piercing and the whole experience from choosing the correct jewellery to the piercing itself couldn’t have been smoother. The whole team at Isha are kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable. Emma also took the time to make me feel completely at ease on the day, when I felt very nervous. It made the whole process of getting a new piercing a dream. I would highly recommended!
I am extremely disappointed with the situation regarding my piercing I book for the 20/08/26.
I actually drove to Dorchester for my appointment and was phoned 10minutes before my appointment which was you cancelling due to a person being unavailable to do it…this should have been clearly stated on your website when I booked it ,which it was not! Also when I tried to re arrange an appointment for the following Wednesday as I work full time and it is very busy to get time off work..disappointingly I couldn’t rearrange due to your 24hour cancellation policy however I could not meet these terms .i feel I have been treated unfairly with this situation as you will not give me a re fund and I couldn’t get an convenient appointment for myself and this is all due to you absolute incompetent procedure and I’m baffled the 24 hour cancellation procedure doesn’t apply to you. I am a very unsatisfied customer which has put me off from returning!!

I’m very sorry to read this and, having personally reviewed the circumstances surrounding your appointments, I have issued you a full refund.
We absolutely accept responsibility for the original appointment. Due to the requirements of your particular booking, we were unable to accommodate it as planned and, because the studio was extremely busy that day, unfortunately you were not contacted until shortly before your appointment. I appreciate that you had already travelled to Dorchester by this point and completely understand how frustrating that must have been. We should have identified the issue and contacted you sooner, and for that I sincerely apologise.
Following this, you were offered several alternative appointment dates and selected and accepted a new date that suited you.
I would, however, like to clarify one point regarding our cancellation policy. Our 24-hour cancellation terms were not introduced as a result of this situation. They are clearly provided during the online booking process and must be accepted when making an appointment. They are also included again in the appointment confirmation email and are available on our website. The policy was additionally reiterated when your replacement appointment was arranged.
When you subsequently contacted us wishing to cancel that new appointment within the 24-hour period, our usual cancellation policy was therefore initially applied.
However, having reviewed everything personally, I don’t believe it would be fair to consider that second cancellation entirely in isolation. The need for the replacement appointment arose because we had been unable to fulfil your original booking, and I recognise the inconvenience this had already caused you.
For that reason, I have chosen to override our usual cancellation policy on this occasion and have refunded your booking payment in full.
Our cancellation policy is important to a small appointment-based business because late cancellations generally leave us unable to refill reserved appointment time. However, I also believe policies should be applied reasonably and with consideration for individual circumstances. In this instance, I believe a full refund is the fairest resolution.
I am genuinely sorry that your experience with us has left you feeling disappointed. While I cannot undo the inconvenience caused by the original appointment, I hope this clarifies the circumstances and demonstrates that we have taken responsibility for the part we got wrong.

Emma was completely professional, very thorough in explaining the piercing process and recovery period. She was friendly and put me at my ease. I felt confident in arranging the piercing.
The piercing process was straightforward and very professional with complete sterile processes. It had been described on the Internet as one of the most painful piercings to have. Yes, I agree but the pain was only during the penetration for the piercing and fitting the rings. It settled immediately, before I sat up from the couch and I have had no discomfort since. No inflammation or infection.
The shop, the staff and Emma are brilliant; welcoming, kind and professional.
If you can get to Isha Body Jewellery, don't go anywhere else, you would be denying yourself perfection.

I purchased a beautiful threadless end for my nostril piercing. It arrived 2 days after purchase and it looks beautiful in my piercing. It was so reasonably priced, as some studios put a massive markup on their jewellery. I'd recommend this studio and look forward to further purchases.

I was sold a “standard” length labaret for a nostril piercing for which I spent £35.I took it home, sterilized it and put it in my piercing. It was a struggle to put it in as it was too short, and my nose was sore for the rest of the day. The next morning I woke up to an inflamed piercing that was very painful and full of pus, and the top of the jewellery was embedded in my nostril. I went back to the shop and complained, the best that they could suggest was to spend another £35 for a longer labaret and an additional £15 to have it put in. Sorry, but £85 is too much to spend on a retainer. This company is not interested in happy customers, they are interested in making as much money as possible!! I went home and had to cut the top of the labaret off and I am allowing my nose to heal.

Hi Mary,
I understand you came into the shop several times to discuss new jewellery for your piercing obtained at another studio. You were advised to book in for a sterile jewellery fitting where I could have assessed your piercing health to ensure correct jewellery size, style and most importantly, maintain asepsis to reduce the risk of infection. You left to book online later, once you’d consulted your diary.
In the meantime, you did however, fit the jewellery yourself using alcohol to “sterilise”. This in combination with fitting non-sterile jewellery at home most certainly irritated the open wound and probably contributed to an infection risk.
On the Saturday you and I met, your piercing was inflamed, and we did discuss the cause. You acknowledged your piercing was only 4 months and still healing. You also acknowledged your previous Piercer stating that healing would take approximately 9 months. Despite being fully booked, I offered to forfeit my only break that day at 3pm. Sadly, although I waited, you didn’t show or call to cancel.
To remove an inflamed and swollen piercing does require several sterile tools and would require an up size in jewellery length to maintain the piercing and allow recovery. A larger disc to the outside was also necessary as the current one was sitting inside the piercing fistula. This was a requirement to keep the piercing. We also discussed removal.
The jewellery we retail is of the highest standard – approved and verified by the Association of Professional Piercers. It is highly polished and guaranteed for life against workmanship defects.
I am sorry you feel we are to blame but I am sorrier you were not able to book in at the first instance where this outcome would have been prevented. I am saddened to read your thoughts on how I run the business; it is quite the contrary as you will read in the other reviews on Google and Facebook.

I've been here a couple of times for piercings and won't go anywhere else now. Theo at the front of house is welcoming and knowledgeable. Emma who has done my piercings is a joy and a master at her work. The team's attention to hygiene can't be faulted and their professionalism makes me feel I'm in safe hands.
